BLUF: Delicious food but some service and cleanliness issues My family used to go hear a lot before covid. It's the first time I've been back since covid began. They renovated the place and it's not as run down as it once was, although it's still pretty dark inside. I went with a group of five other people for dinner. First, the food. Everyone was very pleased with their food. We are also given a nice basket of naan bread and a salad for the table to share. Overall everyone's comment on their food range from very good to delicious. What are the downsides? Well, they have an earn of hot tea available for anyone to get some while they're waiting for their meal. The tea is actually very tasty. Which all sounds good right? The problem is out of the six of us two of us picked up cups that were there for us to use and found lipstick stains on them. Clearly they hadn't been cleaned. Kind of off-putting The other aspect was the service. Two of us had to ask for water glasses because they weren't on the table even though the table was supposedly set for six. Also service was slow, and the food came out for one person then I'll wait, then I'll wait for the next person and so on. Having said all of that I think they only had one server working that evening. He was clearly working very hard and trying to please everybody, but they needed at least one more worker out there to give proper service. Qabali Palaui

Randomly stopped by and was pleasantly surprised. This place is spacious and very clean. The server was super friendly. But, on to the most important thing, the food. The deluxe kebab was amazing. Four pieces of chicken, four lamb and one beef kebab. The beef was very creamy. The chicken was moist. The lamb was rich with flavor. They give you plenty of chutneys, some creamy and some spicy so i love the variety. Unless you are hungry, the deluxe kebab is sharable. Definitely coming to try more.

I have called in and carried out food from here numerous times in the past. Decided to eat in for a quick dinner with friends, and found out there are new owners. The place has definitely been renovated and looks way cleaner and nicer from before. It was not too busy, and there was only one server. The menu is slightly different, but the food is still pretty good.

Ginger tea ! Very good !

Great service ! Great food ! I ordered chicken and lamb and it was amazing. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family .

The food is delicious as always. Folks are friendly and know their returning customers. They knew my drink order and menu order when we first arrived. Ambiance is casual. Changes are coming to the menu and decorations. New menu items will be added. Coming back soon.

I went here with a group friends back in March. I actually been coming here with my parents for a number of years, however this was my first time back in awhile and they had done some major redesign to the overall restaurant which looks very nice. I have also heard they are continuing to redesign the place as there is decorative lights that have been added. I should emphasize that these photos were taken in March of 2023 so the new additions of light are not included yet. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I hope people continue to support this business.

This place is pretty good. I think I'll try the beef kabobs on my next go around. The fish kabob dinner was tasty and the portions are good. I love the extra sauces they provided me with too. Nice place.

First time customer here, and I ordered on the phone for takeout. Order was ready for pickup in 30 minutes. Items in takeout bags were accurate with disposable utensil packets. I was not impressed with the flavors of some of the kabobs that we ordered. Chicken and lamb meats were a little dry and not very tasty. Shami was good. Meat and rice portions were smaller than expected and presentation in a takeout box was not impressive (but, hey, it's takeout box). The naan bread was generous and huge - some parts were thick and chewy while other parts were dry and crispy thin. The veggies were fresh and crispy, although very small portions. Chick peas were good and peppery.

    Nan bread.

Marib is a Yemeni restaurant located in a strip of restaurants and grocery stores originating from different parts of the world. Marib knows how to do their lambs. Ordered the hummus with lamb and it came with a crisp yet fluffy bread. Then ordered a Lamb Haneeth and let me tell you NOT ONLY the lamb is tender but the rice is so flavorful! I come here quite regularly and will keep on doing that. Umar approved. 4.5/5

This was my first experience at a Yemeni restaurant, and it turned out to be an incredibly pleasant and flavorful introduction. We were served half a lamb, head included, laid beautifully on a large platter of rice. But first, the restaurant itself. It was refreshing to see a place that uses real cutlery, proper plates, and actual tablecloths. I much prefer tables and chairs over booths, which often give off a fast-food chain vibe. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, though there was some drilling and repair work going on--likely related to safety or exit signage--so that's understandable. Now to the food. The rice was fluffy and deeply infused with flavor from the lamb, clearly absorbing the richness of the long, slow cooking process. The broth had rippled into the rice, creating an incredible depth of taste. If you've had biryani, this was somewhat similar, but with its own distinct character. The lamb itself was exceptionally tender--falling off the bone and melting in the mouth. For anyone who usually avoids lamb due to its strong aroma, this dish is a must-try; there was no overpowering "lamb smell" at all. The meal was accompanied by a fresh salad and two side sauces--one tomato-based and another green sauce that was extremely spicy, so proceed with caution. The mint lemonade deserves a special mention: easily the best I've had. Not overly sweet, clearly made from fresh ingredients, and perfectly balanced. We ended the meal with tea and a warm dessert that was buttery, comforting, and topped with cream--an excellent finale. This was a completely new culinary experience for me, and I left the restaurant feeling like my palate had leveled up. Highly recommended--definitely a place worth checking out

I first tried the assorted kebabs. Unfortunately, the chicken had dried out and the kofta felt too crumbly. The chicken rice dish had quite aromatic rice but underseasoned chicken; seasoned rice alone can't substitute bland chicken drumsticks. The lamb rice dish had both aromatic rice and juicy, well seasoned lamb. I ended up combining the lamb pieces with the chicken rice. Out of curiosity, I tried a piece of their fried chicken. It proved juicy and not too oily. It would do well as a standalone appetizer in most restaurants. I also tried something that looked like lasagna, but without tomato. It tasted, to my uncultured palate, like a lasagna with some sort of cream or bechamel-like sauce. I quite enjoyed it. For dessert, my friend convinced me to try what I had initially passed over as oatmeal or tapioca pudding. The Omi Ali proved quite delectable, like a cross between bread pudding and oatmeal but with more nuanced spices and sweetness. I added it to my short list of desserts I enjoy, since I don't have much of a sweet tooth. Overall, I appreciated the breath and variety. Some hits and misses are to be expected at a homely, ethnic neighborhood style buffet.
