I feel like the lady masseuse was mainly pressing on my pressure points and not focusing on my muscles at all. I didn't feel relieved at all after leaving and felt as sore leaving as I was upon entering. I booked an 80 minute massage with Elizabeth through Groupon, I had no issues with the appointment, they took me in promptly at 12. I have shoulder issues so I explained that to Elizabeth and she really focused on working out that shoulder- it was total and pure bliss. The massage was so amazing I half fell asleep on the table! The location is on the outskirts of Austin, which was a bit of a drive, but ultimately it was very worth it. I love the small feel of the place. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! I booked them through a third party app, same day appointment. They called after booking and asked if I could switch to massage therapist Dillon. I said sure. I got there, Dillion asked me my problem areas, I told him, he asked if he could use this "tool" to apply pressure, as he said he does more of a sports massage, Iam like sure I've never had that before. In the mid of the massage I tell him I don't like the tool, it's very uncomfortable I can do it anymore, he stopped but told me this is how he does things. Not only was the tool uncomfortable, the "massage" itself was terrible. I've never had a massage experience like this before, Iam so upset after my massage because I don't feel relaxed or less tense at all, I didn't get the massage I wanted but he had no problem actually massaging my butt for 5 minutes when I told him my shoulder blades were my main concern. Wich he barely paid any attention to . so I tell the receptionist Iam upset and how bad it was and she offers me a free massage tommrow with the owner ELIZABETH. Elizabeth takes me in and ask me to tell my side of the story, I tell her, she tells me Dillion said I never said that I was uncomfortable ( Wich I for sure did! I don't wanna feel uncomfortable during a massage that's supposed to be therapeutic) and that the receptionist would never offer someone a feee massage. And that she trusts her employees over me and that I wasn't going to get a free massage to accommodate that I felt WORSE after my massage in the first place. Had a traditional Thai massage with Landon and all I can say is wow. Landon takes the time to understand your individual needs so he can provide the best experience. As someone who has had several back surgeries I am very careful with who I let work on me but instantly felt at ease with him. The traditional Thai massage is the only massage I care to get! It's so methodical, relaxing, and as Landon describes, "grounding." It truly is an experience and relieves stress, tension, and addresses, in my case, soreness and pain. Landon is extremely knowledgeable and has studied his practice and techniques from Thailand and experts in Thailand. Super impressed, and what a kind soul. Wish I could leave more than 5 stars! 3 Stars - My first massage there was with Lockie. She was okay but never once asked me if the pressure was okay. When I jerked away TWICE and asked her to use less pressure because the pressure was hard, she didn't bother to say anything and didn't really change the pressure at all. 5 stars - my 2nd massage with Ugo was great. Unlike Lockie, she was more personable and would asked how things are going etc. she made me felt more at ease and comfortable. I really enjoyed her upbeat and positive energy. 2 stars for the facility and atmosphere. I could be wrong but walking in the reception/common area, there's not a sign to ask customers to silent their phones Or keep their voices down. So if you are getting a massage in a room nearby, you will constantly hear loud chatters and laughter. Just very inconsiderate. read more

I have reported what appears to be deceptive trade activities practiced by ReVital to the Better Business Bureau. The management has not contacted me regarding a refund, although I was assured that someone would... AND the management is further disregarding the BBB's requests. Very gutsy! Poor management is probably at the heart of ReVital's spotty communication to clients, inability to answer phones, disregarding BBB contact, etc. Evidently, ReVital is not a Better Business Bureau member. I recently had a deep tissue massage from Karoline at Austin ReVital Massage. This was only my fourth massage ever. I had shied away from massages because I had never had a good one, until now. Karoline listened to my needs, asking me about any problem areas I had. I told her I had a botched massage recently that led to a rather severe pain in my left shoulder and neck. By the time she was finished, I felt like the muscle was restored and the pain was completely gone. I have already scheduled a follow-up and plan on continuing to see her indefinitely. I can't speak highly enough of Karoline. She is a wonderful masseuse and I would recommend her to all of my friends and family! I bought the two 80 minute swedish massage groupon for my Mother's 76th birthday at approx $100. Very good deal for the time you get. This is not a "salon" with scented oils, aromatherapy, they get straight to business the minute you walk in.The staff is respectful, business oriented. You are in and out, next. Private room, full 80 minutes, they do neck, shoulders, arms, legs..it is not full body, a couple of warm small towels at the end. I used a Groupon and got Kurt as my therapist. Checkin was prompt and not crowded even though it was a Saturday. The receptionist took me to a waiting area, offered me water, and gave me an intake form (one page). There was also another paper that could be used to select optional add-on services. Kurt came in and asked about what kind of massage I wanted and then took me to the room. It smelled good and the sheets were comfy. The massage was great. I got a massage through Groupon and it was just an average massage. I wish I had researched the therapists instead of just relying on what the receptionist said. The massage was def relaxing and I fell asleep for a quarter to a half of it, but I prefer deep tissue and more focus on getting knots out instead of mainly relaxation. I felt like my feet were massaged for 15 minutes which was a waste of time. I had Rodney, and if you want a relaxing massage, he's not bad. After buying a $425 package and scheduling the next available appointment (which I had to wait 3 weeks for) I showed up today to be told I had no appointment and the package was not noted. The appointment time I've been given was not even at a time they are open. I showed my receipt and asked for my money to be refunded because of the lack of customer service and my concern for record-keeping. I was told no, all sales are final. Buyers beware because the owner, Karoline Marks, runs her business in low class, shady ways. WRONG DATE FOR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT I had a scheduled massage with Elizabeth on 8/2. I received a text message in advance notifying me of my appointment on "7/30" and had to call and question their mistake. APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED WITH FEMALE THERAPIST & WHEN I ARRIVED, THEY GAVE ME A MALE THERAPIST When I arrived on 8/2, Elizabeth wasn't there and Joanne, the receptionist, told me that something came up, Elizabeth had to leave and James would be my massage therapist. I was NOT notified of this in advance and I told Joanne that it would have been nice to have known that upfront because some women aren't comfortable getting a massage by a guy. She told me that they really don't have a good system in place for letting people know when things like that happen. How professional is that? "ALL SALES FINAL" NOT COMMUNICATED TO CLIENTS IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM After my massage, I took a good amount of time to decide whether I wanted to purchase a package. Joanne handed me their brochure w/ a list of packages and rates and NOWHERE in the brochure did it say "all sales final." She also did NOT advise me of that. When I checked their website a couple of days later, NOWHERE on their entire website did it say "all sales final." Apparently, they expect their clients to be mind readers because how else are we supposed to know that when they PURPOSELY WITHHOLD that important detail from their clients. I paid $250 for a package and several days later, lost my job. On 8/6, I immediately called them to let them know of the same (via v/m), that I wanted to conserve my money as much as possible and I asked for a refund. No one called me back. On 8/9, I called them again and left another detailed v/m. Karoline Marks finally returned my call and told me that they it's their policy that they don't issue refunds on massage packages and that all sales are final. That was the FIRST TIME that that had been communicated to me - after the fact - and then she told me that maybe this was the Universe's way of telling me to enjoy a massage during this stressful time. I filed a complaint w/ the BBB and again, Karoline, REFUSED to issue me a refund and stood behind her "all sales final" company policy - even though she and her staff DON'T COMMUNICATE that to people upfront. Interestingly enough, Karoline was then quick to add "All Sales Final" to her website and told the BBB that she did that on 8/9, thereby admitting that it wasn't there prior to 8/9. And again, "all sales final" WASN'T LISTED in their brochure that they give to people. The above speaks volumes about the kind of person that Karoline is. The bottom line is that she doesn't care about her clients at all. SHE ONLY CARES ABOUT GETTING THEIR MONEY. Based on my HORRIBLE experience with Karoline, especially as a 2nd time client, how she treated me, her UNDERHANDED ways of doing business and her LACK OF EMPATHY, I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE you from giving this business your money and supporting such a SHODDY, SELF-SERVING operation. Maybe this is the Universe's way of telling her (Karoline) that she needs to change her utterly low-class ways of doing business with people. read more

I usually receive a dainty relaxing massage at other places which are fine, but I got a massage that was educational (as far as the source of pain and strained muscles stemmed from), therapeutic, and was exactly something my body needed for a healthier direction. I purchased a Groupon for a session here. Typically I don't buy massages through Groupon because most offered are Swedish (relaxation) massages. However "nice" and relaxing these are, I like deep tissue massages, where the muscles and connective tissues are really massaged deeply. This can be painful at times, but really working on knots and specific problem areas is very therapeutic. It just feels so good to know those deep hidden tight areas have been loosened up. Karoline did an amazing - amazing - work on me today. It may have been the best massage I've ever had. She worked my entire body, taking a moment to ask about the pressure as she moved to different areas. From my scalp to hands & feet, glutes, back and front, it was a very complete. I left there feeling like my body and mind were much better off than prior to entering. I will be scheduling another appointment soon. Disappointing customer service. The first time I used ReVital, I spent time researching the massage therapists, selecting one of them, and booking an appointment. When I showed up, they had changed my therapist without even bothering to notify me first! Needless to say, I was quite disappointed. When I complained, they didn't seem to care. Their only response was "Groupon lets us do it." After nearly a year had passed, I decided to give them another try and bought and booked a session. Because the session has to be booked within a certain time period, I booked it as early as was convenient for my schedule. Turns out, I was three days shy of a year from my last appointment so they refused to honor the Groupon. If you are going to go, check out Lockie, as she knows what she is doing. But be careful, as Karoline is a pain to deal with and treats customers very poorly. read more

I continued to go since it's hard to find a good massage therapist, but just recently I found out that after only a few months of working there she is also leaving. We spoke a couple of minutes about what I was expecting out of the massage and decided to go for a combination of the Swedish (relaxing) + deep-tissue massage :) I chose to do a full body massage, but you can ask for concentration in problem areas only.
