In terms of the locality, this is somewhere between a hidden gem and the best that you will find. While I prefer to be complimentary, I consider it imperative to foremost maintain impartiality and fairness: and in kind, I must assign a score of between 2.5 to 2.75 stars. While "closer" to 3 stars than 2 stars, I do not consider it to meet the bar necessary to afford 3 stars; nor does it meet instinctive nor hardened criteria for "grading up". Accordingly, I must be seemingly harsh here. With that said, I *do* recommend dining here if traveling through the area; though I would not suggest a) going out of your way to dine here; nor b) changing plans if you already have another place or destination in mind. While the Happy Hour is fairly priced and a good opportunity to try a great array of dishes as well as enjoy some strong libations, quality of ingredients, execution, and consistency are all quite variable with a median of 2.6 and an average of 2.5. Seasoning, overcooking, and heating issues were quite rife; and while the quality and freshness of some items was more attractive, I could not hold that sentiment across the board. I was more than a little sore over a $26 entree that was suggested as being quite good, but was rough and lacking flavor, moisture and tenderness, and that j'ene sais quoi that makes a good meat dish, good. I refer here to the rack of lamb. While it may be attractive to drink a lot given the price margins, especially as someone from perhaps an adjacent area that usually sees higher cost, I would caution against that given 1) how busy the traffic in this area can be; and 2) as a reminder that you still need to get home; and this area isn't exactly "on the metro". Likewise, the service, while perhaps short-staffed, is friendly, affable, and conversant. The vibe is quite relaxed, and is opportune for striking up conversations with locals and other passers-by. While I can see a lot of what the restaurant is going for, my recommendation would be to 1) downsize the menu; 2) downsize the seating; 3) modernize in concept, presentation, ingredients, and dishes; and 4) not bring out all the desserts to "show" clientele when trying to suggest a dessert. The logic of the latter is quite dated, and if an item should not look entirely fresh nor presentable (both of which is the case when I visited), this may not only put off the customer from dessert; but may invoke a comprehensively lower appreciation of the experience. While the ambiance could modernize as well, I kind of dig the dive/sports bar vibe; especially given the locality. But menu and intent must fit the ambiance. I wish the owner and staff success, and appreciate their hospitality.

We love this place and it's our local bar! The bartenders and servers are all so friendly and make you feel welcome right away. The food is yummy and the inside is gorgeous. The bar area is separate and beautiful with lots of large screens for sports. The restaurant part is beautiful with tables that are set back in like a semi-private area. There's also a huge banquet room perfect for receptions. The prices are reasonable and food is great. As locals this is our spot and we go for happy hour a lot. Love that it's quiet and not overly crowded. Plus there's plenty of parking!

We had stopped by one evening on our way home for dinner and while we were enjoying our meal the manager ,Ana, stopped by our table . We got to chatting and then mentioned that we were recently engaged. When she showed us the banquet room, we decided to have our wedding here. Ana was wonderful in helping us plan our big event. The banquet room was ideal for our needs and the buffet packages were in our price range. The food was delicious and the service was great. Our wedding was everything we hoped for! Thanks Ana!

Ive been to this place pre covid and enjoyed their brunch. I brought my family this time to try out their dinner. Dinner was delicious! I had Bacalhau Assado. A huge serving. It took me 3 days to finish it. My husband had their Linguini Terra Mar and enjoyed it as well. My only gripe was the service. I understand staffing is an issue at lots of restaurants but my poor server was running around frantically serving multiple tables. She was so sweet. I also saw several waiters just hanging out. I don't know if they were maybe monitoring something but it looked like the workload was not properly spread out.

This past Saturday, we had our wedding and reception at the Columbus Grill. From our first meeting with the manager, Anna, we have been impressed. The food delicious, the service impeccable, and the venue beautiful. If you are in the market for a reasonably priced venue for a reception, wedding, party, check out the Grill. Thank you Columbus Grill staff for making our wedding magical!!

Me and my fiancée threw our engagement party at the banquet hall and it was a blast. Appetizers, food, drinks, decoration, seating organization, host, waitresses. Everything was great. For our appetizers we had bacon wrapped shrimp, chicken crostini, seafood empanada, and calamari. Each item was delicious, with the standout for me being the bacon wrapped shrimp and the seafood empanadas. The entrees were equally good with the garlic glazed chicken, roast beef, chicken Alfredo, and fish filets. Everything was homemade and delicious. I'm soooo glad I had my party here. However, none of this would be possible without Ana. She was the mvp and made sure everything ran smoothly and I can't thank her enough for such a memorable night.

We had our wedding here about two weeks ago and we couldn't have made a better choice. Ana was very helpful, we had a lot of questions and she made time to help us plan accordingly. We had about 70 guests and all of them really enjoyed the food and there was even some left to take to go! The waitresses were attentive the whole night refilling drinks, cleaning plates, and refilling food. Everything came out so beautiful with the help of Ana, she even brought decorations in from home to make it look amazing. Do not hesitate to book events or eat here because the food and service is amazing. I am extremely happy with how everything turned out.

Huge space with plenty of seating in the main dining room and bar area. They have a great Happy Hour selection available in the bar area. The food is quite tasty as well. Some of my personal recommendations would be the Bitoque, Francesihna, Portuguese salad, and Tropical salad. The dressing for the Tropical salad is so yummy! Honestly, their salads are so good here, I feel like you can't go wrong with any salad you pick. The staff members are very accommodating and warm. I've never had a bad experience with service. You can see how much the manager really cares about the business and customers by the way she interacts with the guests and staff members.

It is a $24.95 flat price offering an appetizer, entree and dessert for that price. (Only available Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday from 5-6:30 pm). There were about 6 choices each for appetizers and entrees and 3 for dessert. My companion had a mussel appetizer and I had French Onion soup. My soup was a great example of the classic preparation. Bubbly and browned cheese over a deeply flavorful broth of onions and a slice of French bread. My companion loved the mussels. As to the entree I had what was called Beef Diane, a twist on the classic Steak Diane. It consisted of tips of filet in a delicious gravy flavored with cognac. My companion had Rainbow Trout and was very happy with it. For dessert we both had cheesecake with strawberry sauce. A good example of a New York style cheesecake. Both entrees were served with well cooked mixed vegetables. The portions were not a scaled down size but normal size. The meal comes with fresh baked toasted bread served warm. Delicious. The service was attentive which was to be expected because there were only 3 tables occupied. A complimentary shot of a what I think was kahlua was served at the end of the meal. The atmosphere is lots of dark wood and a classic bar. Great food and a great experience. Don't pass up this great value!!

Carmello's and Monza in Manassas, VA, are sister restaurants and are owned by the same company. Both establishments are owned by Alice Pires. Carmello's opens at 5 PM. We were the first customers to arrive. A second and third group of customers arrived about 5-10 minutes after us. They offered us a table for four in the center. I requested a booth, which they obliged me. We were seated to the right side in a nice booth. We noticed the movable wall was closed between the two sections of the restaurant. I assume they had fewer customers than last time, when we were here on Mothers Day. The restaurant was packed on Mothers Day. I enjoyed my two Black Stags up with Makers Mark, bitters, lemon juice, blackberry syrup and soda for $13 each or $26 for both. I also enjoyed my seafood linguine pescatora for $46. I was charged a 3% credit card surcharge. My total bill was $297 excluding gratuity. Javier V. served us very well although a bit slow at times considering the fact the place was not packed with customers. I would rate this place slightly less than my last rating of 4 stars down to 3.5 stars. More to come regarding our flights tomorrow from IAD to ORD.

Service was great and attentive throughout with multiple waiters serving our table and the space is beautiful and cozy. It wasn't too crowded around 5:30 when we came and wasnt too busy overall. We left a little before 8 and it never got too loud or too crowded. I think walking in without a reservation would be fairly easy. They have a great cocktail list and I really enjoyed mine! It was a unique cherry and almond flavored drink while my friend went for a cucumber type drink. Both great. We shared 4 tapas which were surprisingly quite large and ended up being plenty for the both of us. We did patatas bravas, mushroom croquettes, fried manchego, and calamari. The tapas were good/average but nothing to rave about. Our bill came to about $120 which is probably about standard now but felt overpriced for what we got. They do a 20% service charge with 5% being operational and only 15% going to staff. Not my favorite...I dont mind a service charge but burying an operational charge into it made us confused on whether the expectation was to still tip or not. I wish restaurants were more transparent about this. I wouldn't come back for a full dinner but drinks were nice and service was great so I'd consider spotting in for a happy hour if in the area. Worth a try overall. I hope they consider giving their servers the full 20% of the service charge. 5% for operations should really be baked into the prices or otherwise listed separately.

The staff were friendly, attentive and provided great service. The first place I've been where they poured Gray Goose in my glass in front of me. Fantastic! The decor inside was beautiful and my favorite color, green. The pictures on the wall and the colorful drapes with wood accents made it very spanish and kund of historical lookimg. The food was amazing! We ordered the octopus off the main menu and 2 items off a June experice menu. The octopus tasted smoked to me. I ordered because based on what I read about the restaurant I felt they would do it well.. and they did! The potatoes needed a touch of salt for us, but we are salt people. The Croquetas were so creamy and delicious with the garlic shrimp. The cream cheese on the toast set off the flavors of the carleized onions and whisky reduction pork. The coup de grâce was the Cheesecake desset. It was warm and a combo of airy and dense. The granny smith apples on the side were tart and pallet clensing. So good! We also received shirtbread cookies and a chocolate cookie thing that were delicious! The prices are on the expensive side, but definitely worth it. Great place for sharung and date night.

You have a choice between AYCE or by the pound. I know last time I came I got AYCE but honestly I don't eat that much anymore, so by the pound is more cost effective for me. There also are two different prices based on whether you want BBQ + sushi with your buffet. (Sushi??? I'll stick to BBQ when going Brazilian.) I tried to sample small amounts of the dishes on the buffet and then got some picanha and another steak cut (maminha). Both BBQ cuts were very good - I liked the maminha more. (Fraldihna is my usual favorite, and it's kind of similar to the maminha.). They had a chicken with capers that was probably my favorite of the buffet dishes. The stroghanoff wasn't bad. Some of the other meat dishes on the buffet were a bit dry. I got a mystery empanada which turned out to be guava & cheese, if it had been warmed it would have been better. I love guava, but there was just a little small rectangle of guava paste in the very center; probably 80% of the empanada had no filling. Similarly, the cheese bread balls were cold and hard. Those need to be right out of the oven to be worth it. It's a shame, they probably were good when they were first made but they weren't by the time I got to them. The potato salad was ok but the balance of mayo to potato & other veg was off (too much mayo). I had some fresh fruit too.
