    Octopus

Came here on a Saturday evening to celebrate my birthday, which I got complimentary Greek yogurt soft serve with a candle. Not too many restaurant does complimentary desserts anymore. I think Even Coast only gave complimentary candles. The restaurant offers great ambiance for both indoor and patio area. Food was delicious with unique flavors. Loved how refreshing the scallop appetizer was. We wanted to drink the sauce they used. The sauce for the yellowtail was a little strong for a fish dish. Octopus was maybe a little too overcooked and tender that it seems a bit mushy but we loved the sauce they used. Only complaint I really have is that they have one men's and one women's restroom. For a restaurant this size they should have walk in bathroom with 2 stalls. There was a little line for the women's restroom and I only needed to wash my hands, so I used the men's restroom to do so.

Trendy and vibey new coastal mexican spot. The bar is beautiful, love their craft cocktails! Highly recommend the cotton candy cocktail. Some of my faves were the octopus, ceviche and the salad with steak. It's a loud restaurant so don't expect to have intimate date night conversations here. It was a little hot the night we came, not sure if there was a problem with the AC, service was not as attentive.

    Aguachile SO FRESH

Had a really great experience at Maroma Coastal Cuisine. We sat at the bar and Cynthia absolutely made the night. She was warm, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and just genuinely gave outstanding service from start to finish. Food-wise, everything we tried was excellent. The yellowtail aguachile was fresh and packed with flavor. The beef cheek sopes were incredible. We also loved the beef tacos, which were served flat, almost nacho-style but on soft corn tortillas. Totally different presentation than I've had before and really good. The octopus was perfectly tender, and the fingerling potato chips with it were such a great touch. Cocktail-wise, the Hibis-Kiss was a little sweet for our personal taste, but the Maroma Paloma was refreshing and absolutely on point, especially with the prosecco. The atmosphere is an upscale tropical vibe without feeling pretentious or overly loud. Stylish, relaxed, and comfortable. They also have a patio plus valet parking. Definitely a great addition to the Dallas Design District scene, and we'll absolutely be back.

It's rare for me to review a place after just one visit, but I need the world to know about how great Maroma is!! From the service to the food and everything in between, I have zero complaints. I tried the strawberry mojito, beef sopa (appetizer), and snapper with rice (entree). Everything was soooo good! The drink was perfectly balanced, appetizers were super flavorful and unique, and the snapper was the best I've ever had. Every dish was bursting with flavor. I can't wait to go back and try everything else on the menu.

I got some type of salad with the black beans super yummy ate the beans down my friend got tacos she liked them as well the ambiance was stunning the only thing I didn't really like was bc they put this restaurant that was already in a building so the restrooms are for men and women and I feel like restaurants should have a big restroom for both women and I guess men so we don't have to wait in lines

Maroma has a stylish coastal-Mexican vibe with an upscale yet relaxed atmosphere. We sat on the patio, which was a great touch -- the setting felt lively, comfortable, and perfect for a dinner and drinks night out. Service was also excellent. Our server, Miguel, took great care of us, knew the menu really well, and all of his recommendations ended up being great choices. For cocktails, we tried the Paloma, Muchacho Margarita, Peeled Proof, and Fuego Fresh. The Peeled Proof stood out -- the charred banana added a unique depth of flavor that made the drink memorable. Fuego Fresh was also super refreshing. For appetizers, we ordered the Smoked Beef Cheek Barbacoa Sopes, which were incredibly flavorful. The meat was tender and almost melt-in-your-mouth. For mains, we had the Red Snapper and the Baja Fish Tacos. The red snapper had a great crispy texture while still being flavorful and balanced. The fish tacos were lightly battered, fresh, and the carrot slaw added a really nice crunch and freshness. For dessert, we tried the Pistachio Soft Serve and the Chocolate Tart. The soft serve wasn't really our favorite, but the chocolate tart was excellent and definitely the standout dessert. Overall, Maroma is a great spot for elevated coastal Mexican food, creative cocktails, and a beautiful patio atmosphere in Dallas.

Was pretty empty during a Monday at dinner time, and service was quick. I liked the coastal vibes inside. The steak was great too!

Absolutely loved the place, from valet to the check everything was awesome! I tried their Instagram famous cotton candy cocktail and unfortunately was not it for me but only because it's not my preferred type of cocktail otherwise I'm sure most people will like it! Bartenders are great and make some good Negroni as well! For appetizer I got calamari and it was very fresh and for main dish I had octopus and it was delicious as well!

The restaurant itself is always clean and orderly. And the staff is always friendly and efficient. My favorite go-tos are the Queso Blanco and the Chicken Fajitas. The Queso is second to none. The Chicken Fajitas always have a nice wood grilled flavor to them that is sure to please you! A few times I have made it to dessert, but not very often. My favorite dessert herebis the churros. They are delicious in their own right, but they also give you different dipping sauces like chocolate, caramel, or even a vanilla cream. They are served hot and fresh!

I was not disappointed at all with this experience and it offered a ton of great food options. To highlight a couple of the items given on that "secret" experience was the tamales, the wagyu steak and the green sauce that came with it, and the sponge cake at the end was a great finisher.
