Ordered Indian Cafe for the first time tonight. It was not what I had a taste for. The butter Chicken tastes more like chicken tikka - not one bit of sweetness to it. The Naan was covered in fresh garlic and the bread tasted flavorless, even with all the garlic. The service was overall fast, but I don't think it's worth the prices at all. If you're looking for good Indian I wouldn't suggest ordering here as you will be disappointed, if you have your mouth set on it. read more

Amazing Family-Owned Indian Restaurant! Tried this restaurant for the first time, and it was an incredible experience. It's a family-owned business, and you can truly feel the warmth and hospitality. We ordered samosa chaat and dahi puri. The dahi puri wasn't even on their menu, but they were kind enough to modify their dahi bhalla to make it for my pregnant wife, who was craving it. She finished it so fast that I couldn't even take a picture--so that should tell you how good it was! The samosa chaat was equally delicious, with the perfect balance of spices and flavors. I had a samosa, chicken curry....and we recommend you try their new menu item: lamb biriyani. They have a lively setting with colorful decor, Indian music videos, and friendly customers. Indian Cafe was on the radar for my son and I for quite a while, so we finally went in for takeout. XLNT!! He's vegetarian, I'm not, but there were plenty of options for both of us. Everything was great, from the garlic naan, green chutney (AWESOME!), rice, baingan bharta, chana marsala, chicken tikka (dry). The dish wasn't dry; it's tikka without sauce. What a gem! Indian Café in Woodbridge has an amazing menu--so many choices it's hard to decide. We tried the samosas, chickpea entrée, chicken tikka masala, aloo gobi, and naan. Every dish was packed with incredible flavor, and the portions were huge. We left full (with leftovers!) and couldn't believe the value for the price. The customer service is outstanding--warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. We're already planning to go back to try more dishes, though next time we might order a little less... the excitement of all the flavors got the best of us! We ordered take out from Indian Cafe this week and we loved it! We had the goat curry, buttered chicken, chicken biriani, channa masala, and garlic Naan. Everything was super delicious and flavorful. We ordered spicy for everything. The food was definitely spicy but not crazy. The only reason I went down a star is because I think for the price the portions could be a little bigger. read more

10/10 recommend. This restaurant is one of the only ones in like a 20 mile radius that does NOT use soybean oil. (I have a really sensitive soy and peanut allergy) They also must have a super clean kitchen because I have no issues with cross contamination (they do have peanuts in some dishes). So, THANK YOU for using quality ingredients it has become almost impossible to find anywhere I can eat (even places like Starbucks or chipotle give me terrible hives) So far I've tried the Gobi Manchurian (fried cauliflower), butter chicken, goat biryani, chicken tikka masala and mango lassi. I would order it all again! The butter chicken and tikka masala were pretty similar tasting (but so delicious) - I'd love to see vindaloo on the menu :) the goat was super tender and if you order spicy, they will give you a few bird eye chilis! We went there because of the reviews- the food was terrible. One of the worst experiences in NoVa. The Gobi Manchurian is made in barbecue sauce.. the curries are not made in fresh ingredients at all.. the chutneys are inauthentic and had gone sour. The best was Shahi Paneer was served in a small bowl- 5 pieces of paneer.. All in all- very small portion sizes of tasteless food. read more

I am not a huge fan of Indian food. The spices are overpowering for me personally. I sound like a hypocrite because well I was craving Chicken Bryiani, a Pakistani dish full of powerful spices, I decided to order after another review from a friend who always eats out without me sadly I am great company! Anyway, I ended up enjoying the food but the service took me back because the young man was kind enough to wait for me even though they were past closing time AND he was SO kind & sweet with a HUGE smile on his handsome face! The worst Indian food in the DMV. I've had better food reheated from a box. I got the chicken tikka masala. It was loaded with methi (fenugreek) to the point where that is all you taste. Especially if you are Pakistani this place will not be up to your standard. This place is a hard pass. read more

We've driven by this place before and decided to give it a try tonight. All I can say is AMAZING. Jessie served us and was the most polite person we've run into in the 15 years we've lived here!! We ordered the samosas, I had chicken chili and my wife had chicken korma. Food was absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned and fresh off the grill. Portions were huge, so was worth every cent.
