This is the go-to kabob place for my family and I. Usually we get take out which is equally as good but it doesn't do the bread justice. Sometimes we dine in and that's when we get the best experience. Since we come pretty often, we've gotten to know the people that work there and we found out that they are a family owned business. They are a nice family and give us great service whenever we come. The food is really good. I've had kabobs at other places and they always skimp out on the meat and the flavoring but they do it right here. Well, also note that they serve Afghan style kabob as I know there are many variations. Anyways, I always used to get the chicken with bone in. It's so juicy and flavorful. It goes really well with any side you order. Sometimes I also get the fish which I think is tilapia and I think it is herb crusted because the crunchyness is a nice touch and adds so much flavor. Sometimes when I want something more meaty I would get the lamb and oh my gosh it's so good. The sides I get and switch up every time are chickpeas and eggplant. The salad that comes with the meal is good with eye green sauce that comes with it. It can be a little spicy but tasty nonetheless. It adds another taste to the meal so you don't get tired of the food. So I mentioned the bread earlier, and they make it fresh right there in the restaurant. So if you eat there, the bread is nice and crunchy and smells amazing. It goes really well with the yogurt sauce. Since we do takeout most of the time, the bread isn't as crisp anymore when you get home. But still very good and goes with the food. The meal isn't too expensive, it's enough to fill you and you may even have leftovers too. They have a really nice tea that is on the side near the register. Self serve and is a nice balance along with the food. Plenty of space to sit since they expanded it. We love coming here and will continue to in the future :) read more

You call and less than 10 minutes later your order is ready. The restaurant is equipped with a traditional Afghan naan bread oven. It's a cheap show to watch the baker cook the bread. A great deal for what you pay for! I got combo 1 and it came with one chicken kabob and one lamb kabob. The meat came on a bed of rice and a side of salad and a choice of side. I got the chic peas. The whole combo came with home made bread all for around $11.00. They had a really tasty yogurt sauce and a yummy spicy green sauce. Their chicken kabob was better than their lamb kabob. The chicken was moist and seasoned perfectly. The lamb was good too! It wasn't as tender as the chicken, but the lamb was still worth a try! Chic peas were tasty too. Ordered a chicken kabob plate and it was good, not great. The chicken was cooked perfectly with a nice spice rub. The rice and garbanzo beans were also OK. Loved the spicy sauce and the great had decent flavor. I think maybe a little overpriced for the meal but otherwise I am glad I checked it out. First to be greeted like I was a long lost family member, the hostess had such a happy smile it just brightened my day. She patiently explained the offerings. I had the super combo,with a chicken and chopped beef kabob, and an order of Mantu Dumplings. The Mantu was five or six packages of very light dough filled with a tasty mix of chopped beef and green onion, covered with a flavorful spicy, not hot, white sauce. This would be a great lunch dish all by itself. My two Kabobs, oh my what flavor, chicken reminded me of tandoori style, moist, tender and full of flavor, the chopped beef had a mild spicy kick, not spicy hot, just enough to wake up my taste buds. it was served with a heaping serving of Jasmine or Basmati rice also full of flavor, grilled onions, tomatoes, green pepper. it also came with a choice of a stewed vegetable, from an assortment of 6 or 8, I chose eggplant. it was in a rich tomato sauce. It was also so tasty that I could see myself eating it alone. Can't forget about the bread, this was not just a naan, this was true Nân-i Afğânī, crisp crust with a warm moist crumb, and big enough to wrap a small child in. All this was accompanied by a tasty white sauce and a spicy hot green sauce. Unbelievable. Come here if you want to wait 30 minutes for your food. After 30 minutes I asked if they had called my order where then the lady at the register asks the guy at the grill if my order has been called. The whole staff looked at each other in confusion and whispered to each other. It was apparent that the people who came in after me took my order because they only waited about 10 minutes compared to my 30. The lady then replies to me and says, "Your order is coming, the grill was full." Really lady!? You can't own up to your mistakes? Instead of admitting that my order was taken by someone else, she makes an excuse and allows me to wait even longer. By then I was fed up and decided to leave without my food. Ive been here a few times since its close to my house.The food here has no Wow factor. This place isnt as good as The Food Corner kabob down the street. I got a chicken special for about 7 dollars. The rice was the only good part of the meal. The chicken chicken tasted like it should of been thrown out but they just keep it until the next customer comes along to buy it. This place has potential. The food is delicious and flavorful, but the portions are on the smaller size. Lamb kabob - chunks of meat are 1.5-2 times smaller than what they should be (what I am used to seeing at other places). Right now, it's a 3.5 stars in my book. I'm Afghan and I swear, Afghans are truly the most amazing hosts, so it's a shock to me and my close-knit Afghan community to see such horrible, rude service to the guests of this restaurant. I cannot believe Flame Kabob' employees (cashier & restaurant family owner) are not required to wear facemasks during Covid-19 pandemic, especially while handling the money and food and standing less than 4 feet away. Good rice, great creamed spinach with saucy chicpeas on top and good bread. The cilantro sauce was very spicy. Make sure you fill your Styrofoam cup before dippin the naan in it. Starters were good - chive dumplings and fried potato pockets that looked like crab rangoon. The people here were great. My girlfriend's Iraqi grandparents swear this is the best place in the world and go every weekend and we all went for their anniversary last weekend. We have been going here for years- my dad's favorite is the ground lamb/lamb chops, my mom's favorite is the chicken, my sister's favorite is the ground beef, and I personally like the chicken sandwich! I have been coming to Flame Kabob for the past four years with my family, and we have never been disappointed. The reasonably-priced food here is wonderful with numerous spicy, tasty choices for everyone. I just love their chicken and salmon kabobs, but you can make a meal from the rice and chick peas alone because they're so good by themselves. The hot bread is great too. I always take an order or two of the kabobs, chick peas, and rice home with me because it's just as good the next day or two. The owners are very nice and always take time to speak with us. They have expanded the restaurant recently which was definitely needed since it gets very busy during peak meal times. I have introduced Flame Kabob to several friends recently, and they too really like the tasty food served here. I only wish the restaurant was closer to me as I live 30 miles away. We love Flame Kabob! It's an unpretentious stripmall joint that has a small eat-in area. Family-owned and food made to order (call in your order on the way, so you won't have to wait too long). They have very reaonable lunch specials which consist of your grilled meat (perfectly seasoned), rice, chick pea &1/2 piece of nan (straight out of the pit/oven/whatever that apparatus is they use to freshly prepare it). The regular portions include a salad and a full piece of nan (so big...never have been able to finish even 1/2)! The baklava is YUM-EE! The owner often has several trays out cooling and has some local fans that come in and buy her out every so often. It's always fresh, and once it's gone - tough luck. No baklava for you. The older lady is always very rude and gets irate every time you ask for extra white sauce, I also walked in once when she was Screaming at one of the workers. Not in an acceptable or humane way.
