a plate of food on a table

This place sticks to the basics, but it does them really well. Kebab places tend to blend together. It's nothing but grilled meat, bread, chickpeas and veggies after all! If you visit enough places, it's hard to distinguish them. But I think the beef here was somehow juicer or fattier - in a good way. I could taste the difference. The price point of the main dishes are decent, and the location isn't fancy but doesn't need to be. Just good old fashioned grilled kebab.

Sitting area - The image shows the interior of a casual dining restaurant with yellow-painted walls and a tiled floor. Several wooden chairs and tables are arranged throughout the space, with some tables occupied by customers. The ceiling has rectangular fluorescent lights and hanging pendant lights. Large windows with blinds are visible at the back, and customers are seated, eating, and talking. The setting appears to be in the evening or night.

This a pretty famous Kabbob house in Springfield, VA area, so we decided to try it out. We were party of 10 and we all ordered different food. We all agreed on that Bone In chicken, Chapli Kabbob, Beef Kobida were really good. munto was good but not excellent.

Its a lot better in real life...

Phenomenal. And I don't throw that term loosely around here. This was probably the best Middle Eastern food I've had since I visited Israel. The prices are fair, and the meat is excellent. A little skimpy on the portions, but they do it just about perfectly. I came here for lunch as I've lately been on a Persian/Afghan binge since my experience at Shamshiri. I ordered the Khubideh, with lamb, side of chickpeas. With it comes Afghan bread and rice and a salad. It all was worth the $12. The chickpeas alone are terrific. I could eat these things all day. Perfect spice and texture. The lamb was good, nicely seasoned, but it was not overcooked. The Khubideh was also really good. This place does it much better than Moby Dick for almost the exact same price. The rice was terrific. Nice spice and not too buttery. Also it was just the right amount of rice. While the salad was okay, the bread, along with the yogurt sauce and green chili paste, were really good. Don't let them go to waste. One more thing. When I walked out of the restaurant, an employee tracked me down as I had forgotten my bottle of water. That's amazing customer service. How many restaurants ever do that? Go here over Moby Dick. You won't be disappointed.

Pulled the hair from the spinach! - The image depicts a white foam food container with a textured surface, resting on a speckled countertop. A single hair is visible on the edge of the container, near the corner. The container appears to be empty or holding food that is not visible in the image. The focus is on the container and the hair, with no other objects present.

Loved this place until today! I've been going there for about 2 years. Today I ordered a salmon kabob entree with spinach and I just pulled this hair out of my spinach! Yuck!!!

I come here every time I come home for a visit. Steak Kabob and the white sauce is to die for. I put it on everything. Bring your appetite because it's a lot of food. The rice is tasty and they can cook the steak to your preferred temperature. Plenty of indoor seating and can accommodate large groups. The potatoes have a mild kick to them and I have never eaten the chick peas. Parking can be a pain because of where it is located in the strip mall. All in all, it's definitely worth going to.

This place has always been a go to for me. They have such quick take out which is great, I called my order in and it was ready in 10mins. They're super accommodating and the food is always so tasteful. I've had good and bad kabobs but every time I've ordered from this place the food is delicious and so full of flavor! One of my favorite kabob places in the area.

Chicken kabob AKA the number 2 with chickpeas.

The Veggie Aushak is exceptional. Many subtle flavors. Falafel sandwich is better the the Falafel Guys down the street.

Craving lamb. Submitted my order via their website. Arrived at the restaurant and we were greeted…read moreas we walked in. The restaurant's decor is culturally appropriate. We arrived early evening and they had a candle and tablecloth on each table. I ordered Baadenjaan Bouranee, luscious eggplant dish; Frenched Rack Of Lamb, perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful; and Pumpkin Dumpling Entree, perfectly sweet, smooth interior and perfectly steamed dumpling wrapper. I will continue to support this establishment.

When we walked in, we were greeted very nicely and sat quickly. Our server was new and it was her first day so she couldn't really give any recommendations which wasn't the best, but the manager came out and was able to help with describing some of the dishes and giving great recommendations. Most of the people that we ate with ended up with some type of lamb dish and the lamb was phenomenal. The rice was delicious. The eggplant was delicious. We got a bunch of appetizers. Everything was on point. Everything tasted super fresh and overall we had a very nice experience. The food also came out very quickly. The overall ambience was very nice very home type vibe and it is a smaller restaurant for limited tables One of our friends that we went with since we haven't seen each other for a long time was really craving a beer and kebabs which sometimes a little bit harder than one would anticipate but they served alcohol as well as delicious food so win-win here. So overall, I would highly recommend this place if you want delicious Afghan food, but of course remember to book in advance .

I found myself near Bradlick shopping plaza Quite a few…read morefood choices I was craving lamb, so I found this place and decided. To try their pulao Placed an order online and by the time i walked through the parking lot it was ready The lamb stew came with a side of spinach and basmati saffron rice I was pleasantly surprised, although a bit greasy food was very flavorful and the employee was very friendly Will definitely visit again

My review is mainly for the take out service and the food quality which it could've be a 4 star…read moreexperience, if it wasn't because we got there and they didn't receive the order (so we had to wait an extra 20 min for them to prepare it) as well they forgot our side of bread that we pay ($6 for an extra bread) as well we pay for extra white sauce, all we were given was 4 little containers (which is pretty sad to think about). As for the food, I think it's a pretty decent afghan style kebab for the price and most of the food portions (except the sauce sides which are tiny, really skimping on them). My husband really likes the grilled lamb and chicken here, so that's why we order from this restaurant, as well the bread and rice. I've had afghani bread several times, I must say this one really competes with places like Lapis and Afghan Bistro McLean, it's truly impressive! I had the tilapia kebab, needed a little bit of salt but that issue was solved when I drizzled with the green sauce! The fish was cooked nicely, the "fishy/sandy" taste that usually tilapia has, was avoided!!!! Props to them! The rice was good as for the chickpeas (that we both ordered) these are a little bit too oily for my liking, but the spices on them were good. The side salad was kind of sad to see, not going to lie, afghani salads usually will be topped with chopped parsley and thinly sliced red onions, but I guess they put the onions on top the kebab so they want to skip them. Even though the restaurant is small and probably has 5 tables total, it's not the prettiest for a sit down restaurant, the purpose is more for a takeout situation which isvery convenient for us, since we live pretty close by, so we might be coming back.
