Been coming here for years, food and service is always superb! We had the daal makhani (5/5), paneer makhani (5/5), kesar malai kofta (5/5) and garlic naan (5/5). Both indoor and outdoor seating great, and they play some pretty good Bollywood/Hindi music.

The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cozy and chic, to set the tone for a flavorful experience ahead. I highly recommend ordering family-style! If you are in for lunch, highly recommend trying the lunch buffet or Thalis! The yellow curry crab was an absolute standout. Rich, creamy, and packed with just the right amount of spice, it was the kind of dish that made us pause mid-bite just to savor the layers of flavor. It's one of those rare dishes you find yourself thinking about days later. Right behind it in star power was the Bombay shrimp--crispy, tender, and coated in a sauce that was both tangy and subtly sweet. It had the kind of flavor that hits all the right notes and leaves you reaching for "just one more." The cherry on top? The service. Our server was not only attentive but genuinely warm--offering thoughtful suggestions and checking in with perfect timing. It's clear the staff cares deeply about both the food and the guest experience. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and it didn't go unnoticed. Bollywood Bistro is a gem--whether you're craving bold, vibrant dishes or just a welcoming place to enjoy a great meal. We'll definitely be back. Very good Indian food. We had lunch buffet. I liked the tandoori chicken and chicken tikka masala. They ran out of the tikka masala and didn't get back to another set while we were there. Good service. Nice interior - good for a family event or date night. At lunch several business types on lunch break. Would try again for entrees and maybe we will like even more.

First time trying Indian food and everything tasted really good! The mango juice was seriously SO SO good and I highly recommend trying it. The food came out promptly as well, THE GARLIC NAAN WAS SO SO SO GOOD!!! The only thing was the waitress was acting a little strange the entire time and when i asked her for recommendations she wasn't very helpful. Still giving 5 stars but did want to mention that

We'll start with the kudos: Our server Bikram was great- very professional and prompt when we needed something. Other servers and the bartender also rounded regularly to ensure our water cups were full and our adult beverages delivered. The restaurant is classy and has a nice ambience that would be good for a date night or girls night, but is also family friendly. The samosas and garlic naan were delicious. And everything was quite affordable. We spent about $70 after tip with appetizers, wine, and two main course dishes - which is pretty incredible in NOVA. We seldom go out to eat for less than $100. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the rest of the fare. I absolutely adore Indian food. I love how rich an savory and spicy it is. But my Daal Tadka was none of those things and even tasted a bit burned. I had even asked for extra spicy and it was not even a little bit. My husband was satisfied with his lamb curry, but we waited for our main course for nearly an hour - despite Bikram's attentiveness. All in all, we had a lovely time despite the wait but my main course was lackluster and not what I'm accustomed to when I'm in the mood for South Asian cuisine.

Consistently good food, and great service. I had to rush somewhere so ate dal makhani and clicked pictures while waiting, so sorry for no food photos but I owed them a review. I have been here multiple times, a good size menu, extensive drinks collection as well.

Came in for an early dinner on a wednesday night. We were welcomed and seated quickly. Staff was friendly and polite. The place was clean and classy. The food was good and comforting and flavorful. There was only me and my partner so they gave us one bowl of rice to share, WITH free refills. We definitely could've shared one dish, so the portions are generous. Over all decent spot! The mango lassi was pretty good too.

We chose Bollywood Bistro for our date night, and it turned out to be ONE OF THE BEST dining experiences we've ever had! I'd love to take a moment to share my honest review. Ambience: 10/10 The atmosphere was absolutely perfect--cozy, modern, clean, and still incredibly warm and inviting. It struck a beautiful balance that made us feel so relax. Service: 100/10 The service was exceptional from the moment we walked in. We were greeted and seated politely by the manager. He went above and beyond throughout the night. He was attentive, made great recommendations, and regularly checked in to make sure we were enjoying everything. The entire staff were friendly, welcoming, and on point. Each course drinks, appetizers, mains, and dessert, came out at just the right time, which let us truly relax and enjoy the meal without feeling rushed. Honestly, it was flawless. Food: 10/10 Every dish was outstanding! We had the vegetarian samosas, makhani paneer, butter chicken, tomato and cheese naan, and chicken biryani. They were all dangerously delicious. We left absolutely stuffed and completely satisfied! Cleanliness: 10/10 The restaurant was spotless. Everything from the silverware and plates to the glasses and napkins was pristine. You can tell they take cleanliness seriously, which made the experience even better. We can't say enough good things about this place and will definitely be back. Thank you Bollywood Bistro for such a memorable evening. Highly recommended!!!

Service was top notch tonight! Our server paid attention to the details, such as bringing out straws on a tray, refilling rice bowl for the curry before we asked for it, and double check all orders. I really enjoyed the butter chicken(the one next to the naan). The curry was very flavorful and the meat was well cooked. The Chicken Tikka Masala is always good, however this time the chicken was a little dry. It was a little tough to eat alone. My friends and I ordered a spicy Makhan Palak(the green one). It had a nice tingling feeling on the tongue, I like spicy but this was felt a little more spicy than what I'm used too. Nonetheless, the naan was a wonderful touch to bringing the taste together! Making it a wonderful experience. I passed by this location many times not realizing it was an Indian cuisine. The artworks around the restaurant were very interesting and pretty. Really liked the lights, they were aesthetically pleasing. It was a nice and comfy vibe.

The food was flavorful and had a good amount of spice to it. We picked up our food and it was quick/very easy. The person that helped us at the cash register was nice too. The restaurant had a great playlist going, I loved all the songs that were playing. There was plenty of parking available in the garage nearby. Chicken 65 was great, and the Garlic Naan paired well with the Chicken Tikka Masala. Chicken Biryani was also pretty good. Would love to come back here another time to try some other dishes!

I adore the Great Falls Bollywood Bistro and was excited to see what their Fairfax location had in store! Had a variety of their cocktails, which were amazing, but found their Tandoori platter to be a bit bland. The sear on the meats were delicious, but the spices seemed to be slapped onto the shrimp and chicken to the point where it was a bit overpowering. Perhaps since we came near closing this was an issue. Nonetheless, the staff was very accommodating and the ambiance was very romantic and charming. Loved the music! Will be back to this location to try more menu items and drinks again!

    kabob Kebab Platter for Two
    Joseph S.

There is a parking garage so you can park and walk to the restaurant. I will say that the Kabob platter for two is barely for one. I ordered additional dishes (garlic naan & lamb biryani) and my friend and I finished almost everything. Most things had no flavor. The price was pretty high considering the portions. The vibes inside were bougie and cute. The prices match the interior design but not the flavor of food. I would not come back. Service was good and they were attentive.

It has those above-and-beyond touches that let you know that extra care went into it: the meat and naan cooked in the tandoor oven always has just the right amount of brown; the vegetables have just the right amount of caramelization. The sauces are deep and flavorful. The gradation of spiciness is nicely linear -- you won't get surprised when you jump up one level. The plating and presentation is simple and delightful. There is quite a variety of mixed drinks on offer! My absolute favorite is the boozy chai. This one might be one of my favorite drinks of all time; it's very much like an apple cider with just the right kind of alcohol in it. It's warm, rich, deliciously spiced (not spicy, spiced), and it has a wonderful layer of foam on top. Definitely try this. To cap it all off, the service here is always impeccable. Good recommendations, excellent balance of presence and leaving us to our devices. We very much appreciate whenever we get to eat during Sujal's shift, so please pass along our thanks to him as well! This place is fantastic. I cannot praise it more. We will be moving away from the area in the coming months, and will be very sad to lose it has an option. If we're ever in the area again, we will not miss the opportunity to eat here! (For the record, I am not AI just because I used an em dash!)

I found this place at the base of a mixed use development. It had garage parking nearby. My chickpeas were spicy as ordered, and came with two nicely puffed breads, and an array of pickled onions with a fried chili pepper. It was a proper rendition of the dish. Someone else ordered the same thing and asked for extra salt to dump on the chickpeas, which just baffled me. The flavor was ample. I also ordered a chai, and while they call it a cutting chai (which I understand to mean cut in half in size), it was a decent amount and a nuanced mix of spices. The owner was a little odd and was making calls to various tables and being kind of pushy such that it made one little girl uncomfortable to the point where her party complained about it, which was acknowledged by staff. I would advise them to put the customer's well-being first, but neither I nor the offended parties would seem to have any compunctions about coming back for the food.

Unfortunately, each dish we tried was worse than the one before. Samosa was ok, although spicier than necessary. The Papdi Chaat was a mushy mess. The basmati Rice was good at least and the Garlic Naan was quite tasty that day although never reheated very well which was disappointing. And the Vegetable Korma, wow, that was by far the worst. It smelled and tasted more like veggie Alfredo than korma, and I don't mean that in a good way. I've had Korma at many Indian restaurants in the past and never, ever, ever had one this bad that caused both my wife and I to refuse to have any more after our first tries. All in all, as bad as the food was, I must say that I am most annoyed and disappointed not with the restaurant l, but rather with all of the positive and glowing reviews that the community previously had given this place.
