I was immediately greeted and there were several tables occupied and lots of beautiful food on the table. I've never tried Nepali cuisine so couldn't wait. The space is small but cleanly decorated with self serve area for tap water and utensils. I asked the hostess between steamed and fried chicken momo what would she order and she said steamed, so that's what I ordered. My take-away order came out in about 15 minutes, which is acceptable if it's made-to-order. The dough was perfect, nice chew and fresh. The filling could use some work...needs salt and more flavor. I didn't taste the two sauces because I wanted to try the momos in their natural state. I will definitely come back because the staff was so incredibly nice and I want to explore the other options.

Ambiance- nice cafe like restaurant. Kind of small but they can accept larger group. Service- great service and good recommendations. Food - so flavorful!!! I love the spicy Pani Puri. The ones I've had are Indian which had some different spices. Absolutely love the momo in the broth. The flavors were out of this world. The chowmein was good but the other two were standouts for me. I definitely need to come back and try the branzino. Nepalese food is so rich in flavors and it's a welcome addition to Fairfax.

I was craving some momos so I stopped by Wow Nepal to pick up some and try. I got the buffalo momos to go and they taste great with the sauce!! Took 15 minutes to get my food and the staff were nice!

This place is a simple walk in and order and seat yourself type of place . The food will be brought to your table and it does not disappoint. I never ate food from Nepal and it was Delicious!!!! So many flavors balanced out just right . The staff was very polite and the restaurant itself was very clean . Only bad part about my meal is that I'm too full to eat some more but I'll definitely be back while I'm in town . I ordered the Poleka Sekuwa and the fried Momo (dumplings)

The food here is amazing! I am a big momo fan and have been looking for a good spot in NOVA to have them, and I think I finally found it! Their Chilly Momo is very flavorful and is cooked perfectly. I tried Jhol Momo for the first time and it has definitely become my new favorite. The "soupy" base tastes spicy and has a deep peanut flavor, which honestly pairs really well with the momo but also with all of the other dishes we ordered too. Lastly, I loved having the tea with the Alu Chop -- it would make for a great snack in the morning/evening. The waiter was very attentive and nice. Although the restaurant has minimal seating, it was pretty easy to get a table right away during the week at lunch. Can't wait to be back again!

I walked into Wow Nepal as a full-on Nepalese food virgin and walked out wondering why it took me this long to discover this cuisine. This place absolutely lives up to its name. The food is authentic, bold, comforting, and somehow still approachable even if you've never had Nepalese cuisine before (hi, that was me ‍). From classic Nepalese snacks and dishes, to clever fusion items like fish or chicken tacos, everything felt thoughtfully made and packed with flavor-- not watered down, not intimidating, just really really good. It's a fast-casual setup, but don't let that fool you--the quality punches way above its weight. Perfect for a quick bite, a relaxed meal, or even catering (which I can already tell would be a crowd-pleaser for literally any group of humans). I'm not Nepali, but if you're looking for what feels like a genuinely authentic Nepalese food experience--without needing a passport or a culinary glossary--this is the spot. Every dish felt welcoming, soulful, and made with pride. Bottom line: Whether you're Nepalese, Nepalese-curious, or just hungry and adventurous, Wow Nepal is for you. I came curious. I left converted. Highly, highly recommend.

Wow Nepal stands true to its name! The service, the food, the taste - everything is just wow! The flavors were truly scintillating--bold, vibrant, and layered in a way that instantly reminded me of home, yet with a unique Nepali twist. Coming from an Indian palate, I found the spice profiles incredibly comforting yet refreshingly different, leaving a lasting impression. You can really taste the authenticity and the care that goes into each preparation. The chilly momos, in particular, stood out--juicy, flavorful, and paired beautifully with their tangy sauces. Every bite felt like a celebration of Himalayan cuisine. Majority in our party including kids were vegetarians and we found a lot of options that we could order. The panipuri is different than what one would expect in India yet very refreshing. The Chana Chapati was chaat flavors, the fried rice was a STAR(I have easily term it as the best fried rice I ever had). We also had several other dishes like Aloo Chop, Noodles, I believe veg Thukpa and a few others. It's vegetarian heaven! Of course the meat dishes are amazing as well ! If you enjoy Indian food and are looking to explore something familiar yet excitingly new, this place is a must-visit. A hidden gem in Fairfax bringing a beautiful slice of Nepal to the DMV! MUST GO! Lot of Vegetarian options!

Good portions for the price point. Good amount of meat/protein too. Spice level was great and it can go higher for authentic eaters. Must try. Very very good. Space is limited but otherwise one of the best Nepali restaurants in the DMV. Service great. Self seating type Chowmein chicken noodles 5/5 Momo app 5/5 Thukpa chicken soup 4/5

Excellent Nepali restaurant. Particularly loved the spiced potatoes (Aalu Jiramasino), the goat momo in broth, and the pani puri. Really flavorful and I'll definitely try to go back.

Timiur Wings - Authentic Nepali Flavor Review I recently tried Nepali-style Timiur Wings, and honestly -- they were absolutely amazing! The wings were perfectly cooked -- crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The real highlight is the timiur (Sichuan pepper) flavor, which gives a unique tingling, slightly numbing, and aromatic kick that makes the dish stand out. The spices were well-balanced -- not too spicy, not too mild. The combination of garlic, ginger, and traditional Nepali seasonings brings a true authentic street-food taste. They were served fresh and hot, which made the experience even better. Goes perfectly with rice, beaten rice (chiura), or even just as a snack with a drink! Overall: Taste: 10/10 Flavor: 10/10 Authentic Nepali touch: 100% Highly recommended if you love bold, spicy flavors or want to try something unique from Nepali cuisine! #TimiurWings #NepaliFood #FoodReview #SpicyFlav

My favorite dish was the the sukuti sadheko appetizer -- the goat was almost jerky like, chewy (in the best way) but still tender; and spicy. It was served with these rice crispies that looked plain, but had so much flavor on their own. It was a fun & delicious play on texture, flavor and spice. The braised yak was tender and warm with the spices and rice, yum. Loved all the options for goat, lamb, yak, etc. There were also plenty of options for vegetarians as well.

The bar area is big and spacious, and usually sitting at the bar means better, more attentive service. The place was mildly busy, so I expected things to run smoothly -- but that wasn't the case. Right from the start, the bartender wasn't very attentive. We had to ask multiple times just to place our order. For appetizers, we tried the Goat Buttan and the Wild Boar -- we wanted to explore some of the unique delicacies on the menu. Both dishes were interesting, and the Goat Buttan and Wild Boar were actually pretty solid. Unfortunately, the service continued to be an issue. We had to flag the bartender again just to order our entrées and even for simple water refills. We ordered the Mutton Taas and the Yak Chili. The Yak Chili was very good, but the Mutton Taas was extremely dry -- like eating cardboard -- and lacked flavor. Throughout the night, our bartender was constantly absent. More than once, we had to ask another bartender to get his attention so we could get basic service. After finishing our meal, we ordered a dessert, the Gulab Jamun. The presentation looked nothing like the picture -- more like a sloppy drop of pudding -- and the taste was just as disappointing. And again, we had to flag down another bartender because ours was nowhere to be found. Service overall was lackluster, and the tip options started at 20% with no 18% choice. For the level of service we received, 15% would have been more appropriate. I won't be returning anytime soon unless I'm specifically craving their unique delicacies -- which is once in a blue moon.

And I'm sad we did, because the food was NOT good. We ordered - Impossible meat momos 3/5 - they were okay...not the best and not the greatest. The flavor was hiding and the momo did not stay in tact at all. The sauce that they served alongside did not enhance the momo at all. Veggie momo 3/5 - again, they were okay. In fact, I think these were worst than the impossible meat momos. Didn't seem like there was any flavor and just veggies mushed together with salt and pepper. Raita 3/5 - way too liquidy for my liking. I thought they would at least provide rice, but no. So it was just basically liquid yogurt with a couple of strips of cucumbers and carrots. Paneer chili 0/5 - the container literally said 'paneer chili' and after 2/3 bites, I asked my friend if this was actually paneer because it was kind of chewy? Of course it wasn't and it was chicken!! I'm vegetarian so I was so disappointed that they put the wrong item in our order, especially since the container explicitly said paneer. This morning I woke up with a terrible stomachache. The food definitely did not sit right with me. I'm definitely going to skip this place and try Moh Moh Licious next time.

I had to get the Chili Chicken Momo for my visit. The spice level here was pretty high for me, and I do well with spice. But that didn't stop me from eating the delicious Momo's. The Momo casing wasn't too thick or thin and the filling inside was pretty good. Flavorful and cooked just right. I also had their fried chicken here as well (From Krispy Crunchy Chicken). The chicken was really good. Super juicy and tender. Seasoning was actually on both the inside and outside of the chicken, so it was really flavorful. Service was good. Staff were friendly and the food came out within a reasonable time. Since this is in a gas station, there is somewhat limited seating. So I've seen mostly take-away orders coming out of here. Overall, 4/5. Great tasting Momo's and the Fried Chicken is definitely highly recommended as well.
