    DEAD FROG

We recently hosted an event at Zaffron Restaurant, and unfortunately, the experience was highly disappointing. When we arrived at 11:30, the employee on duty was completely unaware of our booking, and the restaurant was still open to the public, with people seated at tables reserved for our private event. None of the setup we expected was in place; we had to do everything ourselves, from setting up the stage and couch to rearranging tables, putting on table covers, and even sweeping the floors. The cleanliness of the venue was unacceptable. We encountered dead frogs, cicadas (which likely have been there for 3 years), and spiders, and the floors and tablecloths were stained. This place is an HEALTH HAZARD!! Additionally, when we requested tea, the staff refused, claiming we still had an outstanding balance--even though we had settled it a week prior to the event. We also had to bring in a divider to hide the entrance, as this was an all-women's party, and the venue's setup did not offer any privacy from the public. Overall, Zaffron fell far short of expectations, failing to provide even the most basic event preparations and cleanliness. The service was absolutely horrendous especially the owner Atif who is a disgusting unprofessional scum who does not know how to run a business. Not only was he trying to scam us into paying more money for RESCHEDULING the date not even canceling, but he was degrading me as a woman saying how "I should not talk this is a man to man conversation". Overall this place deserves negative 0 stars! I don't even know how it's still in business. We do not recommend anyone to this place! They are just so unprofessional, rude, and DIRTY!

Ordered food through their online portal last week, got a confirmation email, text and progress monitor just to arrive and find out no one had checked the online orders.... Smh. Ended up waiting another 30 mins while they cooked the food and went home with a load of hopeful optimism. Luckily the hour delay to my dinner was worth it cause the actual food was plentiful and delicious! If they can get their act together on customer service, this place has great potential.

But once I took my first bite, I was hooked. Hands down, this was the best gyro/pita-style sandwich I've ever had! I ordered a mix of lamb, chicken, falafel, and gyro meat, and every single bite was incredible. The flavors were bold, the meat was perfectly seasoned, and the sauces were out of this world. The bread, which was similar to naan, took everything to the next level--it was soft, warm, and perfect for wrapping up all that deliciousness. If you're looking for authentic, flavorful food that will blow your expectations out of the water, don't skip this place. It may not look like much, but trust me, it's worth it! I'm already planning my next visit.

Overall, if chicken kabobs were on the Cheesecake Factory menu, this version would be on the skinnylicious menu for those counting calories and preferring a healthier less indulgent version since flavors seem muted and textures appear lacking due to insufficient oil/grease.

The sauce is rich, perfectly spiced, and honestly just off the charts. It's amazing to scoop up with their naan, which is soft, fresh, and seriously delicious. You could easily get this just for yourself and have leftovers for later, or bring someone along and share. The portion size is really generous and the price is very fair for what you get. This is hands down the best lamb karahi I've had. I used to go to Ravi Kabob House for karahi, but now Kabob and Karahi is definitely my new go-to spot. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and service is quick. My wife and daughter ordered the lamb and chicken kabobs and were both super happy with their meals too. Everything we tried was tasty and affordable. The restaurant itself is clean, cozy, and has plenty of seating, which makes it a great place to dine in. Definitely worth coming back to try more dishes!

The family that owns this quaint restaurant is from Karachi, so this is authentic Pakistani cuisine, not the typical flavorless kabob joint! They have a interesting menu with all the typical grilled and curried favs. I tried their chicken karahi (A.K.A. Chicken Qarai) and asked for it spicy and it was perfect! Lots of nice spice flavor, as well as decent heat. I also opted for their chicken biryani and it was spot-on! The chicken in it was flavored excellently and tender too, definitely not over-cooked and the rice was the proper texture, not too moist and gummy. There was so much food, I took half home and saved room for dessert, as they have home made kheer here. The kheer was really really good!! They're working on getting their food delivery set up too... It was a Friday night and we called in advance to see if there would be tables. Came in and goodness, the waiter or whoever working, it was tall guy with glasses, was very rude. Not welcoming at all. It wasn't where they came to you and take your order but we had to go to the register and place the other and that's fine. My family and I were situating what we wanted and my brother went to place the order. The same tall guy with glasses took our order. After my brother finished giving the order, my brother asked if the order can be repeated to be sure he didn't miss anything. As the waiter was repeating it, my brother didn't hear one item and asked if he could repeat it again. The waiter looked so annoyed and told my brother he needs to start hearing better... my brother addressing him respectful and told the waiter to relax and they both could have a respectful interaction. We were ordering almost $300 of food so if $300 was nothing to them, we could've taken our money elsewhere and had a good time. However my parents don't eat anything but Desi hence we let it go. The food started to come out. Food looked amazing and enjoyed every bit of it, even ordered for take out. I think another thing they could work out is stop feeding customers in foam papers. The plates are so flimsy and broke on me once. The inside of the restaurant was a nice place. Definitely shows their country and heritage. After we finished eating and it was time to pay, a sweet lady at the register was helping my brother out but because there was a couple of tables with the same name, she got confused about our order. And my brother was trying to repeat the items we ordered. Then the tall guy stepped in, more attitude and rudeness. I love the food. But I would never want to sit there and be serviced in person. I rather do takeout and avoid that rude man. Other than that their food is great. Do try!!
