I requested for the Paneer Tikka Flatbread (not on the menu)- vegetarian version of the Chicken Paneer Tikka Flatbread. The naan pizza was delicious, it was stuffed with cubes of paneer with a side of Tikki Masala dipping sauce. Highly recommend it! You can get the Paneer Pizza next door too! The Paneer Tacos were filling and fun to try, but large chunky blocks of paneer. While I enjoyed the spicy mayo sauce, I wish the paneer was cut up into cubes. It just felt a bit heavy with the paneer. The Spinach Artichoke Fritters (4) were tasty. The Mango Mojito and the Mumbai Mule cocktail weren't that good, but it honestly it's hard to complain when it's only $6/drink. The unlimited weekend brunch at $38 is a great deal and well worth it! You can choose from over a dozen Indian fusion dishe - as a bonus mango lassi, chai, and soft drinks are included! You can order 2 dishes/person at a time and the servers hastily swing by to clear your plates and place your next order! Between the 3 of us, we ordered almost conquered the full brunch menu and had a delightful brunch feast! The food had a spicy kick, but not overpowering and wasn't greasy. The portions range from small, bite-size apps to full, large entree size. There's a lot of vegetarian dishes on the menu with a few non-veg as well. I wish fresh mango juice was used instead of mango flavored juice (tastes like Izzy). The lunch buffet (Mon - Fri 12pm - 2:30pm for $23 wasn't the best experience. Admittedly, I came to the buffet at 1:30pm and the food was tepid and sadly overcooked under the heat lamp. The plates were very small and it was hard to fit a bunch of food. I went to the buffet at least 3 or 4 times to try out the dishes in search of the perfect bite, which I sadly couldn't. There were 5 main standard dishes with 3 vegetarian dishes (Dal Makhani, Aloo Ghobi, and Mehti Paneer) and 2 non-veg featuring both chicken dishes (Butter Chicken and Chicken Curry) and a galore of fried fritters/pakoras (spinach, onion, potato) with a couple of new rotating stations with Pani Puri (not much going on) and Spinach Tikki and Fish Pakora fried fritters. The Mehti Paneer was quite greasy with a coat of grease at the top and the paneer was pretty stiff. It wasn't tender. The Dal Makhani was bland. The potato aloo potatoes were brittle as they were sitting under the heat lamp too long. The best part about the meal was the fluffy naan, which was made-to-order. I enjoyed 2 rounds! Order the Masala Dosa crispy! When we got it the 1st time on the lunch special, it was a bit rubbery and soggy. After the server asked us a few times whether we liked it, my hubby relented and told him the honest answer. The server got the dosa re-made to go extra crispy, which did the trick! A friend who is a novice to this type of cuisine, was interested in sampling a variety of Asian style dumplings, and this place definitely fits that description. The spot can get busy during the prime time 6-8pm dining segment, so I'd recommend making reservations to guarantee seating. Located in the heart of Arlington at the intersection of Wilson and Clarendon Blvd, parking can be a challenge but if you're willing to walk, there is usually availability in the surrounding neighborhoods. The interior is beautifully decorated. Tile flooring is complimented by blonde hardwood ceiling and wall accent pieces, while bamboo lighting fixtures provide soft illumination. The menu is rather extensive and runs the gamut from soup based, fried, and steamed dumplings. There are also appetizers such as scallion pancakes, tofu with perserved duck eggs, and dim sum ...but we decided to stick with the more traditional style steamed dumplings. A pot of hot jasmine tea arrived to share and we appreciated the refills of hot water through out the meal. Pork soup dumplings - or xiaolongbao (XLB) - arrived first and I provided a brief primer as to how to enjoy this dish. XLB are delicate steamed dumplings filled with seasoned pork and a rich, savory broth that bursts with flavor when you take a bite. My recommendation was to nibble off a corner, and then allow the contained broth to drain into the soup spoon. If you bite directly into the dumpling first, it will likely make a big mess as soup squirts everywhere. We agreed that the pork broth was extremely flavorful and not too salty. I also suggested making a dipping sauce of the black vinegar, chili oil, and just a tiny splash of soy sauce. Dipping the XLB into the sauce amped up the spice and enhanced the flavor. The other two dumplings arrived a few minutes later. Of the two, the chicken and shitake was preferred. Seasoned chicken and earthy shiitake mushrooms are mixed and then steamed to bring out an umami-rich flavor. This was quite good. I grew up eating this type of pork/cabbage dumpling, so while it was solid, to me, it was quite "boring." The pork dumplings needed the dipping sauce for sure. Service was fine. Dirty plates were removed when appropriate while water glasses and the tea pot refilled when necessary. My only observation, and not a complaint, is that I can understand why some reviews say this place is "expensive." I don't necessarily concur with that assessment since I think the food is quality. However, paying $11-$15 for a plate of 5-8 dumplings can add up quickly. Still, for a restaurant where a diner can try a variety of different dumplings in one spot, I think the prices are reasonable. Dinner for two adults - a pot of tea and three entrees - with tax and tip came to about $61.

Some of the other meat dishes on the buffet were a bit dry. I got a mystery empanada which turned out to be guava & cheese, if it had been warmed it would have been better. I love guava, but there was just a little small rectangle of guava paste in the very center; probably 80% of the empanada had no filling. Similarly, the cheese bread balls were cold and hard. Those need to be right out of the oven to be worth it. It's a shame, they probably were good when they were first made but they weren't by the time I got to them.
