The moment we sat down, we were greeted with, "Thank you for being here, Mrs. Garcia." It was such a small detail, but in hospitality, those are the moments that define an experience. From that point on, the service never missed. Every recommendation felt genuine, every plate was timed beautifully, and the entire evening flowed effortlessly. I also tried the Paloma, which tasted incredibly fresh and citrus-forward, and their Mexican martini, which carried the same intentionality. Then came the oysters, served ice cold with a chiltepín mignonette that deserves its own spotlight. Bright acidity, subtle spice, and enough complexity to enhance the oyster without masking it. Our group of seven arrived, pure as freshly fallen snow, our clothes laundered, our bodies showered, our souls PRISTINE. We smelled of hope. We smelled of anticipation. We smelled of the faint cologne of Derek and the subtle perfume of Susan. We absolutely, positively, 100% did NOT smell like marijuana because--plot twist--NONE OF US HAD SMOKED ANYTHING. But Danielle, with the detective skills of a retired DEA agent who has "seen things," took one whiff of our collective existence and decided we were a threat to public decency. THE ACCUSATION "I'm going to have to ask you to leave," she said, her face twisted in an expression that suggested she could smell through dimensions we didn't know existed. What makes this situation even more concerning is the apparent removal of negative reviews. **I have noticed reviews addressing customers' negative experiences disappearing, which raises serious questions about whether the restaurant is attempting to control or suppress legitimate customer feedback rather than addressing the underlying complaints.** If customers are taking the time to share their experiences, those concerns should be addressed not simply hidden. I strongly urge the owners and corporate leadership to investigate Danielle's conduct, review the complaints being made by customers, and determine whether she should continue representing this restaurant in a management position. Extremely Disappointing and Uncomfortable Experience My husband and I went here last night, and quite honestly, we have never felt so unwelcome and uncomfortable in an establishment. We are a mixed gay couple, and unfortunately, the treatment we received made us question whether we were being treated differently because of who we are. The looks, the attitude, and the overall way we were made to feel were completely unacceptable. We walked in as paying customers expecting nothing more than to enjoy ourselves and be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Instead, we felt like our presence was an inconvenience. Let me be very clear: we know the difference between someone simply having a bad night and being made to feel unwelcome. Last night felt personal. Nobody should have to sit in a restaurant or establishment wondering, "Are we being treated this way because we're gay?" That is an incredibly uncomfortable feeling, and unfortunately, that is exactly how we left feeling. We work hard for our money, and when we choose to spend it at a business, we expect to be treated with the same dignity and respect as everyone else. Our relationship, our race, or our sexual orientation should never determine the level of respect we receive. We will absolutely not be returning. What was supposed to be an enjoyable night out turned into a horrifying display of racial profiling and blatant injustice. Out of nowhere, management descended upon our table and targeted my friend with completely baseless, aggressive scrutiny. Without a single shred of evidence, they accused my friend of smoking marijuana. The charge was absurd, completely fabricated, and clearly rooted in prejudice. When we tried to point out how impossible their claim was, they refused to listen. I suffer from severe asthma--if there had been any smoke at our table, I would have had an immediate medical crisis and been in the back of an ambulance, not sitting there calmly. My health condition alone made their accusation a physical impossibility. Instead of checking their bias or listening to basic logic, they doubled down on their humiliating lie and threw us out. To be racially profiled, falsely accused, and forced to leave over something that literally could not have happened is beyond unacceptable. The biggest issue was the manager, Danielle. Instead of trying to resolve the situation professionally, her attitude and the way she handled our concerns made an already disappointing experience significantly worse. A manager should know how to listen to customers, communicate respectfully, and de-escalate a problem. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with Danielle at all. I can overlook a mistake with food or service -- things happen. What I cannot overlook is poor management and the feeling that a legitimate customer concern simply doesn't matter. We left extremely disappointed and frustrated. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant and I have no intention of returning. Danielle the general manager took it upon herself to assume some may discriminate but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. She no longer wanted to serve alcohol to a group of 4 brown skinned friends, claiming to smell a strong odor of marijuana when neither of them smoke and she then followed up the claim saying customers complained about a strong odor coming from the woman's restroom where one of the customers went but she used the men rooms so there's the definable reason of her assuming without knowing the proper facts. She never saw them personally smoking marijuana just assumed with a restaurant full of people that it's this group of individuals who happen to be a darker tone so I don't know who wouldn't think it's racially biased knowing the facts. The group wouldn't mind taking a test to prove it and even then that's such a hostile position to put your customer in accusing them without reliable proof. read more

Came with some professional friends, and with all the open seating, we're put in a crowded area of most people of color. I told them we had more people company and she said they would seat them next to us. I never mentioned they were white -- all. Why did they get sat over in the nearly empty section. That's #1! Quicker service. Drink automatic. We made them seat us with THEM no matter how much they objected. We ordered Muchacho Margarita and the drink was cool! After we were seated at our table, I ordered a Hibiskiss and this drink was better! There's complimentary chips and salsa and I enjoyed both salsa as they were not overly spicy. We ordered plenty of starters - crab tostada, chargrilled oysters, and yellowtail aguachile negro. I really hated the oysters and even with them being chargrilled! Most of the food was basic but ultimately I didn't feel welcomed. read more
