Stopped by here yesterday afternoon for late lunch as I waited for my jeep to be serviced down the street. Upon entering, you are greeted and you can also pick out where to sit. I chose the bar area. I took a look at their menu and boy do they have plenty of Cuban dishes to offer. I went with the "ropa vieja" which is one of the many Cuban popular dishes. While I waited, I was given a basket with salsa and warm toasty bread. Soo good!!! 5/5 The "Ropa Vieja" plate came with lots of shredded beef stewed with onions and peppers in a light tomato sauce, white rice, and small plantains decorating. It was also served with a side of black beans. 5/5 Generous portions served--made to order and a beautiful presentation. I also ordered the red sangria to enjoy with my meal. The red sangria hit the spot since it was such a hot day, perfect way to cool down. I asked for a second glass. They have a small outdoor seating section as well but the vibes were inside. They are a busy establishment and I kept seeing to-go orders being picked up. I was very satisfied by the end and left happy as can be. Must come back again soon and try the croquetas next. Parking lot is quite small but they do have a few spots reserved for them. There is also plenty of street parking.

I have been to over 100 DDD spots and this was top 3. Everything was spectacular, even the white rice was garlicky and fantastic. I got a steak sandwich where the "bread" fried plantains. The Mahi appetizer with special sauce. On top of that the staff was so friendly, quick, accommodating. I felt very welcomed and seen. My girlfriend and out friend absolutely loved it, we all made those noises you cant help make when you eat great food. I cant wait to have the leftovers.

Ordered the Mambo Chicken meal and split it with my husband. Enough for two for a light dinner. Super tasty. Great people working here. Don't let the exterior fool you. It's nice inside!

Highly recommended!! The flan and Mambo foster are delicious The service by Ashley is top notch! Super delicious and authentic Cuban restaurant

Yuca (boiled) Completely covered in burnt onions

My yuca was covered in burnt onions, my maduros were slimy/soggy, my bread was stale. They just continue to show their customers how little they really care... I stopped coming here for years because someone who was working there made my Abuela cry. I decided to give it another shot and was sorely disappointed.

Don't forget the mambo sauce!

This is one of my favorite spots to eat the family that owns the location is always courteous and makes everyone feel at home. Now the food, is beyond good and everything we've cried has been pretty amazing! If you are searching for a more authentic flavorful and unchain like experience, this is your spot!

Chill vibe, came in to have dinner with my Mom. The restaurant is small but welcoming. My mom likes spot. I was pleased with my dish very tasty. The only complaint I have was the black beans they did not taste homemade. I did enjoy the yucca dish & avocado salad. I would return to try other options.

The focus is on fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and healthy food that doesn't have to be boring. Their menu features everything from signature rotisserie chicken to nourishing bowls, hummus, and house-made sauces. Here are some of the items we ordered: *Hummus-Creamy, house-made hummus topped with a fresh Mediterranean mix of chickpeas, tomatoes, cucumber, olives, red onions, and a touch of feta, finished with a drizzle of olive oil and Spanish paprika. It was served with crispy pita chips seasoned with aromatic za'atar. *Quarter White Chicken (Breast + Wing)-Brined and marinated for 48 hours for deep flavor and perfectly juicy tenderness. This is a great option if you're looking for a simple, protein-packed meal. *Gaucho Bowl-Rotisserie chicken, hummus, chimichurri turmeric rice, shirazi salad, sautéed kale, roasted sweet potatoes, roasted corn, crunchy garbanzo beans, avocado, Aleppo pepper, and chimichurri dressing. This bowl had a little bit of everything, with a variety of flavors and textures in one dish. *Sweet Potato Fries One thing to know is that the portions are generous! Everything we ordered added up to a lot of food and the portions were definitely shareable. I ended up taking most of my food home, so you can easily make a meal out of these dishes and still have leftovers for later. There is street parking available, including in residential areas. Make sure to read the posted signs carefully before parking, as restrictions may vary depending on the spot. Overall, I'm glad we finally got to try it. It's a good option if you're looking for fresh, flavorful food with generous portions and a variety of choices.

Very nice people at this location working here…read more It's not an easy job. It's a busy place. They're making a lot of food but the people I dealt with how a big smile super nice attentive and the food was as always great.

Extremely disappointing food AND customer service…read more I ordered a salmon bowl from the Burbank CAVA today and was shocked at the quality when I got home. The salmon was completely inedible--extremely dry, hard, tasteless, and had the texture of something that had been sitting around for hours. I spent approximately $20 on a meal that I ultimately had to throw away. I called the restaurant expecting a simple resolution. Instead, I was met with one of the strangest customer-service experiences I have ever had. The manager, Melanie, initially told me I could come back and have the meal replaced. I explained that I was on my way to work and couldn't come back that day. She then said I needed to give her a specific day and time when I could return. I offered Saturday because I was trying to accommodate her request, only for her to then say that if I couldn't come back that same day, she couldn't replace it and I would have to contact CAVA Support. So let me understand this: CAVA serves me a $20 salmon bowl that is essentially garbage, I throw it away because it's inedible, and then I'm expected to rearrange my schedule around a specific date and time just to get the restaurant to make the situation right? When I expressed my frustration, Melanie repeatedly accused me of yelling at her. I was frustrated, but I was not yelling or threatening her. Instead of de-escalating the situation like a professional manager should, she argued with me and hung up on me twice. I called back a third time to request the general manager's name so I could escalate the matter. She initially refused to provide it and only eventually gave me the name Caesar, saying he would be there tomorrow. The food was unacceptable, but honestly, the way the manager handled the complaint was even worse. A customer should be able to call a restaurant and say, "The food I paid $20 for is inedible," without being argued with, accused of yelling, and hung up on twice. CAVA needs to seriously evaluate the management and customer-service standards at this location. At minimum, this situation warrants formal review and retraining. Customers should not be treated this way when they are simply asking for a legitimate resolution to a problem caused by the restaurant. Food quality: unacceptable. Customer service: unacceptable. Management response: completely unacceptable.

Located right in downtown Burbank, you walk in and order at the counter, you get a number, and they bring the food out to your table when ready. It's very casual, plenty of seating inside and outside. Staff were super friendly and welcoming, which is a huge deal and very rare nowadays. They even had a new happy hour special. Who doesn't love a $3 beer with lunch? As for the food, I was thoroughly impressed! Pastrami melt was amazing! Full of delicious pastrami, melted cheese, and pickles. So delicious! Fries looked like they were actual fresh made fries, not frozen, which was a nice surprise. I could also tell that they make their ranch from scratch. The bbq chicken sandwich was also delicious. Side salad was super fresh. Everything was so delicious! Portions nice; prices fair. I am impressed with Wild Carvery because I could tell that the ingredients are fresh and the quality is high. I also suspect that they make their own pickles? But I'm not sure. If quality and freshness are important to you, I highly recommend checking out Wild Carvery.
