Great place, the staff is friendly and the food is great but please fix your door or add a vestibule it is freezing and the door stays open bringing in all of the cold weather from the intersection and it makes it very difficult to even eat if you're anywhere up to 20 feet from the door and specially the bar. I used to come here out of convenience even though it was consistently very bad. Today I walked in and everything was totally different including the booths, menus and plates with what seems to be an entirely new staff. Based on this meal, whatever happened here has been a huge improvement. My scrambled eggs were silky and well seasoned and the bacon was perfectly crispy. The hash browns were a huge improvement on the old ones, which always had the feel of having sat around for a very long time. They have your traditional breakfasts (pancakes, eggs, waffles, omelets, etc.). I had the waffle which was pretty standard. Nothing amazing nothing bad, just average. I also have coffee and orange juice which was nothing special. Cheap: The main appeal of this location is its price point. Everything is extremely reasonable anywhere and then considering it is NYC, they are cheap. We had coffee, orange juice, and meals with tip and tax for under $32. Quick: The service is quick, efficient, and helpful. The facility is surprisingly big and can seat a lot of people. Pro Tip: Try to get a booth and you can call ahead of takeout. read more

Food - the food was alright nothing special. The flavor wasn't like OMG I gotta come out and get this again. The French toast was ok but flavorless didn't taste the cinnamon, wish they added powdered sugar it would've tasted better. The bacon and eggs were solid tho. The French fries were also solid crispy and hot and soft on the inside when I got them. Service - the service was great I didn't catch my servers name but she had pink hair. She greeted us once we came into the place and felt welcomed. She took our order very quick and got our food very quick. Came back and check on us if we needed anything made sure we had a good time there. Scenery - the place was very clean it looked comfy. Very classic diner vibes with stools if you want to sit alone. A lot of booths to choose from. Price - price was very reasonable you can get a whole meal under $15 that's very cheap especially in NYC. Vast improvement since the ownership change. The chicken fried steak was perfect, the rest of my family's entrees were pretty good as well. Only thing that was sort of mid was the roast beef sandwich. There is very little sauce and it is sort of bland. Turning a low rated business around is a huge task, so I respect the new owners for putting in the work as the location and vibes are great. With a little more work this place could be amazing! Twice a rainy day have I stopped by three decker and left a much happier person on both occasions! This menu is insanely large and difficult to choose from but this far the turkey club and chicken salad triple deckers have been very satisfying. They've got all the diner go-tos and then some, plus basically a full bar. The service is extremely fast and everyone seems to have pride in the goods coming out of the kitchen. A wonderful old school diner in Greenpoint that has a diner menu that is non stop serving traditional breakfast , lunch and dinner with some Greek and Mexican offerings as well. Dig the old fashion interior with plenty of booths , tables and counter seating as well with simple decor to give it a relax feel . Stopped by during breakfast and decided on scrambled egg whites with corn beef hash and dry whole wheat toast with a cappuccino that was made just right .Just trying to look at the whole menu takes some time but I like to keep it simple and order quickly and avoid waiting that long . Plate is big , prices are reasonable and service is top notch as the workers move around quickly tending to the many customers inside .my friend told me to try the lunch menu next time and I think i will as the meat loaf and hot open turkey as always been my go to plate when diner eating . Absolutely would not order from here again mainly because the customer service was so bad. They literally stole my money and lied about delivering food. That's the whole premise of their business. Alright y'all, I love this place. I always come here with my family for brunch just to catch up. Staff super friendly and the food is affordable! I usually have my western omelet with home fries and whole wheat toast. Guys this omelet its bomb! The portions are pretty big so it's defintely something you might be able to share or take some home. Another suggestion for lunch is the #2 Philly cheese steak wrap! I usually get this wrap whole wheat with their house salad with thousand island on the side. The only con is that its a bit greasy but if you don't mind, go right ahead! Upon opening, I realized the pancakes were absolutely BURNED! I called to let them know I spoke to Linda, she insisted the were fine , they were burned. After some hassling Linda agreed to send another order of pancakes now for the grand finale, the delivery person threw the bag of pancakes at me and took off. WHAT TYPE OF SERVICE IS THAT??!!! Cozy little diner in Brooklyn and very busy. If you're coming alone, do not sit and eat on the chair closest to the entry door. You will have people coming and going and standing around you and brushing against you while you eat. I suggest waiting for somebody to leave from the bar. The eggs, sausage and home fries will run you $10.95 but it should be priced at $8.95. The orange juice that they charge you and the little amount they give you is pitiful. I think starting now, I am going to a deli and buying my orange juice and walking into a diner with it. By the time my food was served, I drank all my juice and was stuck with water. I can't order another orange juice because they will most likely charge me again. Overall, the breakfast is your typical breakfast food you find at a diner and mine costed about $17. You can make this all at home for much less but everybody has to eat here I guess because it's an old diner in Brooklyn and social media is telling you to eat here. I also didn't like to pay in front of the waitress with their little portable point of sale (POS) machine in hand. This place is old. The decor is old. The menus are old - they still have the Twin Towers on the, that are ironically faded. The wait staff during lunch hour was older too. I was hesitant to think we would all be in and out within and hour for our lunch break, and rightly so. We were a group of six and we were ushered to sit at a round table in the back, where half was a rounded booth and the other half of us sat on chairs. There were clearly some items on the menu my colleagues warned me not to get because they were that awful, so I stuck to my usual trustworthy western omelette. Everyone else mostly followed my lead, so we were quick to order. Our waitress came over, and she was fast to take our order, but every time she passed our table, she would randomly ask, "you're waiting for the minestrone, right?" Nope - it was split pea. "Three coffees and two teas?" Nope - 4 coffees and 1 tea. She did this several times for several items, even though she wrote everything down! We couldn't tell if it was a joke or what, but it was rather annoying. Finally, our food mostly came, and one of my colleagues had gotten sausage links with her eggs. One sausage rolled off the plate and onto the floor. My colleague had asked for a replacement, and rightly so - not like it was anyone's intentional fault - but how quickly that new sausage supposedly came from the kitchen had us all scratching our heads. Needless to say, my colleague didn't dare eat it. My western omelette was pretty basic and didn't have any real flavor. I doused the home fries in ketchup to help it along, but it was just meh. I was in Greenpoint with a friend and the pizza place I had found online, was tiny and a bit sketchy in person (although probably great pizza, but my friend didn't want to go), so this was nearby so we went. Got a booth and great service. EXTENSIVE menu and super old-school vibe (which I love). We both enjoyed our meals. No complaints. Would recommend if you are in the area and like an old-school diner type place with 50+ things on the menu. Don't expect gourmet.
