I loved it!! The bun was great, chicken was nicely seasoned loved their signature sauce the pickles and slaw definitely added to the flavor-I got mine with cheese. The chicken was super tender and juicy-not oily either. So I had been wanting to try them ever since they opened up in Toronto and I'm glad I did. So here's the deal when you eat their food you can instantly tell it's a franchise quality you can't compare it to a place like Chen Chen. The fries too as you can see don't look homestyle but overall I loved it. So I made my order over their website and the entire process was quick and food was ready in timely manner and was packaged well. The only reason I felt makes me hesitate to give them five stars is the price point so this box which has 2 medium sliders with cheese and some fries was $17.99 plus $1.50 for cheese and then the tax. For someone like myself who doesn't have a huge appetite actually ate almost ate a slider and half as they aren't big or filing. For the two sliders I got one hot and one medium. I definitely enjoyed the hot over the latter. They have 2 more spicer levels above hot. Overall definitely will get them again I loved the flavors.

This newish American chain has opened its first store in Canada. I don't see what the hype is all about, though & it's on the pricey side (got to pay franchise fees, I suppose). Had combo 3 which came with 1 slider & 1 tender. Actually both used the same chicken: the slider at $2 more gets you a bit of slaw, less sauce & a bun instead of sliced bread. The chicken was quite good: moist & tender & pretty tasty, though it was a bit too salty (I have a high salt tolerance). Mild was really quite mild though it was a slow burn that intensified a bit. The fries were decent. They were slightly seasoned though a bit too salty. The pickles were ok. The kale slaw was decent - nothing special. Dave's sauce seemed to just be ketchup & mayo.

Got take out with 2 friends since we happened to walk by. We all came to the same consensus that it was GOOD, but a bit too salty. I liked the flavour/seasoning but it wasn't my favourite. I also thought that the price for 1 tender was a bit much ... But I wasn't expecting it to come with bread, pickles, and sauce which definitely made it more worth it! I think the single tender is a good snack, definitely better than grabbing a snack at McDonald's for the same price. Also their tender + sandwich combo is a great deal! We looove the house sauce with fries.

Was in the area for work, and decided to stop by. Ordered a #1 mild heat. The chicken is moist and tender, the outside is firm crispy with flavor. Fries are great and the sauce goes perfect with it. The lady handing the food was super kind! Wish I got her name

Gord and I picked up a late lunch at Dave's Hot Chicken in Parkdale (they opened a couple months ago). Gord got Combo #1 (tenders) with no spice and mac 'n cheese. He liked the tenders and would get them again but wasn't crazy about the mac 'n cheese because of the spice. I liked it so will have it for lunch tomorrow. I got Combo #3 (tenders and slider but with no kale slaw) with lite mild spice and fries. I liked it and would get it again. The fries had a bit of spice on them. The lite mild spice on my sandwich and tenders was spicy enough for me. It was a big meal and I have a tender and half a slider left over for lunch tomorrow. The staff were really friendly!

Lunch for 4 anyone !?!? Introducing Dave's hot chicken I love me some hot sauce as y'all probably know but a spicy sauced up chicken sandwich with the funky cucumber-esk pickles are my weakness !!!! Y'all gotta go try Dave's hot chicken YA HURD !?!?!? A++ For more food reviews and recommendations follow my instagram food blog @arieshungrie or on my website www.arieshungrie.com | I taste & review the good, bad & the ugly so you can get straight to the good. Second time in this location. Truly enjoy their fried chicken however, my rating this time did change a little due to their milkshake and me being a little more critical than i was last time. Wait time and service: 5/5 I came early on a Friday morning when it opened so it was really quick as we were the only people there. Food took around 5 minutes. Service was good, the guy who was working by the cashier was really nice and we felt welcomed. Food: 4.5/5 Combo A was good. Two sliders and fries. We got one mild and one extreme spicy. It was really good and it is pretty spicy. Taste was just as i remmebered, the chicken was crunchy and tasted really good. Still didn't understand the wonder bread concept but i rolled With it. Drinks: 3/5 Really didn't like the strawberry milkshake. It took like 2-3 seconds for them to bring it out so I'm not sure if it's Fresh or not. I didn't really like it as it was really sour, didn't finish just threw up. Usually it's hard to go wrong with milkshake. Overall:4/5 Still my go to chicken place. Let me know if anyone has any recommendations. Would definitely come again, i was also told by waiter that they're planning to open a misssisauga location by square one!

    Combo #3 slider and tender

One day, my best friend messaged me saying "I hate this place, it ruined my life. My mom won't stop talking about it and and she even dreamed about it." So of course I had to check this place out. I needed to find out if this chicken really was as good as she said that it was. Hidden away on Queen West in Parkdale is this hot chicken joint. The menu here is simple - they have chicken tenders, sliders, fries, mac and cheese, slaw. As this was my first time here, I decided to get both the slider and the chicken tender because I wanted to have more variety. They have several different options for heat, and I got the hot and I am so glad that I did. It was a nice kick, and it wasn't overwhelmingly spicy. I really liked how crispy their chicken tenders are. The pickles and slice of bread that came with the chicken tender were a nice touch. I liked the slider a bit more, because it was basically a chicken tender between buns joined with a crunchy, creamy slaw. It all worked together to create a symphony of flavor. Service here was also very good. It was quick and efficient, and the restaurant was very clean. The staff uniforms also had a fun saying on the back - get rich or die frying. All in all, while this is a little bit more pricey than the usual fried Chicken joint, it is worth the price. I can't say for sure that I won't be dreaming about this chicken.

Customer Service: Staff was friendly, efficient and the place was clean. Food: I got the chicken sliders with medium spice, simple but so good. It had kale slaw, pickles and dave's sauce. They sliders were filling and tasty, with tender, juicy chicken- not too oily. The sauce and toppings were exactly what I wanted, and the spicy was a nice kick

    slider with Reaper sauce
    Robert L.

Just learned about Dave's Hot Chicken (and their connection to Drake) yesterday and was super excited to try them, especially with the Reaper sauce as Carolina Reaper is my favourite hot pepper. I love how their disclaimer says it can cause "emotional distress, or even death." Lol It arrived super quickly through Doordash...my first impression was that I liked the packaging (love the logo) and nice to see the checkmark next to "Reaper." Upon first bite my impression was "excellent"! Really like the texture and it had a legit level of heat. I wouldn't say that it is "waiver sauce" level though. Carolina Reaper is about 1,500,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU) and I would say this was about half that (based on comparable sauces). It felt at least as hot, if not more so, as Five Points (now closed down). For someone who routinely does waiver challenges or that type of thing, this should be no problem but "civilians" who find suicide sauces at wing places to be too hot should probably stay away from this sauce. I should also point out that the "sliders" are bigger than I thought...basically their chicken fingers between buns with coleslaw. As such, I think I would order one slider and the cheese fries next time. I did like the plain crinkle fries so adding cheese could only make them better. Thankfully I didn't die or get so emotionally distressed that I couldn't write this recommendation.

Been on my to try list for a while but the lines up's were insane in the beginning. Found my opportunity with no line. The ordering was a breeze and the employees were very nice. Got the combo. They have Apple Pay which is awesome. The food came out surprisingly fast. The food was delicious and I will most definitely be back.

We finally got a chance to try this place out after hearing about all the hype. We tried last weekend but the lineup was super long and went all the way around the corner of the restaurant. Today as we arrived there was no lineup outside. Perfect timing !! We ordered the combo #1 (reaper), combo #2 (extra hot) and combo #3 (no spice). The chicken tasted so good. The reaper was super hottt !! Not for those with low spice tolerance. I think the extra hot is perfect for me giving the best compromise for spice while still being able to enjoy the food. Not sure if I'd come here again even though the food was real good. I gave this place a 4/5 star only because it's not that forgiving on your wallet.....

Update: the chicken portions are more so tiny compared to what they used to be. Flavour is still amazing Update: this place is still the #1 fried chicken in Toronto. This LOCATION specifically as welll is my favourite!! I literally go at least once a week! EAT their eat fresh and u will fall in love!' This is by far the best FRIED CHICKEN in TOWN! Its a lot of meat for a tender. Its juicy, crispy and well seasoned. The service at that specific location is beyond exceptional. The food always comes out fresh. *Tyson* always goes above and beyond to make sure the food is up to expectations!! I literally come to that location because of TYSON! This manager is by far one of the best in any restaurant chain I have been too!

I got 3 sandwiches for me and my family (4 people including me). What we ordered: Mona Lisa: 8/10 For both of the sandwiches the bread was very fresh and delicious! They make them fresh for each order and you can taste the quality. The flavours in the Mona Lisa worked really well together, I loved the truffle cream and burrata. Torino: 7/10 This sandwich was also good, but the I felt like it was lacking something, especially compared to the mona lisa. The spicy eggplant just tasted like plain pickled eggplant and wasn't that spicy. I feel like both sandwiches were a bit salty due to the prosciutto, and were missing some sweet or acidic element. I added some balsamic glaze and hot honey at home which was great! The portion sizes are HUGE, the 4 of us were quite full after splitting the 3.

And it pains me to write this review about the bad quality of their entrees. I've been to Naomi twice. The first time I bought the Salmon bibimbap and the second time I bought the Chicken teriyaki. The pictures looked really really good so I opted for them, but both dishes were disgusting. I was really thrown off by how quickly they were able to prepare both dishes. Under 5 minutes?!?! It seemed almost too good to be true. When I opened the container and took the first bite of the meat, I fully understood why. Naomi uses canned meats. For some people, this is okay, but I really could not stand how "plastic" the chicken felt. The meats weren't even seasoned, rather covered in mediocre sauces. The teriyaki sauce wasn't even teriyaki sauce... it was a transluscent orange with a syrupy consistency. The bibimbap was also poorly done. There was no sunny side up egg, and the only veggies consisted of bland bean sprouts, overcooked carrots, and boiled spinach. Although, the "gochujang" sauce was not bad. However, my friends have all claimed that Naomi's sandwiches are extremely tasty, but after my two bad experiences, I'm probably not going to come back. TLDR: don't get any entrees. Stick with the cafe classics.
