Just went here for some carry out. I got the chicken schwarma platter and tried Turkish coffee for the first time. The platter is good. They gave me enough to split into two meals, but it's so good I'm just doing my best Hoover vacuum imitation. There will be no leftovers. The veggies were nice and fresh. I suspect the owner or managers hand pick the veggies. This food is so good. If I ever win the Powerball I will eat here at least every other day. The Turkish coffee is very good. I don't know anything about Turkish coffee in general, but I killed half the cup in the restaurant while they prepared my food. Nice and full bodied. Strong, but not too strong. I've been to the location that was in Potomac Mills (not sure if it's still there) years back but haven't thought about it until this location came up so we placed an order for dinner. I placed an online order for the Grape Leaves Platter, Kufta Kabob, and a Chicken Shawarma Platter. I pulled up to the place, not so busy at the time but a few people eating in. They seemed a little confused about my order at first but it was already ready when I got there. It definitely was a good amount of food first off. I did place the order 2 hours in advance but they must have made it much earlier because it was a little cold. The shawarma platter was as solid as I remember. Lots of flavor, lots of chicken. Great yogurt sauce that comes with it. The kufta kabob was also good and seasoned well. The sauce that came with that wasn't too flavorful though. Grape leaves were solid as well as the tabbouleh and baba ganoush that came with. Of course the bread was great, I wish I had more. Overall a good meal. I would definitely come back for the shawarma platter and maybe try some of their other offerings. Also a small note, didn't know you get charged a 'support local fee' on their site so keep that in mind. read more

This location has some of the best food! I love the tang of their sauces, I love the texture of the hummus, and the meat is extremely fresh. The side salads are super crunchy, light and flavor and have a wonderful taste! I definitely love going here. We've probably ordered from them once a month at minimum. We don't go often because we mostly eat at home but when we go out this is one of the places that we choose because of the freshness of the ingredients and the incredibly kind staff. Several colleagues and I popped across the street from the Prince William County Complex to the Petra Grill for lunch. At 1230 on a quiet holiday week Wednesday, we found a handful of tables in use and plenty of room for our group of six. The restaurant is easily found in the far end of a strip shopping center near the liquor store. Parking is plentiful as well. This is an order at the counter, find a table and they bring your meals out to you kind of place. We were warmly greeted at the counter and spent just a moment perusing their bright pictured dish overhead menu. I think the order numbers for the popular dishes went into the twenties so you are bound to find something you will like. I ordered the Mediterranean platter that came with humus, a cucumber salad and couscous along with the meat. The portions were huge but I powered through and ate it all. Of course I skipped dinner later that night. Everything I had was fresh and tasty. The others in my party were equally happy with their meals. We had a sponsor buying lunch but if I remember correctly most platters were just a hair above $10 each but I don't think that included a drink. I would visit again the next time I'm in the area and have a big appetite. read more

Ordered a quick take out while in the area and I was not too impressed. I had the beef shawarma and it contained some sort of a spice which made my moth numb. My husband had the chicken shawarma (we both got wraps) and it was overly salted and the vegetables within the wrap became soggy. I found this to be annoying because we are our food in the car (rather than eating it at home). Both of our wraps and the fries were almost cold as soon as we got the order unwrapped to eat. I've been going to Petra Grill off and on for many years now, and yesterday was the first time I was disappointed, not because of the food, but the customer service has changed not so much for the better from my experience. As stated, before I've gone for years and ALWAYS gotten the same thing, maybe the young lady was so busy multi-tasking, but she was convinced she heard me say something that I didn't, and it could have very well been the customer she heard on the phone last that stuck in her mind. You walk up and order or call ahead and pick up. Then take a seat if you're dining in and they bring the food to you. Service is friendly. Now for the part we've all been waiting for... The food. I choose to go with the appetizer falafel platter because to be honest I'm not a huge fan of meat. My mom choose the number 7?5? platter; it had beef. Naturally I had to try some of her food too. Oh my gosh. It was the juiciest most savory beef I have ever had in any mediterranean restaurant. I couldn't stop picking at her plate! She didn't mind at all because the portions are pretty big, we even had leftovers. I am also raving about this place to almost everyone.
