I was in Lorton for training and had an hour break, I found this place called The Perfect Pita. I was curious and check it out. Parking is limited but manageable. As you walked in, the restaurant/cafe is clean, spacious and comfortable. The menu is posted on the walls behind the counter with photos. I ordered 2 items: 1) Steak and cheese pita 2) White pizza. When both items arrived to the table, the white pizza which I added mushrooms and jalapenos on topped of their ingredients such as garlic, olive oil and mozzarella cheese, looked scrumptious and I can tell ya, that first bite had my taste buds jumping off my palate. The combination of all ingredients along with the cheese, sauce, airy and crispy edges of that crust, that was a perfect bite! It was SO delicious, I wasn't able to just take one bite. The steak and cheese pita, you can tell that each pita is made with pride because you can taste the freshness. They're not your typical pita breads because some are short and some are long depending on what item is selected. The protein in that pita was tender, juicy and delicious. I had excellent service by cashier Ludack, he was friendly, attentive, patient and very knowledgeable. This establishment is a family owned since 1975. If you haven't swing by, you are definitely missing out on this hidden gem. I will definitely will make another visit when I'm in the area to try more items on their menu. read more

Stopped by here for lunch on a beautiful sunny day and wasn't too impressed... My grilled salmon pita was missing seasonings. My salmon was bland and lacked flavor. Salt, pepper, o' bay seasoning...SOMETHING!!! My pita needed them all lol The veggies were fresh & I also ordered their side of veggies with the hummus. After hearing a lady come in after me and hype the hummus the way she did I had to try it lol The hummus was OK...a little too runny for me. Perfect Pita is the place to have a quick, perfect, lunch. It's in an industrial building on Fullerton Road but do not let that deter you. I like their pita sandwich wrap offerings and have tried the Gyro and the Club. A special includes a sandwich, chips, and bottled soda. They also have food to go, like hummus and stuffed grape leaves. Breakfast is served, but I have not tried it. read more

Deliciously messy! I got the veggie hummus pita with gyro meat! I chose the red pepper hummus. It was out in less than 5 minutes and perfect for lunch! Sooo freaking good! I will be going back (Springfield location) The chicken hummus veggie pit with whole wheat pita is also the bomb. I went back and tried the gyro. It was just ok. This restaurant is also has a bakery in the back where the best and freshest pita bread in the DC area is made Take a pack home with some hummus. Ooooh, that's good stuff! This is a very small hole-in-the-wall place in the middle of an industrial park with lots of car repair body shop types of businesses. It's an order at the counter and take it out with you type of eatery - no place to actually sit down and eat. I tried a gyro pita and a side of falafel with hummus. It was all VERY good. The falafel was surprisingly very spicy. I liked it, but I would not bring my wife here (she loves falafel, but she doesn't do spicy stuff). I tried their baklava, too, and it was delicious (sticky, too, but that's to be expected). Service was friendly and helpful in explaining things on the menu to me. Prices were reasonable for the quantity and quality of food and service. I look forward to going back to the Perfect Pita for lunch again. read more

Letter P: This is my favorite lunch spot near my work! It's funny because the first time I tried it, I was searching for pizza on Yelp, and this was one of the best in the area. I tried their pizza, and it was better than average pizza although nothing exceptional. Apparently, the reason it came up on the pizza search was that it used to be a pizza place, but I realized it was a now a pita place! I definitely wanted to go back to try one of the pitas. About two weeks later, I went back a second time and got a pita. It was incredible! I never went back to getting a pizza. I now normally get the Gyro. Sometimes I get the Steak & Chicken or Steak & Cheese. You cannot go wrong here no matter what you get. If you are a hummus fan, which I'm not, Nicole from work says she loves their hummus, and it is her favorite restaurant as well. I've been with a lot of people from work, and everyone I've talked to at least likes this place if not loves it. A lot of times I make my pita a combo for $2.49 more with chips & a drink. They have a good variety of bottled drinks including sodas, Nantucket Nectar, Arizona Ice Teas, Gold Peak Sweet Tea, and much more. I also like the Route 11 potato chips. Often, I won't eat the chips with the meal but will save it for a day I bring my more mediocre lunch. read more

This is my home location of the Perfect Pita. Here's what I like. The pitas. The cheese. Put them together and the awesome cheese pitas! I order like 4 of them at a time...kind of embarrassing for a grown up. If you like grilled cheese, this is a great variation. The pizza is not good, BUT if you get a cheese only pizza with no sauce, it is good. I've had the gyro here. I just really love the pitas and how they engulf the food. When you use bread things are falling all over the place. But with the power of the pita everything remains inside. So for me personally, I like the gyro, BUT I don't know that the typical person would. I'm odd in the fact that I'd rather have 2x the bread and 1/2 the meat on my sandwiches. This place fits my picky eating style well. Anyways. The pitas here are good and they make some of the generic items a little bit better. First of all, the location is inside an old industrial park so have fun with that. It's really nothing more than a deli counter; the inside is about the size of a restroom with zero tables. I used to go to the DC locations for lunch and loved getting the lettuce wraps and salads. I guess here they pre-make everything and what they have showcased in their cooler is all they will make for the day. Okay then. They didn't have their lettuce wraps. They didn't have the med mix. She finally just said all we have left is tubs of hummus and the sampler. I got the sampler. Driest tabouli I have ever tasted and the bean salad was completely bland. What is going on? This is not the Perfect Pita I know and love. I also ordered a chicken pita for later and the pita had about 80% lettuce & tomato, 12% sauce, and 8% chicken. Pita was stale. Probably one of the weakest pitas I have ever had. You're literally better off going to a grocery store deli and getting chicken salad and making your own pita. I found service to be a bit abrupt too, not friendly in the least. Considering the terrible location, subpar quality, and gruff service, this place truly sucks and is dragging down the good name of the company. Reboot! read more

My sandwich is the TCB pita and yes it is taking 'taking care of business'... it really stands for Tomato, chicken, Bacon but you all get the point. I need to get a lil in depth with you people to let you know it is not just a pita, it's toasted with strips of bacon in a large pita with ranch dressing and lots of chicken. I mean you can't go wrong with any of those things. You gotta just suck on a lemon afterwards to make your jaws go back to its proper position because it is just awesome. Great little takeout lunch spot! I'm so glad I found this hidden pita. I have been to the one in Old Town Alexandria a few times and I miss it ever since moving. I shall worry no more! This is nothing but a satisfying, incredible tasting, light, and healthy choice. Also a very cheap lunch if you ex out the drink from your meal. All of the food is very fresh and pitas are just packed full of flavor! They have something for everyone whether you love meat or if you're vegetarian. Well worth the six bucks if you ask me. If you cannot find a place to park, just pull up out front and go in to grab your food. The people at the counter are very friendly and the food is quick. $5.00 minimum credit card policy. I had only been to the one in Old Town Alexandria before last month, happy the food is the same here. I ordered takeout during a non-busy hour and service was very slow. Called ahead and.. whatever. They win me over with food, it was great as usual. I LOVE the pizza here, great hummus and I've tried all of the perfect pitas.
