I'm normally not this harsh, but the chickpeas had little to no flavor. Fortunately, they barely gave me a full portion. The rice was bland and the chicken was a 5/10. The only way to make this meal come to life would be to take a piece of the chicken, add a potato, put them both on a piece of naan, & drown it in the white sauce that they have. The prices were fair. They had a good all day special that included a drink fries and a wrap. The lamb had a ton of flavor. The rice and the spinach was good and the taziki sauce was thick. The nan was homemade but could use a little butter or oil on it. Overall a good experience and will try it again in the future. read more

New restaurant with potential. I happen to come across this restaurant as I was in the mood for middle eastern food. The ambiance is quite minimal as the layout reminds me of the open kitchen layout of chipotle. It was quite disappointing to receive the food that was quite expensive for the area only for the portion to be almost identical to a kids meal. I ordered the afghan naan on the side with the main dish (Quabili Palau) only to find it was stale and not freshly made as stated on the menu. The second side dish of chick peas was the saving grace, it was well made and seasoned. The main dish was the quabili palau which was supposed to have chunks of lamb with heaping portion of rice and spinach. Very disappointed with the bland taste and very small amount of lamb and rice. I understand that they are new and working out the logistics of the operations. They still can turn things around to compete with other middle eastern restaurants in the NoVa area. read more

How have I not reviewed Kabob Station yet! We go here to get our fix whenever we are craving some good kabob/middle eastern fare. I prefer this to yaffa grille (though different concept). I usually get the chicken and veggies or the mixed meats. I REALLY like the chickpea side- delicious! Their sauces are delicious as well. The staff is kind. The one thing that's kind of confusing is when I order there- I get two sides but online - I think you can only get one side? Slightly pricier but decent portion sizes! This is definitely are go-to for quick kabob options. Not vibey- it's more our local eatery place type of atmosphere but it works! read more

I was finally to make a visit which is located in a strip mall with other businesses such as Giant Foods, Starbucks, Jersey Mikes and Squisito Pizza. As you walked in, the small restaurant is clean, limited seating but manageable and you can order two ways: At counter or Kiosk. Once you place your order, they will call you for pick up. Each entrees comes with rice, flat bread and one side. I ordered 5 items: 1) Chicken Breast Kabob (F1); 2) Kofta 3) Mantu 4) Beef Kabob (F15); 5) Side Spinach. Both kabob platters are a good size, with 2 long flat breads and two different sauces. The chicken was tender and juicy but unfortunately the beef was chewy and a little tough. They both had good flavor, the rice was fluffy and for my perfect bite, I build mine with the flat bread which consist of protein, chickpeas, spinach, slice onion and green sauce. The spinach was delicious along with the Kofta which is a grind up meat that's form into a meatball, added with herbs and served in variety of sauces. For this particular dish, it is serve with a tomato base they incorporate with the meatballs well. The mantu looked promising but it was okay. The mantu was wrap in a light dough and stuffed with little meat. The flavors were a little too subtle, layers on top of a garlic yogurt base (chaka) and the filling was bland and garnish with lentils. The kofta had better flavors with well seasoned combination. I also ordered the mango lassi which was thick and heavy. It was tasty but the paper straw made it dried. The cashier Khalil was friendly and knowledgeable. Overall it's a good place to check out. read more

Food is good, service needs a bit more work. Last time I ordered kabob from here the sauces were not included. Not sure if I need to request the sauces, but this was the first time I did not get them. Bread is soooo good! My go-to Kabob place. Highly recommend. Lamb kabob is my favorite. read more

My lover and I needed lunch and this place was nearby. We had the falafel sandwich and shawarma steak. Large portions that are very tasty. Inside isn't very fancy and service is good. I would recommend this place as a good spot for lunch at any time. read more

The place was very neat. When I went there, I realized this was a very small business. Which meant that they poured their hearts out. The bathrooms were very clean, and they are in the far far back, not a biggie tho. The food came in a big dish with freshly cooked kabobs and salads. I really don't like leaving negative reviews, especially for a new business that's just getting started--but unfortunately, my experience left me no choice. As someone of Afghan descent, I have a good sense of what quality rice and kabob should be, and I was genuinely disappointed. I decided to give this place a try after a break, hoping for a comforting meal. Sadly, it missed the mark. The rice was either old or undercooked--it was incredibly hard, almost like biting into small rocks. The chicken kabob was severely overcooked, to the point of being burnt. The shami was rubbery and extremely tough; it took far too many bites just to chew through one piece. By the time I got home and discovered how bad the food was, it was too late in the evening to return it. I really hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements. The community wants to support local spots like this, but the quality has to match the care people are expecting. read more

Went here for lunch today. The kabobs were delicious and fresh vegetables were on there. It was so good I bought two.

To start, I did delivery. I really wanted to like this place. It is local and I love to support local but they came up short. The meat was good, the rice was fine but too much of it. The side was a ridiculously small portion especially for chickpeas (maybe a quarter cup). The bread is chewy. I hope they do well but I will not be ordering from there again. read more

Great spices and flavors in the rice, chicken, and ground beef. Bread was moist and chewy, but chic peas tasted average. Portions were somewhat small for the price. Restaurant is clean, and indoor seating seemed a little tight; but comfortable outdoor seating was available, too. Food was okay. They need to package their vegetable combo better with to go orders as their 3 different veggie dishes just became 1 dish from a 3 minute drive home. Find containers to keep each separate. Our order some items were already cold as the whole order was completed. The lamb was good, sides of veggies not so much flavor. Lastly, they still had their Grand opening flyers that had prices they no longer use. Every entree is $2 more than what is advertised in their flyer. They told me the old prices were their grand opening prices. But yet, they still have a giant grand opening banner above their front Door. Go figure. We had an excellent carry out chicken kabob on pita. Add the fresh lime and sauces and it was delicious.

Although the kabob sandwich was tasty the overall size of the wrap was incredibly underwhelming especially since it cost $17. Additionally I would recommend picking up your food because not all of mine was included when dropped off. read more

Extremely disappointed with many things. I will start by saying it tasted OK. It did not taste bad. Definitely feel like the reviews were misleading. I've ate at many Afghan establishments and this was mediocre at best. We ordered a side of potatoes for one dish - there was literally one small potato. The green chutney is SO watery. The naan was hard and way smaller than any other Afghan kabob places. The Qabli Palau was colored white rice with one meatball on the side. Apparently they didn't have the other beef one that day to order. The portions here are SO small for the price. Beef and chicken combo was a few pieces of each - barely filled up the small takeout box. Save yourself some money and go down the street to Kabob Zone on Old bridge for a way better selection. I work from home and was camping out at the adjacent Starbucks. I ordered the F1, chicken kabob with spinach as a side. Could not be more delighted. Food was fantastic. Chicken fell off my fork it was so tender. The bread was fresh and not too big. The rice was spiced perfectly like a "pulau" style my dad used to make when I was growing up. As far as value for the dollar goes, you cant get much anymore for $15. This is 4 courses all-in. And for a fast-casual, it's likely among the healthier options you will find. We stopped for burgers at the nearby Five Guys. When we saw the sign and balloons announcing the grand opening of Kabob Station we changed our minds and decided to give it a try. It was AWESOME! We shared a combo skewer with lamb, chicken, and ground beef. The meat was extraordinarily tender and the seasonings were delightful. Rice, bread, and veggies were very enjoyable.
