Just finished my second session with Kendra! I'm hooked! I've never had such incredibly fast results from a single full bodied massage! Kendra definitely knows her stuff! She's a perfect balance of deep tissue and pressure point massage... I first came because of an extremely stiff neck I couldn't get rid of with heating pads or pain killers so I decided to try Mantis Massage. I first was drawn to its small and cozy atmosphere... I didn't want a big corporation that was gonna hassle me into a package or membership... Kendra gets straight to business and doesn't waste any time! I'm a customer to Kendra for life and she's helping my body stay healthy for my barber career!!!! You definitely get your money's worth at this business!!! read more

Mantis was recommended to me by another masseuse as the place she goes for a massage; which is pretty much all you need to know. Plus, I'm always happy to support a woman owned, woman run business! I was overdue for some body work, and Kyra made me hurt so good! Very reasonable prices, worth every penny. Can't wait to go back! read more

Mantis has saved my ability to move many times. If you ever get a muscle locked up, this place is the key to unlock it. If you're miserably sore and in pain, they'll get in deep and roll it right out. Or even if you're simply stressed and just need to make your body relax for once, this is the place to go. I've been going to Mantis for a year now, and this south location is spectacular and so much closer. Hopefully they keep expanding south and open a SouthPark Meadows location soon! Monica, Kelsey, and Lindsey are all miracle workers and should be given a sainthood for the acts of muscle mercy they perform. Go! Do it! read more

I needed a real massage therapist to work out a lot of the secondary trauma that I hold in my body. Maureen did an excellent job. Scheduling was easy, the price was fair and there was plenty of parking. I felt well cared for during my visit and I will return in 90 days. read more

Exactly as advertised. Great massages, no extra nonsense, spa water etc...woman owned and run. I'll be back

Comfy place, easy to find, ample parking. I like Mantis because the focus is on straight-up massage work. Julia is fantastic!

The space is amazing, Liz is amazing, the massage was amazing. Affordable yet thorough. Liz answered all my questions, gave me options, and checked in with me at all the right times! I'll be back :) read more

I ain't here to just relax. My whole body is jacked up, but what sent me in was dull achey pain in my leg and sore feet. Cait actually LISTENED when I said my legs and feet hurt and that the whole right side of my body is way worse than my left side and concentrated on those areas. A lot of therapists elsewhere, too many really, ask you what's wrong and then do their same old same old thing. Was glad to find a place that actually helps you work on your pain. Made a second appt when leaving. 10/10 would recommend Mantis and Cait. read more

The location was great. Serene and tranquil. Great calming scents and music. Diane was my masseuse, and she didn't a great job. She was thorough and had strong hands. I highly recommend this location. read more

I am sleeping well tonight thankfully to Sandra! I am so happy with the treatment I received and how welcoming this business is. Sandra was so calming but treated my tension and soreness with such precision. Thank you so much! Can't wait to come back! read more

Michelle was wonderful! Very calming atmosphere and she knew what she was doing.

I'ver been having regular sessions with Kelsey for about 4 months now. I highly recommend Mantis and Kelsey. She has addressed my TMJ issues and springs me back to life after a week of less than perfect seating at my client sites, an ever-changing array of hotel beds and criss-crossing the country in airplane seats. Mantis has great facilities at both of its locations. The staff are well-trained and very professional, the scheduling system is a breeze to use, and the price point is exactly where it should be. Both thumbs up on this one. read more

I bought a massage for my boyfriend here and he was booked with Kendra. He has literally never had a professional massage in his life; so I was pumped to see his reaction. He LOVED it. He said she was incredible and really worked out his shoulders and back. It was 45 minutes and only $59...which is extremely reasonable to me. We will definitely be back! read more

Today I went and got a massage for the first time . Lindsay was my massage therapist . She was very professional and nice . She worked some magic because I can move farther than I could this am and with way less pain. I was in a car accident about two weeks ago and the pain has just persisted . This is one of the first times I have felt relief . I already booked my second appointment. read more

Mantis Massage - Massage Near Me - Austin, Texas

I had a 75 minute massage with Cait on a Thursday morning. The facility is calming and very nice. She was prompt (even at the early hour) and very pleasant as she listened to my needs. I have had a lot of tightness in my neck and shoulder area. She was able to work those areas very well while providing a very relaxing whole body massage. I feel so much better! Cait is fantastic and this is a wonderful facility to relax and unwind during a busy week. read more

I had my first ever prenatal massage with Khammi, Advanced Therapist. I came in feeling fatigued, tense and pain in my left side (sciatica) where it was painful to walk. After my massage with Khammi, I felt refreshed and the pain subsided. She was very pleasant and made sure I was comfortable throughout my entire massage. Cant wait to make this a reoccurring routine (after baby). Thank you again, Khammi for your wonderful service. read more

Hunter was awesome. Best massage I have ever had. Listened to my problem areas. Super clean and professional. Will be back forsure.

Lindsey was amazing. The way she uses her feet to find every nook and cranny is unusual, yes, but, also, very affective. It gives a much more flowing massage over a larger surface area than using the hands and her control of pressure is spot on. I wholly recommend her for a great therapeutic massage. read more

I had my first massage here and it was one of the best I ever had (and I had many many in the past)! My therapist was Khammi and she was sweet and very talented. The atmosphere is also very relaxing and from a logistical standpoint, there's plenty of parking so you don't have to stress about that. Their prices are also very reasonable and much better than other competitors in the surrounding area. I'm going to purchase the 3 session package which gives me a better deal and will be back to see Khammi! I highly recommend Mantis Massage. read more

I went in for a 90 minute Swedish massage with Julia and she was amazing! I am two months postpartum and was in major need of relaxation and easing of my tired muscles. She made sure I was comfortable and relaxed the whole way through and adjusted her pressure until it was perfect. She also offered cupping, which I had never tried, and I actually really liked it. The atmosphere was calming and everything was clean and well-maintained. I am so pleased! I will definitely be going back to Julia! read more

Cori was awesome! I normally have back pain from lifting my toddler up and down, but she was great at understanding what I needed. Thanks Cori. read more

I was drawn in by the name of the place, Mantis which i assumed referenced the matriarchal insects and their propensity to consume their counterparts after coupling. I can only assume thats what my LMT does in their free time bc they beat me up with the strength of several humans, turned up the heat on me, I was rolled out like a gingerbread man. I came in the place hobbling, a frozen potato I mean it- i had to be carried out on a platter with a ramekin of ketchup. Its a day later and I feel like a new person, really. Not feeling like a food metaphor anymore! Very nice staff, verrrry good value, especially considering the ease of booking and quality of the physical location. read more

My husband and I got a couples massage here while we were on vacation in Austin. The congress ave location was cute and relaxing. We both agree these were the best massages we've ever had! Melanie was my masseuse and my husband had Caitlyn who suggested he try cupping and it really helped him. Melanie was awesome and used a lot of pressure points which was great. We literally woke up the next morning sore from our massages, it was awesome! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone! If we are ever back in Austin we will surely make it a point to get appointments again. read more

Wow! I needed an emergency massage after landing in Austin for a business trip. I lucked out!! First, I must say that I am a massage connoisseur. I've tried all styles and have high standards. My massage with Lindsay at the So. Congress location was one of the best I've ever received. Hands down (pun intended). She uses a style called Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage. I've had some footwork done during other Shiatsu massages, but this was ALL feet. Such an interesting and effective way to get in there, especially in my upper back and shoulders. I wish I lived in Austin so I could become a regular. 5 stars!! read more

I recently strained my lower back while deadlifting and I was in pain for the past week and a half! I received a relaxing, deep tissue massage from Kelsey and I literally walked out of there with no pain at all. Her fingers were like MAGIC!!! She relieved my pain and also helped relieved some stress that I had been holding on my neck and shoulders. I highly recommend getting a massage from her! It was AMAZING!!! I am definitely going to go back when need be! Thier overall staff were super friendly and professional. read more

I got a massage here after receiving gift cards for mother's day. I made my appointment with Katie and she was great! I will definitely go back! Their space is calming and lovely, lots of white noise, ambiance, wonderful and calming smells. Katie was very considerate to ask to where my issue areas were and did an awesome job working on some of my knots. I will definitely be back! read more

Mantis is hands down the best place and best value in Austin. Mantis goes above and beyond to make you feel safe and comfortable during this crazy pandemic. I can't say enough good things about my experience read more

Outstanding massage. Krysten listened carefully to my issues then focused her work to address those. I have been experienced chronic low back pain and hip restriction. After the massage, what a world of difference; no pain! read more

Well, first off, I got turned around driving there and was late--ugh! Kendra put me at ease right away and did not make me feel embarrassed about that. She is VERY knowledgeable about muscles and connective tissues and explained where she was finding tension. She worked to an effective deep level without causing pain, as I have experienced elsewhere. I feel great! I was able to work afterward, which has not been the norm from other places--usually left feeling drained. I LOVE Mantis Massage and will be a return customer! Thank you, thank you, thank you. read more

I wish I could give even more stars!! I am extremely particular about my massages, and Khammi is hands down one of the top two therapists I've been to in Austin (and I have been to a lotttttt). She has the most amazing touch! She knows exactly where to press to relieve pressure and pain and uses the exact right amount of pressure. If you have any amount of tightness or pain in your back, neck, or shoulders, do yourself a favor and book a massage with Khammi ASAP, you will not be disappointed! read more

Julia was awesome and very well versed. Will for sure to make a visit next time I'm due for a massage.

Love this place! The environment was quiet and relaxing. I had Liz for a 30 min deep tissue to work on some tension in my upper back and she was so sweet and welcoming from the minute I got there - the massage itself was incredible. I wish I had had time that day for a longer session! read more

Ella was amazing! I've never in my life received a massage and Mantis was great. I got the 45 min Swedish massage(light of course) and felt so relaxed. Fell in and out of sleep, awoke a few times, but overall feel so much better than when I walked in. I would definitely come back here and ask for Ella! She was tough but the results are worth the pain! read more
