Happened to be in the area and decided to drop in after seeing some tasty images of their bowls! The service was very helpful and even gave me a sample of their chicken when I asked about the flavor. I opted for the combo rice bowl with lamb and chicken sprinkled with the hot and white sauces. They were running a special portions were hefty and the taste hit the spot. Seating could be limited, but they do have an outdoor seating option for those nicer weather days and nights. Will definitely be back again. Enjoy!

We went here last night for dinner and dessert. The employees were so nice and really loaded our chicken bowl! Everything was do fresh and tasty! They even gave us free drinks with the food, which was so nice! I had the strawberry and Nutella crepe and it was very yummy! We will come back again soon for more halal and crepes! Their prices are also very reasonable!

The food here is okay but I don't think I would get it again. I ordered the combo rice platter, and it was a good portion size. I liked how it had a lot of sauce on it, and I thought the gyro meat was good, albeit a little salty. The chicken was not very good though. It kinda had a weird taste and wasn't super flavorful. I liked the sauces but it could've used a green sauce, but apparently they don't have that. The bowl was just super creamy and it needed something acidic.

This spot caught me off guard. It's not a new concept, & I've had this kind of Mediterranean food all my life!! This spot HIT different!! Let's GO!! . Where I am: @bitezdmv . The chicken was red, but not spicy, the gyro meat was super tender, & blended well with the sauce!! STAMP!! I have some mixed reviews because I didn't have the best Uber eats experience and similar to a previous reviewer, their chicken made me a bit sick. Ordering was easy and their menu is pretty straightforward but again my delivery driver didn't do the best job. He didn't actually change his arrival status and attempted to call me but I had no signal for the call to go through. Would only re-order if I was craving something sweet like a crepe.

Overall, pretty good place. They give you alot of meat which is a plus. The reason why I am giving this three stars is because I thought it was TOO flavorful. Normally, flavor is good but I think there was a lack of balance. The marinated meat dominated the dish and I wish it was toned down a bit. I also felt like the white sauce didn't have that much flavor to it and didn't really add to the dish. Also, I ordered the fruity pebbles crepe and it was dry. It was literally just cereal in a crepe and banana. Wish it came with some sauce. Skip the fruity pebbles crepes.

Let me start by saying the food here is tasteless and disgusting. Not only that but even their staff are some disgusting human beings that I have ever seen. On January 9th my sister and I came here for crepes and there was a Indian guy at the register typing our order and was smirking, upon looking at our receipt (attached in this review) he called my sister a b****. Is this the type of employees yall wanna hire? Is this the treatment yall love to give to your customers? Absolutely disgraceful. There are many platter places in the DMV and are 10x better with quality of food and they definitely do not call their customers any sort of names as this person did.

Food is not bad, tasty, some of the crew don't speak English well, so sometimes it's hard to understand them or them understanding us!

The food here definitely hits the spot. One of the best kabob spots and even better, the food is reasonably priced. Feel like it normally costs an arm and a leg for kabob, but not here. Everything is so delicious here, the portions are great, especially the portion size for meat. The only thing I wish is the salads had more salad, but other than that, delicious!

Annandale has been surprising me every time by how many new places are opening around here. I went here on a whim after an event around 3 AM. Your options are really limited unless you want to make a trek to the nearest breakfast joint or go down the street to a open Korean restaurant but sometimes you just want to grab something quick and go. Bitez has been teasing me all over Instagram with how pleasing their rice platters and crepes are. For 12 bucks, I don't think I could really complain. You get a hefty amount of food packed, especially if you get the combo platter consisting of Chicken, Gyro Meat, Rice, Cucumbers and Salad.. you really can't go wrong. Topped with either white, red spicy or Bitez's own sauce you can pick to however you like. This place can get packed if you go here early evening, but when I was there it wasn't too bad. Not really a line at all ( yeah it's 3 AM ) and honestly even if there was a line, it would have went quick. Do I think this is better than other Halal places that serve the same rice platter? I don't think so. But if there is one advantage that this place has over the rest, it's closer to me and I'd probably gravitate going here more as a result. I don't really recommend dining in as it's small and there are not many tables to sit down at. Although there are seats outside, depending on the weather people are just going to either sit inside or take it home to go. Cheap food, great prices, friendly staff, can't recommend enough!

The Patriot Burger with double meat tastes like a love child between a hot and fresh In-N-Out burger and a Big Mac. I just finished one and I'm still salivating. The Chopped Cheese: 7/10. They messed up a previous order of this by adding jalapeños to both sandwiches instead of just one and it was too spicy for me. The fries: 8/10. They get cold quickly, but they taste similar to fries from Burger King. They're good and they came with organic ketchup, which I appreciated.

As for the food, I think it's a pretty decent afghan style kebab for the price and most of the food portions (except the sauce sides which are tiny, really skimping on them). My husband really likes the grilled lamb and chicken here, so that's why we order from this restaurant, as well the bread and rice. I've had afghani bread several times, I must say this one really competes with places like Lapis and Afghan Bistro McLean, it's truly impressive! I had the tilapia kebab, needed a little bit of salt but that issue was solved when I drizzled with the green sauce! The fish was cooked nicely, the "fishy/sandy" taste that usually tilapia has, was avoided!!!! Props to them! The rice was good as for the chickpeas (that we both ordered) these are a little bit too oily for my liking, but the spices on them were good. The side salad was kind of sad to see, not going to lie, afghani salads usually will be topped with chopped parsley and thinly sliced red onions, but I guess they put the onions on top the kebab so they want to skip them. Even though the restaurant is small and probably has 5 tables total, it's not the prettiest for a sit down restaurant, the purpose is more for a takeout situation which isvery convenient for us, since we live pretty close by, so we might be coming back.

The Reaper slider, however, was intensely spicy-none of us, including my husband and kids, could handle it, living up to its Carolina Reaper reputation. Despite that one extreme option, the overall quality and variety made it a hit, and we'll return for the milder choices and sides. It was super hot July 2025, and I was fresh post-op in compression from chest to feet. I refused to be out in that heat without extra air, so we had stopped at Best Buy to grab a window unit and that's how we ended up trying Flavor Hive. We noticed the truck across the street. Best decision ever! We got bowls loaded with steak, chicken, and lamb and it was just flavor overload in the best way. We' ve also tried the pita pockets, Quesadilla, Loaded fries, and even did the "bring your own chips" Walking taco bag option where they load them up with meats and topping SO good!! From that moment, we were hooked. This was our second time visiting their storefront (first time was during their soft opening), and you can really see how much they've elevated the space. Now there's a whole café side with its own entrance with beautiful club chairs, tables for four, and plenty of outlets if you want to sit, work, and sip your coffee. Then there's the main Flavor Hive food side. I love that you can grab coffee from either side too. For our April 2026 visit, we noticed lamb is no longer on the menu (and it's not at the food trucks anymore either, I asked!), but they've added a hot honey chicken and it is DELICIOUS. Not too spicy. I built a bowl with hot honey chicken and steak, light rice, fresh veggies and lettuce, and white sauce. They also have a new Hive sauce, which tasted like a smoky sauce with a little Thousand Island vibe also good. I got it on the side this time, but next time I'm definitely having them add it right onto my bowl. The fresh drinks are also a hit I went with strawberry watermelon and it was super refreshing. Great taste. Ginger pear is also really good. If you haven't been yet, whether you catch the food truck or visit the storefront, just know you're in for some of the most flavorful chicken (and steak) rice bowls you're going to find. This place does NOT miss.

This was my first experience at a Yemeni restaurant, and it turned out to be an incredibly pleasant and flavorful introduction. We were served half a lamb, head included, laid beautifully on a large platter of rice. But first, the restaurant itself. It was refreshing to see a place that uses real cutlery, proper plates, and actual tablecloths. I much prefer tables and chairs over booths, which often give off a fast-food chain vibe. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, though there was some drilling and repair work going on--likely related to safety or exit signage--so that's understandable. Now to the food. The rice was fluffy and deeply infused with flavor from the lamb, clearly absorbing the richness of the long, slow cooking process. The broth had rippled into the rice, creating an incredible depth of taste. If you've had biryani, this was somewhat similar, but with its own distinct character. The lamb itself was exceptionally tender--falling off the bone and melting in the mouth. For anyone who usually avoids lamb due to its strong aroma, this dish is a must-try; there was no overpowering "lamb smell" at all. The meal was accompanied by a fresh salad and two side sauces--one tomato-based and another green sauce that was extremely spicy, so proceed with caution. The mint lemonade deserves a special mention: easily the best I've had. Not overly sweet, clearly made from fresh ingredients, and perfectly balanced. We ended the meal with tea and a warm dessert that was buttery, comforting, and topped with cream--an excellent finale. This was a completely new culinary experience for me, and I left the restaurant feeling like my palate had leveled up. Highly recommended--definitely a place worth checking out
