I've been twice now, and both times the food was really good. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and even with takeout, the food was still hot and delicious when I got home. You know the food is good when you open the container and start eating before you even finish putting everything away. The chow fun was one of my favorites! The duck was juicy, the roasted pork had that nice crispy skin, and the steamed chicken was bomb! Everything was flavorful and cooked really well. No complaints from this auntie. The service was good too, and honestly, I'm just happy to finally have a good Chinese restaurant in Federal Way! Sometimes I want Chinese food, but I do NOT want to drive all the way to Seattle just to satisfy the craving. Gas is expensive, traffic is annoying... we have food at home! The restaurant is on the smaller side, but it's not a big deal. The prices are a little high, but honestly, I feel like they're pretty normal for Chinese food these days. Overall, I'm really glad I finally gave May May Hong Kong a try. Good food, good service, and conveniently close to home. I think overall the food was good. Like I was telling the owner I normally drive to Canada to get Chinese food, or San Fran for dim sum. I'm pretty hard to please. But since I like to support local, I'll bring my friends here another time for lunch. The decor was minimal but nice. From the outside it looked like it was closed, and like it was a home or doctors office. It's right next to a bikini barista. So we missed it the first time. It's a brick building. After waiting a year since it changed Owner's we decided to give it a try. Very much satisfied with the food not much has changed with flavor and quality which is a plus!! However the Hot and Sour soup which I considered the Best anywhere even in China Town was missing the Sesame Oil that made it so Distinctive. The service needs improvement as far as timing goes, the appetizers came a little late and the main dishes started showing up, nothing serious. A BIG add on was the condiments at the table!! Great addition for some dishes. The food was hot and portions were perfect with a little to take home. We will definitely be going back it was a long year since we had excellent American style Chinese food but next time I think I better bring my little bottle of Sesame Oil with me for the Hot And Sour.
