Dosa and North Indian food from lunch buffet
    Aarti B.

Great lunch buffet is a great deal for $25 especially on Fridays with lots of vegetarian and meat dishes and a Dosa station along with a Masala Chai station. I can easily see why the restaurant was packed and most tables were filled up. It was impressive to see so many vegetarian dishes like Kadhai Pakora, Dhal Bati, Saag Paneer, Choola, Gobi Manchurin, pakoras along with fluffy Batura and Naan. While all of the dishes were good, the Saag Paneer and Batura were the stand-outs! I enjoyed the fresh Dosa stuffed with aloo potato. Masala Chai with the Coconut Keer Rice Pudding was the perfect ending to our meal! I was delightfully stuffed at the end of the meal, and not regretfully like at most buffets! Excited to come back!

We had our granddaughters Rice ceremony here . They outdid themselves .The food was delicious . They had steady 15 plus entrees in their buffet . We had open bar . They never overcharged us .Very reasonably priced . Dosa , malabar fish curry , Biryani were just yummy and delicious . So many appetizers . Definitely coming back again .

Mother's Day was again a great spread. Perhaps a bit smaller than last year but prices for food have gone up but the overall pricing for the buffet remained the same. Owners awesome and made a point to greet everyone. Service was great and as soon as you finished you meal, plates were whisked away to be replaced by clean ones. Drings at the bar were included. All different varieties of food available and we could see everyone having a great time. Our favorite restaurant and worth the drive from Ashburn.

This place took a turn for the worst! I used to order food from here during Covid lockdown all the time. Tonight I ordered carry out, the rice portion is 1/4 of what it used to be. Barely half a cup of rice!! Also the lamb was real tough. This whole thing was $25, total rip off! I also ordered paneer matar (peas and cheese), which was also $20?!?! Tasted way bland, like they forgot to add spice and seasoning to it.

It's been years since I came here, since I no longer live in that area anymore, but we had the opportunity to come here and boy am I glad I did. While a little more on the pricey side, the food was delicious and portions were generous. In general, I've noticed lots of places charge regular price, but noticeably smaller portions than before COVID. I didn't get that feeling here. I ordered the Thali platter ($28). My son wasn't convinced the Thali ($10) on the kids menu was going to be enough, so we ordered the regular version of Butter Chicken ($20) which was much too much for him. Overall, I was very happy with the experience. Will try to come back next opportunity I have.

Very friendly service, the samosa chaat , biryani and naan were very good. I personally did not enjoy the tikka or Kati roll but everything else we tried was very good and flavorful.

This review is for Bombay Tandoor's lunch buffet. Bombay Tandoor tends to fill up with people shortly before noon. Their lunch buffet is clean and a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes are offered. Here is what you should know: 1) Tandoori chicken comes in bite-sized pieces and contains bones. My personal preference would be to serve larger pieces than smaller, meatball-sized ones. I took away one star for this reason. 2) The desserts today included a fruit custard and gulag jamun. Both were sweet. For some, they might be too sweet, but I liked them both. They helped cut the spiciness of some dishes. 3) Their butter chicken tastes wonderful. I used naan to capture every bit of the tasty sauce. This was my first time having their lunch buffet. I recommend this place and would return again.

One container of samosa (each order has three, so this container with 3 is one order) and one order of naan.

First, I didn't realize it was a sit down and order restaurant, I was used to short order. I was quickly seared and within a couple minutes one server had brought me water as well as fresh tandoori bread and a delicious spicy green sauce to go with it. A second server appeared quickly to take my order. I explained I was used to short order, and all I wanted was their version of chicken and steak (not ground beef.) The waiter explained how he'd do the combo on the menu and off he went. Having looked at the menu, I feared this might be an expensive option, and it was. But a few minutes later I was presented with a platter of delicious looking steak, chicken, rice, onions, tomato, and event a char-roasted jalapeño. It was enough food for my wife and I have had for dinner between us, so the price was well justified. Every thing was delicious. At the end of the meal, I asked if I could order another tandoori bread, and get a small to-go container of the green spicy spread to bring home for wife to try. They brought me both a generous helping of bread and the sauce, and charged me for neither. This service, combined with a delicious meal that, while expensive, will end up being three meals, means this is definitely a spot I plan to go back to as well as recommend.

He rolled his eyes while I was speaking, didn't want to answer simple questions about the dishes, and acted like helping me was an inconvenience. I was polite and just trying to clarify a few things before ordering. Instead of basic customer service, I was met with attitude and dismissiveness. It takes a lot for me to walk away from a $40 order -- especially when they had my favorite dishes available -- but the interaction was so rude and uncomfortable that I chose not to give them my business. Customer service matters, regardless of the order size. I hope management addresses this, because no customer should feel unwelcome for simply asking questions before placing an order.

The fries that accompanied it were hot, fresh & very good. Wife ate 1/2 of them. I also loved the Tarter Sauce that came with the Fish. I have to say the whole combo was amazing & you get a big Bang for your buck. If I did not have (3) people dipping into my fries, it would have been more than a snack. I also did a $4 Chai/Coffee - it was also delicious, took me back to my Afghanistan days at Green Bean.
