So, first I must say I appreciate that they try and accommodate walk-ins. I needed a massage and my regular provider was a bit far away, I did not want to drive - so stopped in here. My regular massage is $60 an hour- as are most asian massage places - so figured it would be the same or close to it. Well, I should have checked- as once done - and they had my credit card ( no price list was visable ) - I was told that it was $80 with a credit card surcharge of a buck or 2. I am like " OK...I did not know this" but agreed...fine, right?. Then she turns to me about my tip. Let me say - I am very generous and always leave a 40 or 50 dollar tip for an hour as the massages are relatively cheap for what you get - and they work hard; if it is good it is worth it its how I feel. I was informed that my $40 was not adequate...Umm ..this is a TIP people !!....so at this point I knew I was getting "rolled" - haha - Honesty, I just wanted to leave and not be rifled anymore. So I gave in for another $20 and left. This is sad because they were friendly enough on entry - and the massage was very good. The massause was talented and I would definitely recommend the service. However, I am just not happy about the business practices. I will continue to see my regular lady- even though this place is closer to home. Never again. First off, the massage itself was pretty good. The masseuse had strong hands and appeared to be pretty well trained. What I didn't enjoy, was the constant interruptions. Two phone calls, which she happily took, and five visits to the front door as other people arrived. Obviously very understaffed. Also, this place should've spent a little bit of money on soundproofing. I could hear all sorts of jibber, jabber conversations, which was very offputting. My massage started at 11:15 and even though I paid for an hour, with five interruptions plus the two phone calls. I was out the door by 12:35. That's not an hour. Incredibly welcoming place. My husband's back was hurting so bad I called them immediately to make an appointment but as stated on their door "walk-ins welcome" :)) I thought my husband wanted the 60-minute massage so that's what I booked but on site he decided to only get a 30-minute one. The staff didn't give us any hard time for changing last minute so I am thankful that. Sometimes bringing my husband to places is like bringing a toddler...you need to make a decision for them first just for them to disagree with you later. Jk. They speak Mandarin Chinese so it was easy for us to communicate but just by using English to book an appointment on the phone, you shouldn't experience any problem (happened at other establishments before). Most important of all, the massage eased my husband's back pain. They did not skimp on time nor use lighter strokes because it was towards the end of the day. Don't bring your kids here, don't bring your HUSBAND here unless the goal is you know, a happy ending, for his back pain... I'm giving 3 stars bc I know they are doing GREAT at what they do... My review either helps MEN find this place or helps people stay away- either way I wish to provide transparency for the gullible like me. They shouldn't assume everyone knows what's going on & to be (implied) "rushed" out of your massage (15 mins early) bc you're not 'giving into the experience' or 'relaxed enough'. I usually have a positive experience. My last massage was not. I have a 5 dollar tip because that's all I could afford. The ladies there were appalled and said I need to tip ten. You never ever ask for tips. She's lucky I have her 5 after a sub par massage. This girl is new. I don't know her name. But I think a business should have business wide policies. First, Jane is the first therapist ever who has told me to completely undress. I usually leave underwear on but she insisted I remove it because of the oils. Secondly, I thought that Jane talked too much during the session so I wasn't completely relaxed. And lastly, I also didn't feel that her massage techniques were very relaxing. Some of the strokes felt good but many were amateur like simply squeezing my legs and arms. Massage is not an easy job and Jame is sincere, but I have been to better places where I left feeling completely revived, not the case here. It is warmly decorated, exceptionally clean and calming. I had Jane and she is amazing. Her technique is perfect and she checks in with you to make sure the pressure is right for you. They offer different types of massage and reflexology and it sounds like Jane has some plans for expanding into some cool therapies in the future. Seriously amazing. This is my third time here and the massage I just had was the best of my life. I have a toddler, stressful job, poor posture, etc. and now every last ache or knot is gone. My massage was done by Niela (spelling?) and was a combo Thai (they have ceiling bars), deep tissue, stretching, cupping, swedish, whatever necessary to get what is needed. All three massages were superior, obviously experienced practitioners. I've gotten massages all over the country for about 15 years and this is honestly my favorite. And the price is VERY reasonable and they have package and membership options to get it down below $1 per minute. Clean business, hot towels, good availability, good location. Went in for an hour massage after having a migraine since yesterday. They took me right away. It was awesome. She was able to get most of the tension out of my neck and shoulders, relieving so much of the pain I'd been dealing with. Seems like they also shaved about 5-7 minutes off the 60 minute massage even though we were on time (10 minutes early). We Paid $130 for a couples massage. 5/5 would recommend! My upper traps get really tight a lot and on my way home one day I couldn't handle the pain and NEEDED a massage. Found Jing on Yelp and decided to give it a try since they welcome walk-ins. I went in and asked how much a 30 minute back/shoulder massage would be and she recommended the $45 Thai massage. LET ME TELL YOU. I've never been more satisfied with a massage before. Pam was great. Since I asked for shoulders and back, she spent a very long time trying to work through the knots on my shoulder. Unlike a lot of other places that kind of move through everything, I could tell she knew what she was doing and knew where I needed the most work. I only thought she was going to work my upper body but then she moved on to my legs and got on the table. This women started walking on my legs, back, and arms! IT WAS GREAT. I could hear she was holding onto bars on the ceiling so it made me feel less worried of her putting too much weight or completely falling on me. But wow that was a surprise and then at the end she had me hold onto her arms as she arched my back up off the table which also felt really good. Tl;dr - if you like hard, deep tissue massages I would highly recommend Pam for the Thai massage! Lots of good long strokes, some stretching, and back walking! I will definitely be back. read more

I have been going to Jing Massage for a couple of years now, and realized I should write a review. Jing Massage is like that "secret" hole-in-the-wall restaurant you keep passing by: It does not look like much, uses disposable silverware, and is never very crowded. You have never even thought twice about it. Then, one day at your friend's urging, you go in, order lunch, and are amazed at how delicious it is. You are also pleasantly surprised to discover how little the meal has set you back. You will definitely be going back! Jing is like that restaurant, only for massage. I have been very happy with Jing Massage and keep going back, which is perhaps the best recommendation I can give. Still, I will share details to help you all make your own decisions. The Good: * I almost always get a great massage. * I really like their massage style. Many of the therapists do back walking (either ashiatsu or "knee walking") and incorporate a fair amount of passive stretching. * Availability is good. I can often get an appointment with only an hour notice. * Pricing is very competitive, even before the specials they often run. * Jing, the owner, is friendly, warm, and great to deal with. The Bad: * Turnover among therapists is high. This is not usually a problem per se, as most of the people Jing gets are very good, but it does lead to inconsistency. On more than one occasion I have asked for somebody I really liked only to find out she did not work there anymore. * With a couple of therapists, language has made communication difficult Given that I am often seeing a therapist for the first time, this can be a challenge. * The venue itself is pretty bare bones. It is sufficient, but definitely not the "spa experience," if that is what you are looking for. (Of course the spa experience usually costs a lot more.) * Their on-line booking system does not work (or at least did not the last time I tried.) You need to either call or walk in. I confirmed this when I spoke with Jing in person. As I said, Jing is the massage version of that great little hole-in-the-wall restaurant. You get a great massage at a reasonable price, and you will want to keep going back. read more
