Bowl with Pita (12.99) Mint Lemonade (3.99)
    Monica S.

(+) clean (-) pricey for what was given, food didn't agree with me Yafa Grille is located in Liberty Center in Lorton across from the Lidl. Plenty of parking in the shared public lot. It seemed to be the most popular choice on the particular Sunday I went, The guy who helped me make my bowl was very kind and explained what things were. The guy who was ringing me up- didn't acknowledge me and the guy making my bowl had to tell him multiple times what bowl I got. When I went back to ask for the bathroom and a lid for my bowl- I had to wait as he was looking down at his phone and then starting a discussion with his colleague before acknowledging me- when he clearly saw I was there. I got the Chicken Shawarma Bowl with Pita for $12.99, I asked for a drink and it was $3.99 ending up at $18 for a meal. A little pricey for the quantity- also the meal didn't agree with me and my stomach was suffering for the next couple of days. A bit of a different concept than kabob station down the road- but will probably choose kabob station over yafa.

Mediterranean style chipotle! Lots of fresh options and lots to choose from gyro, shawarma, shrimp, to fresh kabob made to order. I had the gyro and shawarma and both were delicious paired with the eggplant, cauliflower, hummus, and baba ghanoush. Definitely recommend trying! Worth the drive!

I was looking for someplace to stop on my drive back to Richmond from Baltimore. When this popped up on Yelp, I decided to give it a try. I told the man behind the counter that this was my first time here and he walked me through all the options to add to my bowl. It was a bit frustrating that for a number of items I chose, he only added about a half a spoonful to my bowl. I ended up with a bowl of ingredients that were not even as tall as the paper bowl they were served in. As I ate, I watched a man order a bowl and it was overflowing with ingredients. The flavors were good, but I wasn't able to really taste everything I added to my bowl because the amounts were so small. The bowl itself wasn't all that big, so I left feeling hungry. This is kind of the same idea as Mezeh in Richmond, but at Mezeh, they give you a generous serving for a lower price. I don't think I'd go back to this place if I were ever in the area.

Gyro bowl with all the toppings. It was soooo delicious!! I will definitely be back!!

Omg! One of the best Mediterranean restaurants that I have ever been too. Everything is made in house. Small business owner. I am so happy you all are in Virginia! Everything was delicious and fresh! The lemon garlic vinaigrette and olive oil on the grilled shrimp bowl is a must try!! Service was amazing! Ambiance was family friendly. Thank you for the recommendation! Will return!

We were in the area for about a month and Yafa was our lifeline. The owners are so kind and they actually care about their customers. Everything is made fresh and from scratch. It's quite honestly the most nourishing meal I have gotten out in a very long time. It's very inviting on the inside. We have eaten there and taken it home. The food also holds up very well in the fridge and tastes great the next day! Our go-to has been the chicken kebab bowl with pita. I do 1/2 rice and 1/2 mixed greens with almost every topping. I definitely recommend the cucumber dressing! You can get it on the side. The Yafa fries are also amazing, we get the Za'atar seasoning on them and it's to die for (if you like Za'atar). The falafel is also noteworthy along with the Egyptian rice (sweet desert).

Overall, if chicken kabobs were on the Cheesecake Factory menu, this version would be on the skinnylicious menu for those counting calories and preferring a healthier less indulgent version since flavors seem muted and textures appear lacking due to insufficient oil/grease.

The service at this visit was pleasant from the front of house staff. They stopped by my table a few times to check on me. Thoughtful and friendly....and nice smiles all around. The food is typically excellent when it is delivered to my home, and dining in did not disappoint me. I thought their Naan was standard and good, but dining inside I appreciated that the Naan was baked to crispy excellence, especially on a cold night like tonight. I am surprised to see how many people roaming here inside the restaurant on a cold Sunday night. I found out later there was a birthday party group enjoying themselves hidden behind me separated by a temporary black partition. Despite the rain this evening, many people are coming into the place to pickup their food items, and the phone oh so busy. Don't expect to bring large groups here. The restaurant has just a few tables inside. They do have a couple tables outside when the weather is good. It will probably be spring or summer when I dine in again. The heater was not working effectively. I will definitely continue to order from this place. Family friendly too. Can be noisy. At least tonight, it was. 4.5 out 5 stars $$

There was a second birthday party in full swing, yet the family who owns the restaurant greeted us with such warmth and kindness and invited us to sit wherever we felt comfortable. You can immediately tell this is a place built on heart, humility, and truly good people. The service stood out in the best way. I asked whether the Caesar dressing contained anchovies due to a pregnancy restriction, and although our server wasn't completely sure, he handled it with care and thoughtfulness. He brought the dressing on the side and offered to swap it entirely out of an abundance of caution, which meant a lot and showed how much they value their guests' comfort. And the food. Absolutely delicious. Every dish tasted fresh and authentic, and the sauces alone are worth coming back for. You can tell everything is made with intention and pride. What really makes this place special, though, is the feeling you leave with. By the end of dinner, it doesn't feel like you just ate at a restaurant. It feels like you were welcomed into a family. When both items arrived to the table, the white pizza which I added mushrooms and jalapenos on topped of their ingredients such as garlic, olive oil and mozzarella cheese, looked scrumptious and I can tell ya, that first bite had my taste buds jumping off my palate. The combination of all ingredients along with the cheese, sauce, airy and crispy edges of that crust, that was a perfect bite! It was SO delicious, I wasn't able to just take one bite.
