What a gem, delicious vegetarian food! Clean inside and super friendly staff. Will definitely come back here.

Vegan, no garlic no onion restaurant. My go-to place when I have no desire to cook for the week. I order these regularly from their ready to go offerings: Stuffed bitter melon Tofu loaf Bitter melon soup Papaya and tofu I ate in today and had the following: Fried spring rolls - Vietnamese style, wrap it with lettuce and add basil: dipping sauce is great (use the sauces on the tables that they make themselves) Vietnamese pancakes- see pic, the filling is fried tofu, straw mushrooms, bean sprouts

They recently rebranded to Dieu Huong Vegetarian Restaurant. As the reviews have stated there's not much seating inside, only 4 tables, so it's mostly a takeout restaurant. We were able to make a reservation for 2 with Google though. The service was fast and friendly. Our server made nice conversation with us and they helped us pack our leftovers to go. We got #6 Hue Vegetarian Spicy Noodle Soup and #9 Vegetarian Rice Vermicelli Soup. We both enjoyed #6 the best and it is the house special. It was not too spicy. The soups had a generous amount of toppings including multiple kinda of mushrooms, tofu and seitan. A great place for vegans/vegetarians to get Vietnamese noodle soup!

The staff here is super nice. They help me with picking the dishes and explaining what each dishes name is. This place is located in eden center near hai duong entrance. They officially changed their name to Dieu Huong. They have small seating place so perfect for 4-5 people group but not more. The service is quick and staff is nice. Food have a lot of variety and have soup, saute, seasoning all kinds. They have "lobsters", "shrimps" , "sausage" . Price is decent as well. I bought a lot of food for $65, enough food for a week. Spring roll is a bit oily but the seasoning is good!

Located in a small store within Eden center, this cute locally owned shop was run by a few individuals and they were all so sweet! They recommended certain items on the menu and were very attentive to each table in the restaurant including us. The food was good and I so was surprised that all of it was vegan!

Ok... #1 BRING CASH! No cards accepted. #2 find the large neon "Saigon West" sign outside of the building to find the entrance. You'll find this in a strip mall of sorts. I say of sorts, because I quite literally just left the United States for the past two hours. I've never seen anything like this in the US... I legit felt like I just got transported back to Asia. It was pretty much the coolest thing I've seen in a while. This restaurant is all vegetarian, but really vegan as well, heavy in tofu options. Only about 3-4 tables, so limited space. But the food was really hot and tasty, especially in such a cold day. Limited English, but when they realized I was trying to check on an allergy, they switched servers to ensure they could help answer my question. They let us eat our meal without interruptions, we stayed for a while, and they were there to help us immediately when needed. The Onnnnly thing I wish is that it was a little cleaner. Saw some bugs, but for the whole experience, just pretend you're legit in Asia and soak it all in.

viet vegetarian casual canteen style restaurant. they have vegan mam ruot (fermented fishy sauce) that often accompanies bun rieu, bun bo hue, and bun mam. i'm pleasantly surprised they even serve bun mam! it's rare to find a vietnamese vegan restaurant, let alone for them to offer so many classic vietnamese foods. people seem to come in for more take out orders than eating in. these super nice viet ladies make the food fresh every day. i came in on tuesday morning and my bun bo hue chay took 3mins to bring out to me. i'm so satisfied and cannot wait to introduce this spot to my parents!

In order to access this restaurant, you have to go inside the tiny "mall" that is in the Eden Center. This place is very small and can probably only seat around 15-20 people. Very strong hole-in-the-wall vibes. Unfortunately, it's not one of those hidden gems, in my opinion. I came with someone who had been here before, and we ended up getting one of their dishes in which they give you rice and then a bunch of mixed food on top of it. Everyone ends up with something different. The food itself was quite good, and a lot of the food tasted quite meaty even though this place is vegetarian. However, the food was lukewarm, which really took away from the experience. In addition, they were shooting off firecrackers for New Year's inside the restaurant. They were extremely loud and the firecrackers went on for over a minute when they would shoot them off (which seemed to be at random intervals too).

Another great meal at this little hidden gem. The staff here are super nice. Last visit it's apparent that they're redecorating the restaurant. Ordered my usual, the broken rice with tofu cake. Fantastic! Comes with a side soup. Also had the garden roll and truly enjoyed it. Perfect with their green tea.

Vegetarian Bun bo hue! Better than the "meat" version

Wow!! Absolutely blown away that this place is 100% vegetarian as the flavors in their food are beyond fantastic! Definitely my new Veggie Eden!! I had (or destroyed rather) their Bun Hue Chay which is a vegetarian version of the Vietnamese Bun Bo Hue beef soup. It had all the beautiful rich intense flavors of the soup without the fat, blood, bones etc they use to make the soup more hearty. All the vegetables in there were so fresh I would believe it if they were harvested that day!! Plus they give you so much food!!! I loved the broth the most - made with hearty mushrooms and carrots with seasoning, perfectly cooked noodles, vegan "ham," lots and lots of herbs and bean sprouts. YUM!!! I crave this soup now almost every day! Do yourself a favor, If you love noodle soups as much as I do, you've gotta give this place in Eden Center a try! Tips: cash only. Parking in private but very busy lot!! They have premade vegetable dishes to go! Very vegetarian and vegan friendly!

It was so hot and all I wanted was cold but zesty vermicelli noodles so I drove out to Eden Center to satiate that craving. I've been going to Eden center for years and had never seen the little hallway/indoor shops where Thanh Van Restaurant is located. I found this restaurant after looking through Yelp and gave it a try, and needless to say, I will absolutely be back. The portions are HUGE, and the food is just...incredible. It's all vegetarian and now I want to bring all of my plant-based friends here to experience the food. It's cash only and be sure to bring extra cash in case any of the hot bar or prepared cold dishes catch your eye!

I'd give 10,000 stars if I could. This place is absolutely amazing, the bestttttttttttttt vegetarian Vietnamese food ever. Some of my favorites: Their mixed salad, Open food item, Bun hue noodle soup!!!! (This you have to get) Just love love it

For context, Eden Center is (unlike DC's sadly limited Chinatown) basically a foreign country. It's not far at all to drive from the District, though the Seven Corners intersections are bizarre. I arrived as a non-novice in vegetarian Vietnamese cuisine; I know what bun hue chay means and I make a pretty good one myself. Nonetheless, the experience was a bit baffling. The people working there spoke limited English (or at least didn't speak much to me), and they had laid out tons of food on the few tables they had as if they were catering for someone. When I got my order of broken rice, I could not discern that it was noticeably "broken" compared to regular rice. The array of shredded tofu, tofu "loaf" and vegetables and sauces still made for an intriguing and tasty meal, and it was fast and cheap. It's a small place, and I'm not going to say it isn't a tad sketch, but it's got good enough food to be worth trying.

The desserts are all great and I highly recommend their soy milk. It's takeout only, you order deli style, and they give you a number after you order. The cashiers grab the food and call your number to check out. They take Visa and Mastercard but discount for cash. It's an old school Asian joint so don't expect white glove, maid cafe service. You're there to get food and get out so they're not happy if you take forever waffling on an order. The lines get long so take that time to decide what you want. I love everything about this place.

Vietnamese restaurants are generally not known for exceptional customer service. That's almost…read moreexpected. Unfortunately, this restaurant is no exception. I ordered two to-go chè ba màu (three-color desserts) and clearly asked multiple times for the shaved ice to be packed separately. The employee nodded, indicating she understood. When I got to my car and checked my order, there was no ice. So, in the July heat, I walked back inside and politely explained that my order was missing the ice. Instead of checking, the employee repeatedly insisted, "The ice is in the bag." I replied several times, "I already checked. There is no ice. Please give me my ice." She continued insisting it was there, as though I was trying to scam the restaurant out of ten cents' worth of ice. After several rounds of back-and-forth, another employee walked over... carrying a bag of ice. So yes, the ice had been forgotten all along. Instead of simply apologizing and handing me a replacement, they chose to argue with a paying customer over something that probably costs them pennies. They never say "I'm so sorry here's your ice and for your inconvenience pls accept our apologies and take this extra dessert, our complement for messing up the order". The restaurant itself feels chaotic. Their numbering and communication system between the order taker and the cashier clearly needs improvement. Whatever special instructions you give when ordering, you'd better repeat them again at the register or better yet, inspect your order before leaving. The problem is that the checkout area is so hectic that you almost feel rushed to move along. In my case, I felt like I was getting dirty looks for taking too long to verify my order worth over $60 so I checked it in my car instead which is how I discovered the missing ice. The disappointing part is that the food is outstanding. The chè was excellent, and that's the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. Good food can bring customers in the door. Good customer service is what brings them back.

As soon as you walk in, be prepared for not one case of decadent cakes but two cases. So make sure you leave room for dessert. Our entrees included a very traditional Uyghur Pilaf with Lamb and the Goshnan. The Goshnan is like a flat meat pie stuffed with flavored beef and lamb. Even though the menu says it requires an additional 10 minutes to prepare, this dish arrived before my rice pilaf. The rice in the pilaf was one of the most flavorful dishes I have had in a while. The carrots and cumin spice really added so much taste. Now I'm on the hunt for a recipe so I can try at home. For dessert we had the baklava cheesecake. We love the fact that the baklava is incorporated in the cheesecake and not just a topping on a regular cheesecake. The bottom crust is baklava sprinkled with nuts on top. Where else will you find this? Service was attentive. Parking: Extremely limited street parking in front of the restaurant. We ended up in the Tax Analysts Building garage on Tinner Hill Road (turn right on S. Maple Avenue after you pass the restaurant). Signs were not very clear whether parking was permitted but because there were businesses listed on the sign, we assumed it was okay. When we asked the staff in the restaurant, they were not sure. Our car was not towed so this is a possibility if you can't find street parking.
