This is one of the best kbbq places in nova. They have a wide variety of meat on the menu and the quality has been pretty good both times I've been here. I would recommend the marinated galbi and the rib eye steak. Of course you also have to get their daechang (large intestine)! They also have free ramen to order at any time . The options include either AYCE or combo options (which give you recommended serving sizes). Definitely will be coming again.

Such a great K-BBQ experience! The meat quality was excellent. But the coolest part was their ramen machine , it cooks the ramen perfectly every single time. The noodles come out with the ideal texture and the broth is hot and flavorful, just like ramen from a korea. Great food, great service, and a really cool concept. I'll definitely be coming back!

I want to start by saying the service was absolutely amazing and that Chad E was a really great server and answered all my questions l, made sure our drinks were full and on top of making sure we had plenty of food. I would highly recommend him as your waiter. We got the Ultimate AYCE and from my understanding everything is fresh and the prime meats are cut to order. They gave us a very big ribeye steak, the beef ribs and galbi were great too. You could just tell the quality of the meat was better here. The marinade is a bit on the sweeter side

I've been to a lot of Korean BBQ places and this is hands down my favorite all you can eat spot. The brisket, pork belly, and soups were all great! This place by far had the most options I've ever seen at an AYCE KBBQ (Even appetizers are fair game). Make sure you come hungry because you will want to try everything!

Their pickled onion and radish are so good! They go so well with the bbq meat, especially the fatty meats

We went there for lunch $29.99/person. The food was great. We ordered beef, pork and chicken and they were all delicious . If you like intestine, recommend pork intestine over beef intestine for lesser fat and same texture. It includes pickled onion and radish - perfect acid to cut into fatty meats whether you eat it with lettuce wrap or with rice. The bean sprout and cold noodle need more seasoning. And I wish there's more options for small appetizers dishes. In terms of drinks, it only included fountain drinks. Wish they had hot tea option for cold days! This place is great for friends and family gatherings. The staff that worked with us was likely new and under training, but the service overall is good.

Came here for dinner with my cousins. We opted for the AYCE option A, which was $39.99/person. We ordered several servings of brisket, thick pork belly, and garlic pork belly. All of the meats tasted fresh. For garlic lovers, definitely try the garlic pork belly. This was really tasty - thick cut pork belly with a garlic puree paste. I was really impressed with the banchan options here. We ordered everything just to try and it was unlimited. My favorite banchans were the spicy beansprouts, pickled radish, corn cheese, spicy rice cake, steamed egg, soybean soup and tofu soup. Super delicious and seasoned welly. All of it complimented the meats and made the meal taste even better. They also offer free ramen, which I did not know until after we finished our meal. The service was great. Our server was super nice and friendly to talk to. She's very attentive and always checked in to refill the banchans or order more meat. Overall, had a great experience and definitely will come back to try more items on the menu. Looking for a new KBBQ spot, come try this place out!

Enjoying our meal at makchang dodook. Everytime we come here our food and service is great. Ronald was our server and he was very attentive and made sure we were always being asked if we needed anything. Highly recommend!

One of the best KBBQ spots I've ever been to! The 'All You Can Eat' option provides the best cuts of beef, delicious sides, and great pairings with Soju. I personally love the beef brisket and spicy chicken! Be sure to pair it with the lettuce leafs, rice, and spicy ramen noodles. The restaurant is sleek and very clean - love the traditional design. The staff is incredibly accommodating and kind making each experience at KBBQ worthwhile. Will be back Makchang Dodook with friends very often!

    Food gone! So good!

Food was amazing!! Daniel was a great server! Would highly recommend! Definitely coming back again!

This is how good it was! All done!

Food was delicious. Service was great. Or server Kyro was super nice and attentive. Will definitely be coming back.

Margad E provided a great customer service! He was very attentive! Highly recommend large intestine on crispy cook level with salt. Shrimp was very flavorful with lemon kick.

I'm thinking that many people who come here know already what they want, because even before we cracked open our menus, the server was immediately at our table expecting us to place our order. When we told her we weren't ready yet, she left, but came back less than a minute later and then stood there waiting for us to place our order. So I ordered the Sullangtang, which is bone broth with brisket and noodles. JP ordered the Yukgaejang, a spicy red broth with veggies and flank steak. We also ordered the fried dumplings. I don't know if the fried dumplings were vegetable or pork, but they were very good, made even better with a delicious dipping sauce. As hoped, banchan was served with our meal, but was just cubes of daikon radish (kkakdugi) and kimchi. The kkakdugi and kimchi were fresh and tasty. Even if the Sullantang recipe is traditional, I was disappointed. The broth was thin and very bland. However, I was able to jazz it up and make it into a pretty good soup by adding spoonfuls of the Yukgaejang broth and the fried dumpling sauce, plus salt and pepper. The Yukgaejang, topped with crispy noodles, was the better of the two soups. It had a lively flavor and as billed on the menu, was indeed spicy. The menu is limited, almost exclusively vegetable and beef dishes, but there is a seafood pancake and whelk (mollusk) dish. No chicken or pork dishes. Overall, our experience was decent and we would certainly consider returning. Shin Chon has plenty of off-street parking.

So the fact that there is a parking lot at Puzukan already is a check for me, but the consistent good food and service is what why I give 5 stars. There are Korean BBQ spots in the area that also offer takeout, but if you're on a short lunch break and on or near Fort Belvoir or Hayfield, this is the one you want. I like their variety of sauces, flavor offerings, and really enjoy their Korean fried chicken nuggets. There have been times when I had to wait a short while for an order I called in, but I attribute that to the time of day (usually lunch rush). This is not just my go-to, it's a favorite for me and my office.

The bulgogi and the pork belly dishes were nicely presented. Here, to be fair, I need to acknowledge a difference in preferences. I thought the seasoning on the bulgogi was just okay and I absolutely didn't like pork belly seasoning. But! JP thought the pork belly was delicious. Okay, on to the elephant in the room. Why only two stars? I'll start with the menu. You order at the cash register. When we went to the counter, there was a paper copy of the menu and all the prices were blacked out. The cashier perkily explained that the prices had changed so that was why prices were blacked out. So why not print a menu with the current prices? And the reality is that even though there are tables in Puzukan, this is completely a take-out restaurant. Though our order was for dine-in, we were served our meal in take-out boxes with plastic silverware. Covid redux? Also, there was no banchan, nor any soy or hot sauce on the table. What cemented two stars for Puzukan was my visit to the restroom. The corridor to the restrooms was cluttered with supplies on shelves sticking out every which way. And then the far restroom...oh that restroom. It was filthy with bodily by-product flung on the wall. But what was the worst was this restroom was filled haphazardly with more restaurant supplies. Lying out in the open were a whisk and other cooking equipment on a shelf next to the toilet. Need I say more?

The atmosphere: The restaurant is spacious, and I like it when the outdoor area is open since it has a shaded setup and a fire pit. Otherwise, there's still plenty of indoor seating. The food: We started with the Korean Fried Chicken in the soy garlic flavor, which was probably my favorite part of the meal. It came out hot and crispy. We also ordered two rolls, the Double Toro Roll and the Double Salmon Roll. Both were drenched in a Japanese dressing or soy-based sauce, which caused them to fall apart almost immediately after picking them up. The flavor was overly sour and salty, making it hard to taste the freshness of the fish. Overall, the balance of flavors felt completely off. We also tried the Spicy Crunchy Tuna Bites, and to our surprise, the only crunchy element was a small part of the outer rice shell. Everything else was chewy and overloaded with mayo, so it wasn't a favorite for us. The service: The service was a bit touch-and-go throughout the meal.
