This was my first time visiting a Chopt salad. The menu offers a variety of salad options and proteins. If salads are not your thing they do have warm bowls, wraps and soups. I opted for the kale Cesar salad and added chicken on as a protein. The chicken is available in both crispy or roasted option. The salad was made quickly and I'm sure I could have added additional toppings but I will have to do my research next time. For the price of the salad, I expected the bowl to be more packed than it was. The bowl was on the light side and they add the chicken at the bottom so it seems like adding the chicken is not really worth it. I did appreciate the salad dressing being added to your liking but I don't know if I would try the kale Cesar again. read more

Oh, Chopt, why didn't I discover you sooner?! The salmon miso ginger bowl is TO DIE FOR. I love my salmon bowls & I've tried them from different places like sweetgreens & Tatte, but this one beats them all. The greens are so fresh, salmon perfectly cooked, & overall just a great balance of sweet & savory flavors & textures with the radish & fried shallots. The carrot miso dressing is *Chef's kiss.* They have a good variety of salads, wraps & warm bowls, which I'm excited to try. This place is definitely on daily rotation! read more

This is the best salad place around Fairfax. I ordered the shrimp spring roll salad and it was huge, and the ingredients were fresh. The place is immaculately clean, relaxing, and the man making my salad was friendly and responsive to my request. I will be going back. PS: You can also get your salad as a wrap. read more

I've never had any issues with this place, but I'm honestly really disappointed. I tried to go inside to order something quick and turns out they closed way before closing time (they close at 9PM and had locked up by 8:30PM). The guy there saw me and motioned for me to leave. Writing a review because twice now for a group order, the salads are assembled incorrectly (grilled chicken instead of fried, missing dressing, wrong/missing toppings, etc.) The dressing also isn't tossed properly most times - some of the bowl is doused with dressing while other areas are completely bland. Lastly, when you order soup, apparently you only get 3/4 of the container - what a rip off. read more

I ordered a customer craft salad for delivery and it was a great meal! I used romaine and the chopt blend for the base, and the white balsamic vinaigrette for the dressing. My toppings were avocado, corn, apples, grilled chicken, dried cranberries, and jalapeno peppers. I liked how they chopped all the ingredients into bite-sized pieces. Thus, each bite had a good ratio of toppings and greens and the dressing was able to coat each piece (after I mixed it in well). I didn't like the dressing that much, as it was a bit too sour for me. Sadly, they skimped on the avocado even though it was an extra $3 - I barely had any in my bowl. The complimentary piece of bread was unexpectedly tiny and a bit chewy. Overall, I enjoyed my salad but not sure if it's worth the price. read more

Received poor customer service from one associate and positive customer service experience from another. Food: Great I received a coupon for 1 Free Salad for the soft opening on Tuesday 12/7/21. I work nearby so I've been watching the "Chopt Coming Soon" signs all summer long, patiently anticipating the opening and telling my co-workers all about it. I eat salads and veggies everyday and sometimes you just want to eat out, but have something healthy. And I've been going to Chopt for years in the area. I stopped by after work, ready to take pictures of the food and the experience. I was approached by someone, I believe it was a manager, and she abruptly told me no pictures were allowed. Pause: Her approach, tone and demeanor was rude, aggressive, and not customer friendly at all. It felt more like a reprimand rather than a polite request. I explained it was for yelp and asked why not take pics? I also explained I was not taking pictures of the people there, just the pictures of the experience. I asked her again why not, and she really wasn't able to provide a reason, so she said she would find out why not. So she came back and explained that they weren't open yet. Ok...I asked so once you open can I take pictures then? And she said yes. There was another very polite young lady there, very welcoming and she basically told me not to worry about it. She encouraged me to to stay, get the free salad and come back the next day for another discounted salad. I thanked her for HER for her hospitality and told her the other lady needs to be coached in politeness and courtesy to others. My salad was delish, as expected. They have added heated dishes as well. That is new to me. Very healthy options. Hopefully I will be able to update my review with a more positive experience. read more

This is one of the most pleasant place to eat your favorite Salad and now wraps. I have been in many Chopt locations and this by far is one of the Best, 10 stars for outstanding customer service, 10 stars for one of the most cleanest Chopt in the DMV. I ordered my favorite salad with all the fresh ingredients, the entire staff here is so friendly, everyone here wears a mask but from their eyes I can tell that they are smiling. Today I brought my grandson to work and we had to pick up Grandmas salad and then head to Mc Donald's, as soon as the general manager heard that I was leaving to get him Mc Donald's she asked if there's anything else he likes here, I told her he only would eat cucumber so she hands me a small container of cucumber and said he doesn't need to go to Mc Donald's now, this brightened up my entire day to see and hear people be so kind. Yensi you deserve 20 stars for your outstanding customer service. She had a pleasant conversation with me where I stated that all my grandkids love vegetables except this one and that the only veggie he likes is cucumber, we shared stories of our children which is also something that means the world to me. This is my first time coming here I live over an hour away however this won't be my last. This place now has a warm place in my heart and I will be coming more often. If you live, world or are visiting the area I highly recommend coming here, not only is this establishment clean, it has the Best customer service anyone could ever ask for. First time trying this, the wrap was amazing. You can taste the freshness in the ingredients. Furthermore, Chandler was awesome. I had ordered it to the wrong store and he was able to call up that store, cancel / refund my order and recreate my order right then and there. The location is great and inside looks beautiful. Very modern design and lots of room to sit. The couches are cushioned and comfortable and was pleasantly surprised to see a few booths there. Overall, I feel great and energized after eating. Old chicken ruined the entire bowl They try to copy sweet green/dig in, same pricy but much worse quality. I ordered a Mediterranean chicken bowl, it was terrible. Chicken was not fresh (you know those old chicken smell), made the entire meal terrible, even though other toppings was ok. I could not eat another bite so I ended up throwing it out. It was 12.99 and I paid tips, sparkling water and extra topping, together I spent $20. Amazing customer service from Mary (Manager) and Helena! I ordered online and thought I picked the Fairfax location only to arrive thinking my order was taken. Big OOPS on my part. Rather than send me back to the other location which was 15 minutes away the Manager called the other location and let them know. While Mary was on the phone she had Helena take care of my order. Helena mixed it perfectly and all with a smile! The salad bowl is a nice size. I ordered the Kale Caesar salad which will now be my fave when I order there again. The dressing is delicious and not too tangy. Inside Chopt: Very clean and nicely lit without being too bright. And the pickup shelf is conveniently situated straight ahead, at the end of the checkout, as soon as you walk in the door. Parking: It shares parking with Trader Joe's, Staples, etc. and it's a busy plaza shopping center. Although it's busy you'll always find parking there. The only concern you should have is driving around in the parking lot. You know, people who who walk in the middle of the road with no concern they are in a busy parking lot and also there are THOSE people just dashing across from between the parked cars without even looking. I love the salads here, the place is always clean, and the service is prompt! However, the quality of said service can be inconsistent... Once I've had the worker forgot to include chicken, which was my one and only protein of the order. And whenever I've asked for dressing on the side, they tend to forget to include it. The dressing I can overlook, but I do expect to have protein for the prices they charge.. However, I looked down and there was a small brown spider crawling up the (in)side of the container. Was only half way done but that totally ruined my appetite. I find the Chopt chain better than the other salad places because of the quality of the ingredients, value, and overall cleanliness of the locations. The new store on Main Street is a welcome healthy addition to the neighborhood. The staff is friendly and wonderful, the selection is great, and the speed of service makes it very convenient. I have visited three times and each one has been positive. All the choices overwhelm me a bit but the staff has helped me each time customize a salad - and once a wrap - that was so good.
