I loved it!! The bun was great, chicken was nicely seasoned loved their signature sauce the pickles and slaw definitely added to the flavor-I got mine with cheese. The chicken was super tender and juicy-not oily either. So I had been wanting to try them ever since they opened up in Toronto and I'm glad I did. So here's the deal when you eat their food you can instantly tell it's a franchise quality you can't compare it to a place like Chen Chen. The fries too as you can see don't look homestyle but overall I loved it. So I made my order over their website and the entire process was quick and food was ready in timely manner and was packaged well. The only reason I felt makes me hesitate to give them five stars is the price point so this box which has 2 medium sliders with cheese and some fries was $17.99 plus $1.50 for cheese and then the tax. For someone like myself who doesn't have a huge appetite actually ate almost ate a slider and half as they aren't big or filing. For the two sliders I got one hot and one medium. I definitely enjoyed the hot over the latter. They have 2 more spicer levels above hot. Overall definitely will get them again I loved the flavors.

This newish American chain has opened its first store in Canada. I don't see what the hype is all about, though & it's on the pricey side (got to pay franchise fees, I suppose). Had combo 3 which came with 1 slider & 1 tender. Actually both used the same chicken: the slider at $2 more gets you a bit of slaw, less sauce & a bun instead of sliced bread. The chicken was quite good: moist & tender & pretty tasty, though it was a bit too salty (I have a high salt tolerance). Mild was really quite mild though it was a slow burn that intensified a bit. The fries were decent. They were slightly seasoned though a bit too salty. The pickles were ok. The kale slaw was decent - nothing special. Dave's sauce seemed to just be ketchup & mayo.

Got take out with 2 friends since we happened to walk by. We all came to the same consensus that it was GOOD, but a bit too salty. I liked the flavour/seasoning but it wasn't my favourite. I also thought that the price for 1 tender was a bit much ... But I wasn't expecting it to come with bread, pickles, and sauce which definitely made it more worth it! I think the single tender is a good snack, definitely better than grabbing a snack at McDonald's for the same price. Also their tender + sandwich combo is a great deal! We looove the house sauce with fries.

Was in the area for work, and decided to stop by. Ordered a #1 mild heat. The chicken is moist and tender, the outside is firm crispy with flavor. Fries are great and the sauce goes perfect with it. The lady handing the food was super kind! Wish I got her name

Gord and I picked up a late lunch at Dave's Hot Chicken in Parkdale (they opened a couple months ago). Gord got Combo #1 (tenders) with no spice and mac 'n cheese. He liked the tenders and would get them again but wasn't crazy about the mac 'n cheese because of the spice. I liked it so will have it for lunch tomorrow. I got Combo #3 (tenders and slider but with no kale slaw) with lite mild spice and fries. I liked it and would get it again. The fries had a bit of spice on them. The lite mild spice on my sandwich and tenders was spicy enough for me. It was a big meal and I have a tender and half a slider left over for lunch tomorrow. The staff were really friendly!

Lunch for 4 anyone !?!? Introducing Dave's hot chicken I love me some hot sauce as y'all probably know but a spicy sauced up chicken sandwich with the funky cucumber-esk pickles are my weakness !!!! Y'all gotta go try Dave's hot chicken YA HURD !?!?!? Second time in this location. Truly enjoy their fried chicken however, my rating this time did change a little due to their milkshake and me being a little more critical than i was last time. Wait time and service: 5/5 I came early on a Friday morning when it opened so it was really quick as we were the only people there. Food took around 5 minutes. Service was good, the guy who was working by the cashier was really nice and we felt welcomed. Food: 4.5/5 Combo A was good. Two sliders and fries. We got one mild and one extreme spicy. It was really good and it is pretty spicy. Taste was just as i remmebered, the chicken was crunchy and tasted really good. Still didn't understand the wonder bread concept but i rolled With it. Drinks: 3/5 Really didn't like the strawberry milkshake. It took like 2-3 seconds for them to bring it out so I'm not sure if it's Fresh or not. I didn't really like it as it was really sour, didn't finish just threw up. Usually it's hard to go wrong with milkshake. Overall:4/5 Still my go to chicken place. Let me know if anyone has any recommendations. Would definitely come again, i was also told by waiter that they're planning to open a misssisauga location by square one!

    Combo #3 slider and tender

One day, my best friend messaged me saying "I hate this place, it ruined my life. My mom won't stop talking about it and and she even dreamed about it." So of course I had to check this place out. I needed to find out if this chicken really was as good as she said that it was. Hidden away on Queen West in Parkdale is this hot chicken joint. The menu here is simple - they have chicken tenders, sliders, fries, mac and cheese, slaw. As this was my first time here, I decided to get both the slider and the chicken tender because I wanted to have more variety. They have several different options for heat, and I got the hot and I am so glad that I did. It was a nice kick, and it wasn't overwhelmingly spicy. I really liked how crispy their chicken tenders are. The pickles and slice of bread that came with the chicken tender were a nice touch. I liked the slider a bit more, because it was basically a chicken tender between buns joined with a crunchy, creamy slaw. It all worked together to create a symphony of flavor. Service here was also very good. It was quick and efficient, and the restaurant was very clean. The staff uniforms also had a fun saying on the back - get rich or die frying. All in all, while this is a little bit more pricey than the usual fried Chicken joint, it is worth the price. I can't say for sure that I won't be dreaming about this chicken.

Customer Service: Staff was friendly, efficient and the place was clean. Food: I got the chicken sliders with medium spice, simple but so good. It had kale slaw, pickles and dave's sauce. They sliders were filling and tasty, with tender, juicy chicken- not too oily. The sauce and toppings were exactly what I wanted, and the spicy was a nice kick

    slider with Reaper sauce
    Robert L.

Just learned about Dave's Hot Chicken (and their connection to Drake) yesterday and was super excited to try them, especially with the Reaper sauce as Carolina Reaper is my favourite hot pepper. I love how their disclaimer says it can cause "emotional distress, or even death." Lol It arrived super quickly through Doordash...my first impression was that I liked the packaging (love the logo) and nice to see the checkmark next to "Reaper." Upon first bite my impression was "excellent"! Really like the texture and it had a legit level of heat. I wouldn't say that it is "waiver sauce" level though. Carolina Reaper is about 1,500,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU) and I would say this was about half that (based on comparable sauces). It felt at least as hot, if not more so, as Five Points (now closed down). For someone who routinely does waiver challenges or that type of thing, this should be no problem but "civilians" who find suicide sauces at wing places to be too hot should probably stay away from this sauce. I should also point out that the "sliders" are bigger than I thought...basically their chicken fingers between buns with coleslaw. As such, I think I would order one slider and the cheese fries next time. I did like the plain crinkle fries so adding cheese could only make them better. Thankfully I didn't die or get so emotionally distressed that I couldn't write this recommendation.

Been on my to try list for a while but the lines up's were insane in the beginning. Found my opportunity with no line. The ordering was a breeze and the employees were very nice. Got the combo. They have Apple Pay which is awesome. The food came out surprisingly fast. The food was delicious and I will most definitely be back.

Update: the chicken portions are more so tiny compared to what they used to be. Flavour is still amazing Update: this place is still the #1 fried chicken in Toronto. This LOCATION specifically as welll is my favourite!! I literally go at least once a week! EAT their eat fresh and u will fall in love!' This is by far the best FRIED CHICKEN in TOWN! Its a lot of meat for a tender. Its juicy, crispy and well seasoned. The service at that specific location is beyond exceptional. The food always comes out fresh. *Tyson* always goes above and beyond to make sure the food is up to expectations!! I literally come to that location because of TYSON! This manager is by far one of the best in any restaurant chain I have been too!

We finally got a chance to try this place out after hearing about all the hype. We tried last weekend but the lineup was super long and went all the way around the corner of the restaurant. Today as we arrived there was no lineup outside. Perfect timing !! We ordered the combo #1 (reaper), combo #2 (extra hot) and combo #3 (no spice). The chicken tasted so good. The reaper was super hottt !! Not for those with low spice tolerance. I think the extra hot is perfect for me giving the best compromise for spice while still being able to enjoy the food. Not sure if I'd come here again even though the food was real good. I gave this place a 4/5 star only because it's not that forgiving on your wallet.....

Overall, my experience was alright. Nothing screamed out "Oh I have to go again!" or "let me tell…read moresomeone about this!". The piece of chicken on my sandwich was a rather peculiar piece in terms of its shape. It did not provide an enjoyable eating experience. When I took my first bite, after figuring out which would be an easy bite, a piece of chicken fell out which made me realize it was two separate pieces of chicken inbetween two buns. It got rather messy after having to pick up the fallen pieces. Other than that, it was flavorful but wasn't the best I've had. I prefer Dave's Hot Chicken over this. My fries were pretty salty. If given the option, I would have requested lightly salted or no salt at all. Space was small but understandable as it seemed to be a carry-out spot. Customer service wasn't quite all that. The girl took our order and that was it. Not much of a greeting nor farewell/thanks for coming. We didn't receive a follow-up during our meal to see if we may needed anything. I would have benefited from extra napkins. My friend enjoyed his meal. He stated it was a good meal but he wouldn't go out of his way to get this. He would have preferred to uber-eats it if he lived here. What made me want to go was the name. My last name is the same as the restaurant name so I figured give it a go! Just a heads up though, if you order "mild" it is still definitely spicy, but in a good way. That said, the service was a big downside. When I went with friends, the place was not even busy, but it still took about 20 minutes for our food to come out (yes I counted because we were in a rush). We only ordered two tenders with no drink. For something that feels like fast food, that is pretty unreasonable. I also went specifically to try the mozzarella sticks, but we were told they had not even started making them and it would take another 40 minutes, which is kind of wild. Even when our food was ready, things moved really slowly. The cashier took SEVERAL minutes just labeling and staring at each box, even though we all ordered the same thing, and then another minute just to put everything into a paper bag. Maybe it was his first day? Another frustrating part was that the washrooms were locked, so we could not even use them while we were there, which was a mild inconvenience, but I think bathroom access in a spicy chicken shop is a bit crucial. On top of that, it is pretty expensive for what you get. Overall, the food is the only thing really saving this place. It tastes incredible, but because of the slow service, locked washrooms, and high prices, I probably would not go back.
