I am in the area to visit my friends often. I recently came across this place while googling for Indian food near my friend's house. They have authentic South Indian food which is very hard to find. Lamb biryani was very delicious. It's Hyderabadi style dum biryani. Not too spicy. Goes very well with the raitha and the curry. Dosa was very good as well. Highly recommend this place. Prices are better than other places. They have a very small sit down place at the India bazaar. It is a self service place. read more

This small eatery is located inside India Bazaar. While shopping for groceries, the smell of the food was too good to resist, so I grabbed a Mysore masala dosa and an onion chilli masala dosa. The dosas were Huge! But,the taste was just average. The sambar was disappointingly bland and lacked any real flavor. On the plus side, the coconut chutney was quite tasty, and the tomato chutney was on the spicy side and decent. However, there were a couple of major issues. First, the plates were ridiculously small for the enormous dosas, causing them to hang over the edges and touch the table - not very hygienic. Second, there was no drinking water available! A food establishment without water is simply unacceptable. Lastly, the service was subpar-ordering was via kiosk, but staff were disinterested and packing up by 7:45 pm on a Saturday. read more

Actually delicious! Ended up getting the masala Dosa with all the chutneys and the sambar. They did not hold back. The crepe was extremely crispy full of stuffing. It was almost too much food and I couldn't finish it. The chutneys are very heavy. I especially like the orange one which was extra spicy and it is located inside the India Bazaar. Until one of my friends pointed it out to me. I never would have realized it was there even though it was right in front of my face lol You go to the counter and order and then they either bring you your food or you pick it up at the counter. It is bare Bones service so just keep that in mind. It is not a restaurant experience by any means. For the price of $10, really there's nothing to complain about. When I go shopping here I definitely plan to shop and dine yet again! My friend also told me their biryani is on point so I might try that in a future visit. read more

Buryani Point has lots of different kinds of biryanis and you can get a bucket of biryani for a great price! I really like the Vegetable Dum Biryani. From the list of curries, I find the South Indian options to be their strength and the Chicken Chettinad was really good! I would steer away from North Indian creamy sauces like what you would normally find in an Indian restaurant and explore other delicious options. This restaurant is located within the India Bazaar grocery store, and I was thankful to find it because by the time I finished grocery shopping I was craving some Indian food. I ordered the idly and a mysore masala dosa. The idly was good - good texture and the accompanying sauces were delicious. The dosa was well-made and massive! I loved how crunchy the outside was, but how chewy it was on the inside. My only mistake was ordering the mysore masala version - it was incredibly spicy, the inside completely lined with red chilis. In the future, I would order a different dosa just to save me some sweating and tears The sambar served with the idly was also some of my favorite sambar I've had. Flavorful, not too rich or heavy. My only complaint was that while my food came out quickly, my friend's food took a very long time to arrive. I can't wait to return on another grocery store run and try something else! read more

It is located inside Indian Bazaar. I originally came here to do some grocery shopping and didn't even realize they had a restaurant inside. I decided to place an order for Hyderabadi Dum Goat Biryani, Daal, and Chicken Chilli. The Chicken Chilli was absolutely delicious! The restaurant was not very crowded when I arrived to pick up my order, so the service was quick and smooth. Once I got home and tried everything, I was genuinely impressed. Here's how I would rate each dish: Chicken Chilli: 5/5 Biryani: 4.5/5 Daal: 4/5 The Chicken Chilli stood out the most. It features crispy fried chicken pieces tossed in a spicy, tangy sauce made with soy sauce, green chilies, garlic, and bell peppers. The flavors were bold, with the perfect balance of heat, sweetness, and a slight smokiness from being wok-fried. In terms of pricing, I highly recommend this place. I'm surprised to see negative reviews because our experience with Biryani point at India bazaar in Fairfax has always been so positive. We have tried multiple things from the menu and been pleased with the highlight being the Gongora chicken boneless biryani. Their appetizers, including chili chicken and Gobi Manchurian are also great. We always get quicker and it is well priced. This is definitely more of a takeout spot or grab and go rather than dine in but we are always pleased when ordering from them through Uber Eats or DoorDash read more

Hidden gem inside of the grocery store. Our food took awhile to prepare but it was fresh and flavorful. We tried the chicken tikki masala and it was savory and creamy then my husband got a lamb biryani and it had a lot of meat chunks. We will be trying more! read more

Whilst visiting India bazaar this week, I learnt that they have cleared up a small area in the middle of the supermarket for biryani pointe, the cashier informed me that they did snacks and daily thalis, I was soo excited to try it out Friday night after coming home from work. I ordered a masala dosa, a meat and a veg thali, boy was I disappointed at what I got. The masala dosa had lots of hard stone like burnt pieces, after a few mouthfuls I tossed that out. The meat and the veg thalis were also a big disappointment with everything cold, chicken 65, some dry noodles dish, a curry with what looked like paneer kofta, tasted old, shop brought naan on the side, will not be visiting anytime soon. read more

The biryani was severely lacking on anything not rice. You can tell they cheaped out because the paneer, chicken, and goat biryanis had barely anything in them other than rice. They fill the boxes with rice so it seems like you're getting a lot, but it's essentially just rice. There were maybe a couple bites of the respective proteins in each of the biryanis. At first I was confused that this restaurant was part of the "paradise biryani pointe" chain...but turns out this one's different. However, you'd be forgiven for thinking it's the same given their biryani is stellar and as good as that chain. Also tried the Gobi manchurian and shahi paneer, both which I would highly recommend. I wanted butter chicken and a side of naan. First, the person said they couldn't take my order because it was too late. Then I said it's clearly stated on the website that you guys close at 9 PM. Chantilly Location: As an individual who is very picky when it comes to restaurant service, I can assure you that the fact that this place may not contain seating is no remark of the delicious and non-forgettable experience that you have when you just enter this world of paradise. I initally made an uber eats order one day for my family because we were craving a biryani experience. We came upon this restaurant, and I have to admit that my initial hopes were not high. We go to India Bazaar regularly and I have seen the restaurant many times. I was very hesitant to order from here because I noticed the menu options were limited and there was no seating at all, which led me to wonder, "How can a restaurant that looked like this from the outside perhaps be good in taste?" That all changed the second that I took a bite out of the glimmering paneer 65. The paneer 65 was marinated to the perfect consistency and was not too saucy or crunchy like some other restaurants. The quantity is also extremely reasonable and our meal overall was more than enough to feed the 3 of us. A similar experince goes with the veg dum biryani. There is a perfect balance of vegetables, masala, and white rice. This is probably the best biryani that I have ever tasted in Herndon where I live, and to this day, almost 8 months later, I am still struggling to find a restaurant that beats this. The veg hakka noodles is sometimes a little off-balance with consistency, becuase I feel there is sometimes too much "mav," or batter in it. However, it still receives a solid four stars and the overall review certainly deserves a solid 7, if only I could do so. I certainly believe that this restaurant has a huge potential in the long run and hope to see it one day in the bustling streets of New York City, with a line of customers waiting a mile outside the restaurant just for such an authentic experience read more
