Special Nehari
Asad Q.

We had cravings for Special Nehari just before the thanksgiving weekend ... no where to be found. We were grateful to Chef Baba Tahir at our special request to prepare the Special Nehari with Nalli and Maghaz along with Khata Kat at Kabab G. We enjoyed both the dishes, which were just delicious and sumptuous!! Thank you Tahir Bhai

This is chicken Chapali Kabob Special. It comes with SO MUCH STUFF.

Exceptional food and service. The owner is quirky and funny in a good way, and he bent over backwards to give us great service. You should come here to help him pay for the chiropractor he's going to need, from all that bending. Seriously, this place is terrific.

Chicken Kabob

After hearing from friends how good the food was here and after reading reviews about how authentic it is, I wanted to give it a try... especially since the BEST Chinese place within 25 miles is in the same plaza (referring to Szechuan Taste). Co-workers and I ordered carry-out on our first visit and I was very impressed with how elaborate their website/online ordering was, allowing the comments and customization on each item. But on that order, they didn't seem to read any of the comments or side requests, as we got the same side, and it wasn't what we ordered. So, a week later, we did the same thing, ordering online and once again ordering saag as a side instead of channa. This time I went to pick up the order and noticed the channa and no saag. I asked about this and he went in the back and brought out a pint of saag, I was very happy! The naan both times we ordered was NOT FRESH and had the texture like it was reheated after possibly being made in large batches prior. Next time I order here I'll ask for fresh naan. The quality of the food is awesome! Taste is very authenticate and perfectly spiced! Chapli kabob was AMAZING with the perfect amount of heat and the right amount of whole coriander inside. Their Seekh kabob was also very nicely done, fresh and definitely not dried out from over-cooking. Tastes like they make the kabob down in the Tandoor, not on a gas flame on top of an open flame grill. The saag was outstanding, reminded me of what I got when in Pakistan! Samosa chaat was also amazing and nicely spiced! I definitely look forward to returning and can say that this place is probably one of the most authentic places when it comes to their use of spices and the taste of their curries and kabobs.

Friendly service. Great food. Love the wraps, they are huge and packed with flavor. Will definitely come back!

Chicken breast kabob and chicken seekh kabob

Enjoyed our first dinner here. We are more used to Afghan kabob but this Pakistani kabob was great too. We had the combos: one with chicken breast and chicken seekh kabob and the other with chicken breast and beef seekh kabob. All very flavorful and the portions were huge!! The owner Mr Habib came over multiple times to make sure we were happy and was very friendly and welcoming.

I love the kebabs here, but I think they're changing to a new restaurant. Maybe they'll still have the kebabs.

My favorite kabob place. The flavor of the spinach and boneless chicken kabobs really stood out. I'll be ordering from here regularly

Overall, if chicken kabobs were on the Cheesecake Factory menu, this version would be on the skinnylicious menu for those counting calories and preferring a healthier less indulgent version since flavors seem muted and textures appear lacking due to insufficient oil/grease.

The service at this visit was pleasant from the front of house staff. They stopped by my table a few times to check on me. Thoughtful and friendly....and nice smiles all around. The food is typically excellent when it is delivered to my home, and dining in did not disappoint me. I thought their Naan was standard and good, but dining inside I appreciated that the Naan was baked to crispy excellence, especially on a cold night like tonight. I am surprised to see how many people roaming here inside the restaurant on a cold Sunday night. I found out later there was a birthday party group enjoying themselves hidden behind me separated by a temporary black partition. Despite the rain this evening, many people are coming into the place to pickup their food items, and the phone oh so busy. Don't expect to bring large groups here. The restaurant has just a few tables inside. They do have a couple tables outside when the weather is good. It will probably be spring or summer when I dine in again. The heater was not working effectively. I will definitely continue to order from this place. Family friendly too. Can be noisy. At least tonight, it was. 4.5 out 5 stars $$

When we walked in, we were greeted very nicely and sat quickly. Our server was new and it was her first day so she couldn't really give any recommendations which wasn't the best, but the manager came out and was able to help with describing some of the dishes and giving great recommendations. Most of the people that we ate with ended up with some type of lamb dish and the lamb was phenomenal. The rice was delicious. The eggplant was delicious. We got a bunch of appetizers. Everything was on point. Everything tasted super fresh and overall we had a very nice experience. The food also came out very quickly. The overall ambience was very nice very home type vibe and it is a smaller restaurant for limited tables One of our friends that we went with since we haven't seen each other for a long time was really craving a beer and kebabs which sometimes a little bit harder than one would anticipate but they served alcohol as well as delicious food so win-win here. So overall, I would highly recommend this place if you want delicious Afghan food, but of course remember to book in advance .
