We stopped by for dessert after dinner. We figured because we visit the mango mango 7th ave location often, this location would be just as good. It's not the food that's bad, it's the table service...... I walked in with a party total 8 people which includes 4 kids. There was two empty tables that fits 6 people and a table that fits 4. We didnt sit down since the table wasnt cleaned. We stood by the door for about 10 minutes, no one greeted us. There was 3 waiters, place wasnt busy. A waiter finally greeted us and had told us there are 2 parties of 13 and 11 guests ahead of us, the wait time will be approx 1 to 1 1/2 hours. We was about to walk out and overheard the waiter greeting the next party behind us. They were a party of 7 adults, the waiter offered them the table for 6 if they didnt mind squishing. How rude?! I turned around to tell him my party can squish too, he looked at us and asked how party of 8 can fit a 6 person table. I responded by 4 of my party are kids and they complied. They quickly cleaned the two empty tables and we easily fit! Meanwhile another table was leaving and they seated the next party there. ( ok what happened to the other groups ahead of us? ) We didnt get menus for another 10 minutes after seated. I had to get up myself to ask the waiters. Waiter took orders from other tables that was seated after us. Orders started to come, waffles came out second round. Third round was three orders of 3 scoop sundaes, finally served 15 minutes after the order of waffles came out. 3 orders of sundaes, two came out first and forgot to makr the third one. Ridiculous......unorganized. Couldnt wait to leave so we asked for the check. Waiter comes with the check, puts it down on the table and quickly picks it back and runs back to the counter. Apparently she almost gave us someone else's check..... I dont write reviews much, but given the fact I was completely unsatisifed with this kind of service, I gather my whole experience in this review. This mango mango has been around for a long time, to have unexperienced waiters there was shocking. I wished there was a no star review option for the table service. I doubt I will be coming back until waiters get proper training. By the way......we were here little over an hour, the two parties of 13 and 11 guests never showed up. So we couldve left for no reason. Just saying, my impression was the waiters didnt want to serve us at all. They tended to other tables with no issues. We felted unwelcomed. read more

When I arrived, I told the young lady that I called before and repeated what I ordered. After 25 minutes wait, most customers came before and after me were gone. My sister just went to the toilet and after she came back our order was already there! One of my favorite desserts in Bensonhurst... they have Asian style sweets that few places that I know make them, and one of my favorite is the taro ball w herbal jelly. Nice spot with quality Chinese dessert! Would recommend anything with mangos. Not the cheapest, but the extra cost is definitely reflected in the presentation, atmosphere, and ingredient quality. Mango pomelo sago is a winner, but really, anything with mangos is good here. I think the more expensive price point is mostly because they legit cut the mangos and stuff fresh, but whatever their trick is, it definitely taste very fresh. We ordered mango pomelo and black sesame paste with black sesame balls. The mango pomelo was pretty good. The fruit was fresh. Very little sago but overall, it tasted freshly made. My girlfriend liked it. I was disappointed with the black sesame paste. It was smooth but it lacked the taste. There was not much black sesame flavor. It tasted like water - kind of similar to the instant black sesame pastes you get from the grocery store. The sesame balls had real black sesame taste. I wish the tong sui had the same flavoring as the fillings in the balls. Overall, it was pricey for the quality of the tong sui I received. I would come here again if I want sweets. read more

This is honestly one of the best dessert places in the 86st bensonhurst area. Each time I try their iced desserts it reminds me of home. Theres a reason why they're called mango mango: their mangos are to kill for. From their mango pomelo sago to their durian mochi to their red bean and taro ice it's all good. Everything is around $7.00. Its very refreshing even in winter during the freezing new York days, I like it. The inside environment is very aesthetic as well. If you like taking food pictures, they have very nice tables and the atmosphere is nice too. Overall 8/10 dessert spot. Great for something light! read more

TLDR: If you have time to waste and enjoy being treated second-class for ordering take-out instead of sitting in, this is the place for you. Thought I'd give this place a go for the first time since it's been in the neighborhood for some time now. The staff here seems to favor those who choose to sit in since I literally stood in front of the cash register for 15 minutes for someone to take my take-out order. Meanwhile, the staff just stood next to me, walked around me, and just brushed past me the whole time. A woman who was waiting for her order before me had to literally ask the staff if the order that had been sitting on the counter was hers and ready (yes, yes it was & she had been waiting for her order just as long as I had been waiting to put down my order, so who knows how long she was waiting before me). I flagged down one of the 2 staff members to ask if anyone would take my order, and she just simply walked away. Meanwhile, the other staff member, seemed to be busy trying to process multiple table payments, checking the YouTube playlist in the iPad behind him, and correcting a small mistake of processing someone's order for something their kitchen had already warned was sold out earlier in the night. Service could improve, and maybe a little more organization/communication with the waiting customers, so we can at least figure out if they know anyone is waiting to put an order down. I don't even think they even knew I had walked through the door and stood in front of their register, like a ghost or something? I mean, it was 10:30pm; prime-time for late-night snacking. All in all, I enjoyed my evening chilling at the register, with the wonderful staff walking around me the whole time. I didn't order anything, but it's okay, Kulus was just a short drive away, and they had my order ready right as I walked in. They definitely pulled-through. Oh, and.. I know Mango Mango is a chain and this location has been around for at least.. 6 months now. This specific Brooklyn location isn't listed anywhere on the website, so.. what's up with that? When I walked past this new location I realized it was time to try this place out. It comes from a long chain of dessert spots spanning the NYC area. My visit was mediocre and disappointing at best. My order consisted of the mango pomelo and the red bean green tea ice cream sago; I also added the lavender earl gray tea. A thing to note is that there were 4 tables, and there were 3 tea pots being used. The worker tells me there's NO MORE teapots and would I like a to go cup? Since the earl gray lavender is highly recommended I was like sure why not! How do you run out of teapots if you have a whole menu page dedicated to tea? -1 star. My tea came, I picked it up and the lid fell off. The lid was not properly attached to the cup, and the tea was scalding. Additionally the tea was BITTER and tasted horrible. I asked for milk and sugar to try to remedy it. It tasted somewhat drinkable after the milk and sugar was added. Lid still came off though on the new cup (please order new cups or lid so other customers don't burn themselves) -1 star . The mango dessert was alright, it wasn't as cold as I liked, it was a bit warm even -1 star. I'm giving this place 2 stars for the location and because my red bean dessert was actually pretty tasty! I won't be coming back but I'm glad I gave this place a try. I realize I wasn't missing out on much. read more

Honestly, this place is the bomb! Every time I fly to NYC, I have to come here for some desserts. They have the best mango sago sweet soup here. I've never had a bad experience here and this place is booming! The price is definitely on the higher end for a bowl of sweet soup, but one bite into it, you'll know it's worth it! I always order the special mango juice sago and pomelo because I love mango and sago. The pomelo can get a little bitter which I'm fine with since they don't really put a lot. I recently got the snow white with mango juice sago which is pretty much coconut milk with mango sago. I've had mango pancakes here before which is pretty much crepe wrapped with cream and prices of mango inside. Service is really quick here and they're always on top of their game! If I ever live in NYC, I would be coming here everyday cause it's so addicting good! I would highly recommend coming here if you're ever in town and want some authentic Chinese dessert! Not really sure what all the hype is about? I ordered the mango with glutinous rice ball and my rice balls was literally frozen. I went with my friend and his was frozen too. I thought it was maybe because the mango juice or whatever was too cold but i never had this problem anywhere else. I'm not the type to bother the workers for an exchange because it's not their fault, but it was not edible. The portion was smaller than other places I went to and it was $8. I'm so glad that mango mango, open around my neighborhood. My friends and I are the most savage girls for that durian crepe cake and many more. But depending on the season, we went around the winter time. The mangos weren't that good, so I recommend to order other dishes then mango during the winter season. The wait time can be long if the place is busy. But it's worth the wait!!!! I hope the standards stay the same into the future, many places get lazy after a while.
