Really impressed by this new spot! Absolutely loved the walking shawarma, the chicken is out of this world. So flavorful and the rice is so fresh. Friendly service and super clean restaurant! Will be back.

First time and it was so delicious! I highly recommend chicken shawarma over the beef. Beef was a hard to chew and overall okay in flavor. Also get the Greek salad over the fries! (way too salty in fries unless you prefer that lol) Coming back to try the platters next! Employees were nice.

I had extremely high expectations for Osmows, but unfortunately, I was met with disappointment. My visit was shortly after they opened and I ordered the "On the Roxs - Chicken." The rice in this platter was the worst I've ever had--it was mushy and even watery. Definitely not what I expected. Since the rice is usually the key part of a bowl like this, it ruined the entire dish for me. I tried my friends' fries from the Oz Box, and at least the fries were decent. The service was very slow. I understand that they're new and the staff may still be learning, but it took an unusually long time to get my order. Even checking out was slow, as the cashier struggled to operate the register. Overall, it was a pretty disappointing experience. I really hope they improve as they settle in.

The food is amazing it's one of my new favorite places in the manassas area to eat. No where around town has food this unique. The restaurant is very clean and has a nice vibe. The service is very quick and the workers love to talk and walk you through ordering. I will say it is a bit pricy, but the amount of food you get that's fresh is 2 meals worth. I have been 4-6 times now and can't finish. The portions are very large and could even be split and shared

Clean establishment! The customer service is great! Pro Tip: if you aren't a sauce kind of person, get it anyway. this is the dryer style of shawarma which NEEDS sauce. I recommend the Garlic Sauce and Tahini for starters. better tasting than the enhanced ranch from the Halal cart over rice guys.. Prices are just about where they aren't expensive, but definitely not cheap. About $14 including tax for a wrap with fries and soda. oh the fries are super crispy and salted JUST right. store closes at midnight.... not too late.. but just in time for after shopping trip meals..

**First visit** I'm not sure how long the restaurant has been open, but looks pretty new. I received a very friendly greeting, and prompt service. Clean food prep station plenty of willing personnel, in and out in just a couple minutes. I tried the Mixed On the Salad. Finely carved chicken & beef shawarma from the rotisserie and grilled too. The beef was a bit tough and chewy, the chicken was good. Lots of extra add-on toppings. I also requested their garlic and tzatziki sauce. Really tasty! I look forward to trying the Lamb Shawarma sautéed with onions in the future.

Omg what delicious food!…read more Uptown Cafe is a small family owned business in a busy plaza with plenty of parking. The seating is a bit limited as it's a small place but I always order to go. But let me tell you this is some of THE BEST Food I've had in a looong time. It hits all the marks: fresh ingredients; perfect spicing, flavors and mixes; healthy options; tastes homemade because it is; and has a variety of food to choose from. I usually get the Caribbean Jerk Chicken bowl which is amazing because its individual components are just as tasty by themselves as they are complemented by each other in the bowl. It has grilled dark meat chicken which is packed with a unique jerk flavoring special to this place; I literally don't like chicken most of the time and especially have a hard time with grilled chicken, but at uptown cafe I would eat that chicken for every meal by itself that's how much flavor it has! Then it is complemented by house made pico de gallo (I always get extra) always fresh, seasoned white rice, corn, shredded cheese, grilled onions (I don't get these as I'm not a huge onion fan), lettuce, and homemade chipotle sauce that is particular to Uptown cafe (I haven't tried another like it) and so good it's addicting! To top it off they always have a soup of the day which is made from scratch. My favorite so far has been the vegetable dumpling soup which included carrots, scallions, onions and a tasty broth. They also have had tomato bisque, chicken noodle, chicken pho, and spicy chicken tortilla. They offer a range of other food items like salmon poke and beef bulgogi bowls, wraps, and breakfast burritos which I hope to try soon. They also have a huge variety of unique drinks and bakery items that change day to day. The portions are huge and definitely filling. I usually can't even finish my bowl by myself, so the value for the quality and quantity of food is excellent. The service is amazing as it's run by the sweetest owners who are always very kind and accommodating and truly care about you and your order. They always make my day with their smiles. TLDR: A small cafe with plenty of delicious food options and owners who make your day and truly care. Definitely try their Caribbean jerk chicken bowl and their homemade soups! I have been so obsessed with this place since I first went and go there at least once a week now. Their food is so good I literally crave it all the time!! Go, you won't regret it!

At first we were a bit worried as it was 6:30pm on a Friday and the place was empty. Glad we didn't let that stop us from staying. The place has a very relaxing vibe and almost felt like you were in someone's home. The menu is smaller than most Ethiopian restaurants I've been to, but still had most of the traditional dishes. We ordered the trio combo (Beg Wot, Doro Wot, Tibs). We were able to add a fourth which meant the portions were a bit smaller. Our fourth item was the Tuna Kitfo. I wasn't a huge fan of the kitfo, because I love the traditional beef version. However, my friend loved it. I enjoyed all the other items. It really did give me authentic Ethiopian vibes. A must try if you're in the area.

We loved that they were flying the Sri Lankan and US flags out front, it helped us find it in the strip mall. :) We wanted to try a few of my favorites -- string hoppers, hoppers, chicken kotthu, chicken curry and masala vadai (lentil fritter appetizer). None of it disappointed! My husband and daughter both loved the masala vadai, hoppers and chicken curry. We all enjoyed the real Sri Lankan drinks they had -- Dilmah brand! -- and sodas. It'd be great to add beer to the menu, my guess is they're waiting on the ABC license (there appears to be a bar ready to be stocked!). If you've never had Sri Lankan before, the staff is friendly and willing to field questions and give recommendations. It's always a little hard to describe Sri Lankan food -- but after growing up in Southeast Asia and spending time in India, I describe it as the missing link between the two -- which geographically makes sense! More coconut than Indian, and different spice combos than Indonesian/Thai. It's incredible unique and super tasty! Their menu also has pretty lengthy descriptions, which help you decide. I also loved the Sri Lankan pride on display -- cards on the table with different explanations of locations, etc; placemats with photos of its amazing nature and a TV playing scenes of the greatest hits of Sri Lankan tourism.

There used to be a similarly named Sri Lankan restaurant in DC proper, but since it closed I don't know where else you'd go for this cuisine. They had a tourism channel playing in the background, which was rather propagandistic but did have some interesting information about this distinctive island country. The cuisine is definitely distinctive; it is different than any Indian restaurant you'd try. Notably, it is not as vegetarian-friendly as a lot of Indian places, but there were still interesting things to try. I sampled a dish of stir-fried string hoppers (ultra-thin rice noodles) with shredded vegetables to match. It came with a mouthwatering spice mix and although I ordered it unsure if I would finish it, I did, aided by an accompanying chili paste. A vegetable soup was likewise tasty, and among their appetizer selections was a set of fantastic lentil fritters, which should be tried. The place could have been cleaner, and notably this cuisine is brightly colored and will stain a white table cloth pretty easily. I hope they do well and expand their menu offerings, and I was happy to have tried it.
