The front desk staff member at Zafron Restaurant was rude and unprofessional. He did not show proper respect to customers, and his customer service was very poor. At one point, when my friend and I mentioned that we had been waiting a long time for our food, a staff member responded sarcastically, saying, "We can't give you a ride in a car to bring your food." We recently hosted an event at Zaffron Restaurant, and unfortunately, the experience was highly disappointing. When we arrived at 11:30, the employee on duty was completely unaware of our booking, and the restaurant was still open to the public, with people seated at tables reserved for our private event. None of the setup we expected was in place; we had to do everything ourselves, from setting up the stage and couch to rearranging tables, putting on table covers, and even sweeping the floors. The cleanliness of the venue was unacceptable. We encountered dead frogs, cicadas (which likely have been there for 3 years), and spiders, and the floors and tablecloths were stained. This place is an HEALTH HAZARD!! Additionally, when we requested tea, the staff refused, claiming we still had an outstanding balance--even though we had settled it a week prior to the event. We also had to bring in a divider to hide the entrance, as this was an all-women's party, and the venue's setup did not offer any privacy from the public. Overall, Zaffron fell far short of expectations, failing to provide even the most basic event preparations and cleanliness. The service was absolutely horrendous especially the owner Atif who is a disgusting unprofessional scum who does not know how to run a business. Not only was he trying to scam us into paying more money for RESCHEDULING the date not even canceling, but he was degrading me as a woman saying how "I should not talk this is a man to man conversation". After seeing this restaurant (and having a passion for Pakistani food) I came here to grab lunch one day. I tried to order via their website, but at the end of the sale, it never asked for the credit card and seemed to error-out, so I called them. They said their site doesn't fully work yet, so they took the order over the phone and told me it would be 15 minutes to get it ready for pickup. Well, I got there 15 minutes later and still waited 20 minutes for our food to be prepared and brought out to us. I will say that this place is BEAUTIFUL on the inside! It's a gigantic dining room made for big gatherings and banquets and it's perfectly remodeled and stunning! As for the food, it's decent... Not the bets I've had, but good. Their naan was decent, their paratha was boring and had no "paratha" qualities to it. Boneless chicken tikka was on point! Nicely marinated and flavored. Samosa chaat was good, but not the best I've had. Shaami kabob was ok too... spice was really good and the texture was on point, but the overall flavor wasn't quite what I was used to. Yogurt chutney was decent, but again, not the best. I will definitely give them another try. This trip proved that they definitely have acceptable Pakistani eats (and yes, I'm picky when it comes to this food because I was raised on it and am very adept to enjoying authentic Pakistani street food from various regions of Pakistan. Ordered Zaffron on Uber eats tonight and to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. Firstly, on Uber eats the price of a butter chicken is $24.99. On their website it is only $16.99 which is an insane markup on Uber for no reason. Secondly, every other Indian restaurant I've ever ordered from (which is a lot!) have given rice with their entrees but Zaffron does not give you rice with your $25 order. That's insane to me. My family and I have ordered catering from here on two separate occasions and both times we were disappointed with the service. They first off didn't have our order ready and told us that they didn't even see our order in their system even though we went into the store one week before to place the order in person. It's pretty ridiculous, nonetheless they ended up finding our order after wasting our time for about 20min while we waited then they didn't provide serving utensils and said they would need to charge us for plastic serving utensils they were giving us. The food was okay but nothing worth the amount they charge for food in comparison to better kabob spots but the location was convenient so that is why we gave them a second chance, anyways, save your time if you want food from a place that is more organized and the back of the house kitchen area also looked really dirty and not well maintained so we never returned since our second catering order. Today I was invited by my friend for iftaari at Zaffron. When I reached I saw plenty of parking infront of the restaurant. This is a big and organized restaurant. Since its ramadan, restaurant offers buffet, which was neatly set near the wall. Sheraz welcomed us warmly and made us seat where our hosts were waiting. There were several appetizer offerings, including chaat, dahi baray, russian salad, chicken pakora, potato samosa, fruit salad. Appetizers all were great and flavorful. We also were offered very vast variety of dinner items including haleem, nihari, chicken broast, chicken tikka, kabobs, karii, daal, choolay and much more. For dessert we had very delicious kheer. Not only that the food was never short, because service was excellent and they didn't let the food ran out in the dishes. Not only food we were offered lemonade, rohafza, water, tea and soda. I have not seen this much variety of food any where. We really had an awesome time and we will return for sure. I highly recommend this place specially during ramadan for buffet. read more

It took longer than expected for the restaurant to cook the food and then forever for it to be delivered (not the restaurants fault). We ordered chicken karahi, lamp chops, beef kobeida, chicken tikka skewers, keema naan, and several regular naan. The lamb chops, beef kobeida, and keema naan all three had a very strong gamey taste. The Keema naan were so bad that you could literally smell the gamey; what we in Urdu/Punjabi refer to as "cHaan wala gosht". It was horrendous, we could not even tolerate a second bite. Both the chicken tikka skewer and chicken karahi were sub-par, would not order ever again. Last but not least, the raita was literally running water, it was so thinned out. I hate to say this for a Muslim business, but this is probably the worst Pakistani/Afghani food we have had. I catered food from this restaurant recently for a small family gathering and it was by far the worst experience I have had. The food was down right disgusting. Not only was it stale and old, but also had a repulsive stench. Also, the naan were so undercooked that there was raw dough stretching from the middle as you tried to tear it in half.
