Food was good, but the experience was confusing. The naan was huge -- much larger than we expected and definitely a highlight. We ordered the chicken korma and butter chicken at different spice levels. Just a heads-up: the spice scale leans very American-mild, so if you actually want heat, order a 3 or higher. That said, service and communication were off. When we walked in, none of the tables were cleaned, and we were told the kitchen was closing in 15 minutes, even though we arrived about 2 hours before their posted closing time. It felt rushed and unexpected. Because it's family-owned, it's possible they had something going on (Friday night, maybe closing early), but there were no signs posted and no notice online, so we had no way of knowing beforehand. Would come back for the food, but clearer communication and a more welcoming front-of-house experience would make a big difference. read more

Pretty good ambiance, food and service. Also enjoyed listening to some music hits from Billboard of late 2000s and some chill vibes music. I had Palak Paneer, salted lassi. Also they let me pick between rice and naan. I asked for Roti instead, and also can request it to be buttered. They also serve fresh sugarcane juice ! read more

Friend really likes Bombay Bites. In mood for Indian (esp with hubs out of town who isn't a fan). Casual spot with mostly booths. Service was very unorganized- they seemed overwhelmed even tho it wasn't packed. Lots of options, wished menu had descriptions- we had to google some dishes. Food was ok - lamb was dry, good flavor, just not outstanding. Masala tea was good, enjoyed it more than the food read more

My wife and I have yet to find an Indian food place that tops this one and we've been to a lot. Also, we live an hour and 15 minutes away and will drive all the time for the consistently amazing food. Good portions and great prices. We've tried almost everything by now and I've never been disappointed. Even received recommendations from the manager whom always greets us with such love. It's our anniversary today and we are making sure we stop in! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

All day business meeting in Chantilly, done at dinner time. I choose Bombay Bites in Centreville from Yelp rating and location in strip shopping center. Good service and food, extensive menu. I had Aloo Gobi to compare with same I had earlier in the week. Good, not as good, but flavorful. I also had samosas, delicious. I would return. read more

Great food! We ordered take away online which was very easy. We got the butter chicken, baingan bharta, tikki paneer, garlic naan and samosas. Loved all of the food, especially the butter chicken. It came with rice as well. They were running a promotion to spend $50 and get free fries. We weren't aware of it when ordering and they still have us some fries covered in some sort of tomato sauce, which were also delicious. The price is incredibly fair for the quality of food. The only frustrating thing was the timing, the food took 15 minutes longer to the prepare than the estimate given when ordering. We checked out the bakery next door so it wasn't too big of a deal. read more

We came to Bombay Bites Restaurant for lunch on a Thursday around noon. The restaurant is a bit dated but spacious and clean. There was plenty of parking, which made it convenient to visit. At first, we were concerned since the place was nearly empty--only two tables, including ours, were occupied. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the experience. The waitress was friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome and well cared for. We ordered the garlic naan, lamb curry, and chicken dosa. Everything was flavorful--the naan was fresh and crispy, and the lamb curry was rich and tender. The chicken dosa was tasty as well, though a bit too salty for our preference. They don't offer a lunch menu, which might explain the low foot traffic. Perhaps introducing a lunch special could help attract more diners during the midday hours. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal, and we'd consider coming back to try other dishes. read more

Cons: You couldn't feel the ac, it was warm. We ordered water and it was warm. We ordered the butter chicken and the shrimp curry. Neither dish was good. My first and last visit. The food was terrible. Pros: bread was good but for $1.99 you don't get much. Rice was good. The service was okay read more

We tasted their food at our friends house inMclean VA. Loved their Aloo Tilki chana with all the delicious condiments .Their Small buns with pattie was a joy to fry and very similar to the Aloo tikki. They had two kinds of Biryani Veg and chicken. That was not good at all .Loved their Jalebi's. read more

A hidden gem! The service and hospitality was excellent. Our server was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. Very affordable prices here! Probably one of the lowest price points I've seen for a nice sit-down Indian restaurant. We got to enjoy the Butter Chicken, Malai Kofta Mix, Masala Dosa, Palak Paneer, and Garlic Naan. All were so flavorful and generous portion! The dosa was HUGE and very crispy. It came with 3 sauces, and honestly I only liked one. We also got to enjoy a Mango Lassi (very yogurty and tangy). They even gave each of us (5 of us!) complimentary small rice pudding!! It was very cardamom heavy so definitely not for everyone. read more

I ordered delivery from here, so definitely more expensive than I would normally pay, but I knew that. We got a medium chicken tikka masala and two orders of garlic naan, which was enough for two people. The naan was much bigger than expected, wrapped in tinfoil. I think it could've done with more garlic. The tikka masala was also good; nothing stood out about it, but it was not spicy to us. They wrapped it up tightly in plastic wrap, which was much appreciated. Overall, a solid Indian spot that will hit the spot. read more

My fiance and I absolutely love this restaurant. The butter chicken packs a punch with exploding flavors and it's always fresh and steaming upon pickup. I wish the meals came with more rice but an extra order fixes that. The garlic naan and cheesy naan are amazing with the sauce! The sauces they offer from the raita yogurt to the tamarind are so tasty to pair with your meal. Service is very knowledgeable and kind. They have always given me suggestions or recommendations that we are always thrilled to try. The spinach paneer is also a great side! This is one of our go to spots! read more

This is the spot if you are looking to satisfy that craving for Indian food in Centreville. The food and service is top notch. First, the restaurant is beautifully decorated and the staff is extremely friendly. They are willing to offer recommendations for any newbies or if you are looking to try something new. We weren't sure what to get so of course we got a little bit of everything. The chicken vindaloo was by far my favorite because it packs a ton of flavor and spice. Highly recommend for everyone! The butter chicken is good too if you are looking for a sweet curry. The chicken tikka masala is a good in between that will satisfy everyone's taste palette... even the pickiest eaters. It's well worth a try.. can't wait to be back! read more

I dined in but notice this restaurant has many people doing take out orders! The staff was friendly and I have been craving Indian food so was very excited to eat Mango lassi - 3.5/5 nice balance of yogurt and mango! Maybe cause it's not mango season but it wasn't as sweet as I thought it would be but still very good Veggies samosa - 4/5 so hot, not too thick crust and flavorful yummy filling Garlic naan - 3/5 a little tough but good Butter chicken - 3.5/5 sauce was very yummy but heavy. I asked for spicy but it wasn't spicy so maybe extra spicy next time. I liked the sauce but the chicken was dry read more

This was a wonderful experience. The waitress was delightful, helped us order and just had a really nice attitude. We ordered too much food and could barely put a dent in it. I ordered the mango lassi which was fantastic. We also got the samosa chaat, which was not what I was expecting but amazingly good. We took the leftover sauce home bc just too good to waste. Really complex flavors. My husband had butter chicken and I had the vindaloo, both very good. Excellent garlic naan. We will enjoy the rest of all of this tomorrow, and I bet it will be even better. The menu is extensive, and I look forward to tasting many more things! Oh, and don't forget the rice pudding. Delicious. Can't wait to come back! read more

This place is such a gem, and I'm so thankful I live nearby. This is my go-to for Indian food! I love their lamb biryani and have ordered it twice in the past. The last time I was there, my fiancé told me to try something new (because my instinct is to order it again)... but I decided on the mysore masala dosa. It was seriously so good (& spicy)! Also, it was HUGE. Admittedly, I havent had that many dosas in my life, but I will think fondly of this one for a while. My table and I also shared some of the rice pudding, a perfect not-too-sweet dessert to end the meal. I appreciated the service, too. They are always so nice here! When my fiancé and I unknowingly ordered a similar dish, our waiter informed us that the flavor profiles were really similar if we were sharing our dishes. I felt looked out for at that moment and welcomed his comment. read more

This place is consistently amazing! They never disappoint! I had the mulligatawny soup again - just most incredibly delicious soup. And today I tried a new appetizer - the honey garlic shrimp - so wonderful ! I really like that they include plenty of nicely cooked tender garlic with the shrimp. I ended up "sharing" the shrimp with my wife so I had to order more shrimp which quickly arrived! Everything I've ordered from here has been wonderful, I think I'll continue to explore more of the menu on my next visit. read more

We stopped in for dinner and split the shrimp biryani and butter chicken with a side of garlic naan. This is the first time that I had a good biryani that wasn't lamb. The extra spicy was super spicy and delightful. The butter chicken was very delectable as well. And although you might think that all naan is the same, it is not. They get their garlic naan right here and that's why it's worth mentioning-- the texture and thickness were perfect. read more

This is my go-to place when I'm craving Butter Chicken and garlic naan! The flavors are consistently spot-on, and the quality never disappoints. We've eaten here quite a few times now, and every single dish has been bursting with flavor. The dosas are an absolute must-try--they're a total show-stopper! Whether you're a dosa fan or trying them for the first time, they're sure to impress with both presentation and taste. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable, with lots of booth seating that makes it perfect for casual meals or dinner with friends and family. The staff is always very nice and welcoming, which adds to the overall great experience. Amazing food! I loved my butter chicken and my husband loved his chicken coconut curry. The butter chicken was so flavorful and delicious, I just wish I had more of the sauce (I'll have to ask for extra next time). We also had the garlic naan which was fresh and tasty. We tried the vegetarian samosas and they were pretty good as well. We ordered another appetizer at the recommendation of the waitress called fish Pakora and although I enjoyed the flavor and it was definitely fresh, it wasn't really for me. But I would still recommend it to anyone who enjoys fried fish dishes. Also ordered lemon rice on the side (they only have big portions) and it was fresh and delicious! The portion sizes are huge though so you can definitely share with at least one other person, and have leftovers to take home. We got full pretty quickly so we took the rest in boxes but we will definitely be eating the leftovers for a few days. This is great though because it's like you're getting 2-3 meals for the price of one in my opinion. The waitress was kind and helpful and brought the food out quickly. It was always piping hot, and fresh and presented well. To my surprise as we were getting our food packed up we each were served a complimentary portion of their whole wheat Kheer, a sweet rice pudding like dish which was just fantastic and the perfect ending to our meal. Thank you everyone at Bombay Bites for a wonderful meal and service! Will definitely be coming back. read more

What a great find! Bombay Bites is located in the Centreville Square Shopping Center. This Indian restaurant offers an extensive menu, offering items such as veg and non-veg appetizers, soups, salads, tandoori specialties, chicken/lamb/goat/seafood/vegetarian entrees, biryani, dosa, and breads. We came here for an early lunch, and we ordered: +Butter Chicken - we had this at a mild level; it was more on the sweeter end, but the taste was super savory and yummy; the curry was thick and creamy, and the bits of tandoori chicken inside was plentiful +Chicken Curry - we had this at a mild level; the curry was thick and creamy, with generous amount of chicken +Garlic Naan - this came out super piping hot; it was pillow-y soft, super buttery, and had lots of garlic on it - it was tasty! We also tried the Gulab Jamun, which also came super piping hot; one of the best gulab jamuns I've had! Decadent, but not overly syrupy sweet; a perfect way to end the meal! I'd love to try their tikka masala and their tandoori specialties on the next visit! Service was super friendly, kind, and welcoming. So I will say I do like my food however I have a couple of issues... I wanted both of my dishes to be spicy and they was not! I got the shrimp karma and the shrimp tikka. I wish they would take off the shells on the tails of the shrimp. I will say The dish is quite oily. The garlic knot was good and thick, but I don't know if it was something warmed up because it was rubbery. I would give them another chance. I haven't tried my Samosa yet because I'm full. read more

There was literally roach in the food. I'm so sick right now. I can't believe I just ate a huge serving of roach butter chicken. Beware unless you're fine with the extra extra protein. It's obviously extremely dirty in that kitchen. Not sure how they didn't check that. Never again. read more

Ordered dinner tonight - Butter Chicken and Tandoori Salmon with shrimp appetizer, garlic naan and regular naan. $80.00. Extremely small portions after having ordered the "Large size" for an extra $4.99. Naan was oddly chewy and difficult to break through in a normal bite. Flavors on the main dishes were good until i found a nice long black hair, in my mouth, after taking a bite of the salmon (which was basically three small pieces each for my wife and I). We never even touched the appetizer after finding a hair in our mains. We will absolutely NOT be ordering from or dining with this restaurant again. WAY overpriced and tiny portions, with obviously sketch food safety practices. Called the restaurant and was told to contact DoorDash, since weirdly my wife ordered through but went to pick up, jacking up the prices even more. So sad. We used to love this place, but not any more. I can make better at home, without hair, or find another place that still cares about the product they produce. read more

I grabbed dinner here with my cousin. We were actually very undecided on what to eat and both of us haven't had Indian food in a while so we landed at Bombay Bites. The food is so tasty and delicious. We ordered samosas, side of chick peas, butter chicken and palak paneer. The samosas had a good kick and full of flavor. Both the butter chicken and palak paneer were amazing! They were not skimping on the meat and paneer in each of the dishes. There was good amount of chicken and cheese which I liked because some restaurants give you very few pieces and all sauce. Everything was packed with flavor and it was so good! We also ordered the garlic naan and that paired well with the curry sauces. The meal was delicious and whenever I am in the area and crave Indian, I plan to stop by here. read more

Decent indian place! My favorite thing to get here is actually their mango lassi. Its one of the best ive had. I stick to their white meat dishes as the dark meat dishes sometimes have a meat-y taste for sensitive tasters like myself. Their naan is also consistently delicious! read more

My parents and I went here for lunch on a Monday. We got there pre-lunch rush. We were the only ones in there. I read some reviews, which seemed overall pretty good. Wow. It was really good. I mean, one of the best Indian places I have been in a while. Service was quick and cordial. I can't say friendly, but professional, responsive and timely. No service complaint at all. We got samosas, masala dosa, garlic naan, chicken vindaloo and shrimp biriyani. Everything came out piping hot, I mean steaming. It seemed to take about 20 seconds to get from the kitchen to our table. I am a dosa gal. I get one at every Indian place to take its measure by the dosa. When there is no dosa I am sad, but don't hold it against them. The dosa here was divine. Perfectly crunchy, well wrapped, enough filling to squish out a bit but not too much. It had a nice layer of heat to it. Honestly, nearly perfect. Dipping sauces were all excellent, especially the lentil one. Samosas were good. Perfect crunch outside, well spiced filling on the inside. The shrimp biriyani was excellent. Big tender shrimp, lush, soft rice with a good kick of spice and flavor. Dad loved his vindaloo. Big chunks of chicken and a good balance of spices and good amount of heat. Oh and the garlic naan. Have I used the word perfect too many times already? Everything was on point. Everything. Not one miss. Why it isn't full of people, I have no idea. Go here now. It's amazing. read more

What a find in the heart of Centreville! I love that it's so accessible from 66 and in the heart of Centreville proper. It's across the street from Lifetime Fitness. It's located in the corner of the strip mall next to Shilla Bakery and Five Guys. If you are looking for perfectly seasoned dishes that engage the full array of you palate. The appetizer that you have to get is Palak Chat! A beautifully flavored dish with fried spinach leaves with mango and chutney based sweet sauce. It's a cold dish but you will not regret it! The butter chicken is out of this world and is a perfect balance of sweet and buttery goodness. We also ordered the Tandori platter but I don't think I would order it again. The chicken tikka masala is also delicious! And can I tell you... the butter naan and garlic butter naan are sooooooo warm and delicious! Don't wait... make your way with your family! read more

Lovely dining experience that was left full and fulfilled. Crispy samosas topped with tangy yogurt, spicy chutneys, and fresh onions and cilantro. The combination of crunch from the samosas and the creaminess of the yogurt created a mouthwatering experience. The samosa chaat was an ideal starter that tantalized the taste buds. The Paneer Makhani was delicious and perfectly balanced the rich flavors and creamy texture. The paneer was cooked beautifully. The sauce was a little sweeter than usual, but otherwise was an absolute delicacy. The Chicken Saffron Curry was tender and fresh. The delicate blend of the spices served to create a delicious entree. The lachha Paratha was an immaculate accompaniment that elevated the meal. Its multiple flaky layers were perfectly achieved, offering a delightful crispiness on the outside while remaining soft inside. Overall, the food was very yummy. The service was kind and they even gave us dessert on the house. read more

My boyfriend and I have been wanting to try Indian food for a very long time but have not had the opportunity. We decided last minute on Bombay Bites since we were in the area and oh. my. IT WAS A "WOWZERS" for us. The food was incredibly delicious, flavorful and it hit every spot. I kid you not, we were both making that "yum" sound after every bite. We got the Samosas and Pani Puri to start off for appetizers and for our entrees, we got the Dosa and Tikka Masala to share. Here's a little secret - you can order cheese garlic naan! It's not on the menu, but we overheard our server telling another table and we went for it. If you don't like the sound of cheese on your naan, then try the regular garlic naan. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to try Indian food for the first time or just for a lunch date! Go, go, go!
