I hate to say this or leave this review but as a customer who has been coming here for the past 2 years I have to say that I have finally built up the courage to speak the truth about my last transactions with this business.. #1. As long as I have been coming here I have never been offered the free massage after you have paid for ten massages... I have been here over 25 times.. #2. I always get a 70 minute massage or the 90 minute massage both are fullbody massages including feet. Well the breaking news here is that I never get a feet massage or more than 1 minute spent on the feet.. It's part of what I pay for It's not at the masseuse discretion to do it or not. It say 15 minutes would be spent on the feet..I have NEVER gotten that. When I brought to the attention of the staff and the lady who massaged me, all I got was "I'm sorry " #3. No one ever asks you do you have any areas of concern, they just massage your head, arms and your back in which they spend 80% of your time doing. No upper chest massage and you will be lucky if you get someone to massage legs. Like I said I hate to leave this review but when everything in life is getting so expensive,you want to make sure that you're getting your moneys worth.. We want a good massage just like you expect us to tip you when you're at the counter waiting for it.. I think I will put this place on pause for awhile before going back.. The massage was fine but the bedside manner and etiquette needs major work. I really hope the owner reads these reviews and if you are reading this, please reply or message me because I would gladly return if I could trust this would not happen again. To begin, the girls who took us in, made me prepay for the session which is unusual because then I have to think about a tip before the session and do not feel comfortable doing this. Because I was with my boyfriend we were in a room with two massage therapists, they talked to each other the ENTIRE time which is not relaxing at all. On top of it, they talked in another language which makes you think they might be talking about you? And because I don't speak their language I have no way of knowing if they are just talking shit or about their day, either of which is completely unprofessional and does not allow the client to zone out and enjoy the work. Because they talked the whole time, and made me pay before the massage, I was not planning on leaving a tip. (I paid $40 for a 30 minute dry over a cloth massage.) As I was leaving, the girl SOLICITED a tip and acted as if I had to tip her!! I gave each masseuse $5, making my 30 minute massage listening to them yap at each other the entire time $45 each person. I wish I could come back but I don't want to listen to someone having a full blown conversation while I'm getting body work done. read more

I have been going here for close to ten years. 99% of the times I've gone I am extremely satisfied, I think it's a great value. I usually get 90 minutes with the back walking and Lisa is my favorite. They're all good in my experience and safe to say I've probably been there at least 30 times. I'm a male with a muscular body so I like to get a very tough massage and this place really gets me good. I'm not sure my preference of type of massage is best for anyone which is why you need to look at the menu and communicate what you want. Yes there will always be language barriers but don't let that discourage you from communicating your needs. The facility is always clean I have never had any issues with cleanliness. The hot stones is nice. I have lived in austin 20+ years and been to several massage places in town and I will say this is one of my favorites. It's a great value, if you are looking for a super pampered experience with wine and all the crap that comes with $200+ 60 minute massages I'm not sure this is your place. No disrespect to those types of establishments just trying to communicate to the savvy spa people that might scrutinize lighting and sounds and details down to the type of carpet and oils, this isn't like that it's in my opinion more of a functional place that you drop in any time you need. I received the worst massage of my life here. I booked a massage because I was feeling a lot of stress and tension in my back and shoulders and decided I couldn't keep going about my day to day feeling stiff. I was so excited to get my knots out...except my masseuse had no idea what she was doing. I told her about my problem areas, and she proceeded to rub her elbow up and down my back for almost 40 minutes. It's hard to describe exactly how I felt, but when I usually have massages, I can tell the masseuse is performing movements and actions on my back that I wouldn't be able to do on someone else or ask a friend to do on me. They're professionally trained or taught to address areas, but she was giving me a massage that I could've done on someone else. There was absolutely no technique. Just constant up and down motions with her elbow that didn't address a single thing. I didn't say anything because I kept thinking to myself, "Surely this can't be it. Surely, there has to be more eventually." I ended up waiting until my massage was over and she truly had just performed one movement the entire time. Prices are definitely cheap, but I'd rather pay a premium to get a good massage than to come back here. read more

I went here for many years and enjoyed the massages...but during one of my last massages there (to be fair the massage I'm mentioning was 3 years ago) a woman was very rough on my shoulder. I couldn't use my arm correctly for about a month. For the next three years I went from doctor to doctor trying to find out why I started having all of this inflammation and pain on my right side...the worst was the pain in my abdomen and gastrointestinal problems this caused me. After thousands of dollars, an unnecessary surgery, and a lot of suffering, the issues have been traced back to damage to at upper back from this massage. I am not wishing to hurt this establishment's business, but I do want people to be careful with their bodies. If a massage hurts, tell people to stop and to the owner of this business - I feel your massager was having a very terrible day personally and took it out on my body. I do not recommend this place. The gentleman who worked on me did not know what he was doing. I asked several times for him to use less pressure and he didn't make any changes. He was using his elbow on my back, digging deep into my shoulders and had no idea that this didn't feel good. He would ask if I was ok but again didn't adjust the pressure and it was pretty obvious that the pressure was not comfortable. The hot stones were way too hot. They were burning my back. When they finally cooled this part of the massage lasted about 1 minute. Definitely disappointed and I wish they could provide the proper training so someone does not get hurt. read more

Great value, great massage. Called a couple minutes before I arrived to ensure they could get me in, I did a 90 min full body massage + hot stones (thank you :)) - they first had me undress and then sit on a lower massage bed. When he came in he put my feet in a hot bucket of water while he started with the top of my head and shoulders/hands - this felt amazing! Same with the rest of the massage. I felt comfortable and noise wasn't terrible! Rooms are divided almost to the top and it's very much what you'd expect from any place like this. I've been to different massage establishments in different cities from lower value to higher value. Them asking to pay prior service was an immediate red flag. The massage itself was not impressive at all. We did not tip prior when we payed and were instead waiting to pay upon their actual service. As we were walking out, they all 5 gathered and hounded us and stared at how much we were going to tip. I understand tips are important, but if you want a genuine good tip, good customer service and a decent massage should come with it. This was my first time getting a male so I just thought it was because his hands are rough rather than a gentle touch from a women. I was fine with it anyway but at some point it would get wayyyy too rough! The pressure was wayyyyy too hard. I could feel it through my soul. I didnt say anything because some of the stuff he did with that kind if pressure i liked, but when it came to his thumb digging in my back and slowly rising up, it was painful! I have been here twice in the last year and both times I have been very pleased with the massage itself. But I am big on customer service. I am not sure if it's the language barrier or if they just lack in this department but there is definitely room for improvement. A friend and I were getting a massage and the ladies were speaking in their language and laughing. Halfway through the massage I had to ask what was so funny and that we were there to relax. On our way out they demanded tips which I'm pretty sure are optional in many places. Went in Sunday afternoon for a massage. Self and my partner called ahead an hour to make sure they could get us in. Seems like a walk-in would be fine also. Pros: the atmosphere was fine. As expected, you have to hear a bit of the neighbors legs getting slapped and some dude coming in talking SUPER loud as if there is no one else attempting to enjoy their massage. Pro: my massage was great and the man who massaged me was very thorough and methodical with the reflexology WITHOUT hurting me. (Rare in my experience and I prefer it to be stronger than weaker). Pro: affordable. $30 for one hour of the combo: feet, arms and head and legs Cons: the place smelled STRONGLY of cigarette smoke. I could smell the same on the guys hands when he started the massage on my face. The smoke was distracting especially because I really hate the smell of cigarette smoke. Con: my partner said her massage was so weak that she was waiting for it to be over less than half way through. She said the woman massaging her kept yawning. (Understandable because it's really a hard job) but that's a bummer for my gal. I've had some very deep massages and have been to many foot massage places before, but none left me with bruises and rug burns on my back like the one I had today. The rooms are more private than other places and the decor also nicer. The gentleman who did my massage was very nice and worked very hard, even practically standing on my back during the massage. However, my experience was ruined by the fact that the staff all seemed to be sick and were constantly coughing, sneezing, horking, etc. Just gross. I couldn't stop thinking that I was 'relaxing' in a cesspool of germs. My massage guy left the room at least 10 times to blow his nose, and didn't wash his hands after.
