    Butter Chicken Lunch Special
    Thuy V.

Had lunch with hubby and it was so good. Food took a little longer than expected and we had to get back to work so we didn't get to savor the food. Best butter chicken I've had in a while - sooo flavorful. Chicken biryani's was very good too. Nice red interior. Good for family, friends, solo, group. Was not busy at lunch. Had take out before too. There are two lunch specials - one with naan and other with more small appetizers (crispy flat bread, chickpeas, and a rice dessert)

Despite what the sign says, they won't seat and serve lunch customers after 2:30 - even if you arrive on time and they keep you waiting

They're dead empty but happy to turn away business because (despite the sign that says lunch until 3:00), they won't seat you after 2:30. Never mind that I arrived before 2:30 and the hostess was in the back not paying attention.

Very oily, oddly spiced chicken vindaloo

My daughter and I wanted to try out a new place and she found Curry House on Ubereats. My daughter ordered Saag Chili chicken and I ordered Chicken Vindaloo, with a side of naan and vegetable pakora. We have been getting this same order at different restaurants all over the world. The good: We liked the fact that you have the ability to choose the heat level. The vegetable pakora was a hearty size and subtly tasty. Not overpowering. The bad: The chicken vindaloo was unusually super red in color and completely under seasoned however there was one ingredient I have never had in vindaloo that was unbelievably overpowering. So much so, I could no longer eat the dish. Besides that, the amount of oil was so bad I had to pour it out in the sink. Even after I poured out the oil, there was a significant amount left in the container. See photo. The saag chicken had a similar issue with the seasoning. While there was heat, there wasn't any actual spices. These dishes were just thrown together by someone who had no idea of what they should taste like. It's simply wrong. As far as the naan, it was overly buttered and tasted bready. Naan shouldn't be bready. I don't think this place is for me but judge for yourselves.

My niece ordered carryout Indian food from Curry House. She ordered chicken steamed momo and garlic naan for appetizers; goa fish curry, lamb tikka masala, butter chicken, and palak mushroom for main dishes. All the food was delicious. The chicken in butter chicken was a little bit dry but the sauce was yummy. My favorite dishes were garlic naan and lamb tikka masala. The naan was so tasty. The lamb was so tender and didn't have a gamey taste. We all enjoyed the food and look forward to dining in that restaurant soon.

Friendly service and easy to get to. Plenty of seating. The menu is traditional with a couple of Nepalese items. The Chicken 65 is a little on the sweet side. The Bhel Puri was solid. Amazing naan. Plus, they have a weekend buffet that has good potential

This might be more of 3.5 star rating but a few things that I would take away from the rating doesn't really have to do with the food, so I will round up! In town for the holidays and decided to try out this place as it's right in the neighborhood. Pros: Good food. Tried their vegetarian appetizer sampler and it was good with good sauces. The chicken wings were nice and spicy. The butter chicken was delicious as well as the paneer mahkani. The grilled lamb plate was also delicious. Rice and garlic naan also good. Cons: Did not have any ice the evening we went because their ice machine was broken. So water was warm. Chai masala tea- milk was already poured into tea. Had a very milky flavor. Would have liked to add my own. Only one server so a little slow service. Did not make my husbands butter chicken spicy as requested and then didn't have any spice platter for him to add his own spice to make it spicer. Overall decent Indian food. Would come back again, but if in the area, I will always tend to go to Jaipur in Fairfax.

First let me say that I I order quite frequently from curry house and I that this is the first time I have an issue. Their food is amazing. Tonight, I ordered online through Uber Eats. I ordered the lamb chops which is a favorite of mine. The picture is of the lamb chops I received. Mostly bone on 2 of those chops. The dish by itself was $26, not crazy for lamb chops but definitely too little meat for that amount. The picture is the intact lamb as it came. Still delicious though.

    Vindaloo Curry Lunch Special

Ordered via UberEats. I got the chicken vindaloo lunch special, priced at $15.99 (plus tax and tip). As at least one other review stated, the dish was very oily (not creamy or smooth like at other places). Additionally, it was liberally dispersed with little crunchy things (I'm guessing they're some sort of peppercorns for spice) which also affected the texture/taste in a bad way. There is no option to choose spice level for the lunch special, so it came heavily spicy--so much so that I am unable to eat it comfortably. Note that I have a pretty high spice tolerance, but this was not enjoyable. Chicken was dry. Overall the flavor was decent and I really wanted to eat and enjoy it since I paid so much money for barely any food, but the spice level overpowered the dish for me. Very few potato pieces. Came with rice and naan, which were both good, but again with this being a "lunch special" the size is reduced significantly. Overall, I feel like it was a waste of money since I couldn't eat it.

I have not physically been to this restaurant so I cannot comment on the service or ambiance I placed an order through Uber Eats to try their momos. I was born and raised in Nepal and momos are one of my favorite things ever. Delivery was pretty quick so I had high hopes that my momos would be good. They were pretty disappointing. A little dry and just all around meh. I'm still giving them 3 stars because I realize delivery momo is hard to perfect. Aachar was also just okay. I also ordered a dal makhni (delicious), garlic naan (not good), and rasmalai (delicious, but also no such thing as bad rasmalai) I wouldn't order from here again but would eat in person if I was close by

I went second time and was very disappointed. We were two and had lite meal already and ordered tandoori chicken and chicken curry with two naan. I asked for green peppers and the young girl said they don't have it and I said I am Willing to pay please and then se got me four five slices of jelepenos. Anyway the chicken tandoori arrived and again so disappointed four pieces and two of them were raw not fully cooked. We did not complaint as it would Have been awful with other customers sitting there and watching so we eat half the food paid $48 dollars and $7 tip and left. This is last to me we will go there. Very bad food and same with service.

Saw their ad about grand opening so decided to try. We ordered the lamb chops which came with rice and chickpeas. Naan was extra so we didn't get any. Asked for spicy but we didn't think it was very spicy. There were 4 good size chops and all grilled with plenty of marinade as you can see in the picture. It was more tandoori style which was unexpected since we've never seen it prepared this way. It was pretty good but we kinda prefer the traditional grilled. If in Burke, you should definitely give them a try.

Mixed feelings about this place. I placed an online order for the chicken momos, chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, garlic naan, and a side of chana masala. The good: Chicken Momos: Delicious and paired nicely with the sauce. Chana masala: Flavorful with the right amount of spice . Garlic naan: deliciously garlicky and soft. The In-between: It's unfortunate the main entrees were my least favorite. The butter chicken would have been better if the chicken wasn't dried out. Same for the chicken tikka masala, but also the tomato flavor was too strong for my liking. Maybe I came on an off day? Idk. I have to commend them on their generous portions but not the best Indian I've had in the area :(

Disappointing! I got butter chicken - the curry was watery and the large chicken chunks were dry. The dish was so bland. I do not recommend!

My favorite dish was the the sukuti sadheko appetizer -- the goat was almost jerky like, chewy (in the best way) but still tender; and spicy. It was served with these rice crispies that looked plain, but had so much flavor on their own. It was a fun & delicious play on texture, flavor and spice. The bar area is big and spacious, and usually sitting at the bar means better, more attentive service. The place was mildly busy, so I expected things to run smoothly -- but that wasn't the case. Right from the start, the bartender wasn't very attentive. We had to ask multiple times just to place our order. For appetizers, we tried the Goat Buttan and the Wild Boar -- we wanted to explore some of the unique delicacies on the menu. Both dishes were interesting, and the Goat Buttan and Wild Boar were actually pretty solid. Unfortunately, the service continued to be an issue. We had to flag the bartender again just to order our entrées and even for simple water refills. We ordered the Mutton Taas and the Yak Chili. The Yak Chili was very good, but the Mutton Taas was extremely dry -- like eating cardboard -- and lacked flavor. Throughout the night, our bartender was constantly absent. More than once, we had to ask another bartender to get his attention so we could get basic service. After finishing our meal, we ordered a dessert, the Gulab Jamun. The presentation looked nothing like the picture -- more like a sloppy drop of pudding -- and the taste was just as disappointing. And again, we had to flag down another bartender because ours was nowhere to be found. Service overall was lackluster, and the tip options started at 20% with no 18% choice. For the level of service we received, 15% would have been more appropriate. I won't be returning anytime soon unless I'm specifically craving their unique delicacies -- which is once in a blue moon.

In fact, I think these were worst than the impossible meat momos. Didn't seem like there was any flavor and just veggies mushed together with salt and pepper. Raita 3/5 - way too liquidy for my liking. I thought they would at least provide rice, but no. So it was just basically liquid yogurt with a couple of strips of cucumbers and carrots. Paneer chili 0/5 - the container literally said 'paneer chili' and after 2/3 bites, I asked my friend if this was actually paneer because it was kind of chewy? Of course it wasn't and it was chicken!! I'm vegetarian so I was so disappointed that they put the wrong item in our order, especially since the container explicitly said paneer.
