Got a chance to finally try this spot after seeing this all over my feed. Located inside the Liberty gas station, its a pretty lowkey spot. I had to get the Chili Chicken Momo for my visit. The spice level here was pretty high for me, and I do well with spice. But that didn't stop me from eating the delicious Momo's. The Momo casing wasn't too thick or thin and the filling inside was pretty good. Flavorful and cooked just right. I also had their fried chicken here as well (From Krispy Crunchy Chicken). The chicken was really good. Super juicy and tender. Seasoning was actually on both the inside and outside of the chicken, so it was really flavorful. Service was good. Staff were friendly and the food came out within a reasonable time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Since this is in a gas station, there is somewhat limited seating. I finally tried this place after seeing it all over my for you page. This is definitely one of those "if you know, you know" spots because you would never find it unless someone told you about it first. It's inside a Liberty gas station right off Little River Turnpike (used to be John Mosby Highway), and from the outside you'd never expect there to be a hidden gem there. I tried the steamed chicken momo, chili chicken momo, and fried chicken momo. My favorite was probably the steamed chicken momo, but the other two were still interesting to try. There's also a Krunch Chicken connected to the momo spot, and honestly the fried chicken was my favorite part of the whole meal. It was super juicy and reminded me of Jollibee because the seasoning actually had flavor on the inside too, not just the outside. I got the 3-piece combo which came with a side of your choice, and a sweet biscuit for around $13. The gravy was super hot which i really liked and the biscuit reminded me of cornbread because of the texture. I spent around $50 total for the three momo orders and the chicken combo. I'd definitely come back for the fried chicken, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way for the momos again. I'm talking about the places in the back of bodegas, under train tracks, next to auto shops -- the kind of eats I miss from New York where the setting looks questionable but the food satisfies. Family-run, super kind people, and they're serving up legit, authentic Nepalese food. Both types of momos were on point -- juicy, flavorful, the kind you burn your mouth on because you can't wait. My kids crushed the noodles, which says a lot. Clean plates all around. Never judge a book by its cover. Some of the best food lives where you least expect it. We saw this place on social media and wanted to give this place a try. I love momos and they're a little hard to find. We came here for a quick lunch after hanging out at EStarland for a couple of hours. The place is located in the back corner of the Liberty Gas Station's convenience store, which is small but pretty nice inside. The walls have been freshly painted a nice shade of sky blue and the floors are made of a gray tile that resembles wood panels. The ordering counter has a display case that has Krispy Krunchy Chicken in it and above and to the left of the counter, you can see TV screens that show the menus for both Everest Momo and Krispy Krunchy Chicken. Soft drinks can be purchased at the refrigerators that are part of the convenience store as well. We ordered the following: Veggie Chowmin noodles- This was very spicy. Hubs liked it a lot and didn't want the leftovers to get accidentally thrown out, so he ate it as soon as we got back. LOL. It's simple but extraordinarily tasty. Chicken Chilly Momo- Daughter liked the momo more than the noodles. She said that it was very spicy and that she wished the entree was bigger. I agree! Mango lassi- this was pretty good but I forgot to take a picture of it. We expected this place to look like a dump because it was located in a run down gas station. But, surprise, surprise! Place looked pretty nice. They've done some renovations and everything looked new and nice in there. Service was friendly and quick. The food was very fresh and definitely on par with fast casual - not comparable to other gas station food. I had the plain chicken momos and tried one of the chili momos my wife had gotten. The plain was definitely my preference as I usually dont like spicy foods, and the chili flavor was very spicy. However, my wife did enjoy the chili momos and didnt find them very spicy at all, though she has a much higher tolerance for spice than I do. The service was polite and they made the food fresh so it took a about 10mins for the order to be ready. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have tables and chairs setup to eat there, but it is still just a gas station, so not very great atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] While the food was flavorful and fresh, the spices were not really great for me or my wife's pallete. Hidden gem alert! This restaurant popped up on my Instagram feed and I knew I had to go. A valentines lunch for the books! We found this place from social media and were so impressed with how good the food looked we decided we MUST try it. We ordered a 3 piece fried chicken, the chili chicken momo, the veggie momo and the chicken noodle dish. The food was DELICIOUS. It was all very fresh and flavorful, we loved the momos that had a curry flare! The chicken was moist on the inside and perfectly crunchy on the outside. I'm not usually one for fried chicken, but this was maybe some of the best I've had. For as often as it seems to happen in the DMV, it shouldn't be so surprising to find amazing food inside a gas station. I can never resist trying a mono, and these were as good as any I've had and the chow mein was also delicious, both irresistibly complex with spices but not hot (unless you add the chili oil, which was also great!). I'm looking forward to my next visit to try more of the menu. Know what you're getting into, though. BLUF: If you're hungry, the food will hit the spot, but it's not cheap roadside gas station quick mart kinda stuff. $20 not well-spent on food, but a plus to support small biz. Warning: If you don't like smelling like fried food or feeling greasy when you walk out of the building after 10-15 minutes, this is not the place for you. But the food was hot & freshly cooked...I think. The fried chicken itself wasn't bad (though for gas station chicken, I liked Royal Farms more), and the batter/breaded chicken didn't taste very Cajun-like. The hot sauce also didn't make me think. "Cajun" either. It kinda reminded me of the frozen TV dinner chicken I loved as a kid, but it wasn't as crispy & didn't have as much crust...THE only reason to eat fried chicken! The momos... I'm not so sure these were actually homemade. These seemed very similar, if not identical, to the frozen ones you can buy at Costco. While they were hot & steamy, I'm not sure how freshly made these were. They looked & felt like they had been frozen because of the way the shells get from being frozen & heated. A little mushy, tough, & rubbery. The filling wasn't mouthwatering but tasted like the same filling in the Bibigo frozen chicken cilantro won tons at Costco. Not saying they tasted bad, just not uniquely homemade. Because of all the rave reviews for both the chicken & momos, I really wanted to love my food. Unfortunately, I can't say that I did nor that I'll go out of my way again to pick up take out. I REALLY hoped I had found a great little greasy spoon kinda joint with excellent grub. Wait, wait, wait - so you're telling me that excellent and affordable momos can be found West of I-66 and in all places, a gas station? Yes...yes, I am. Technically, Everest Momo Plus is incorporated with the Krispy Krunchy Chicken restaurant (https://www.yelp.com/biz/krispy-krunchy-chicken-chantilly) inside of the Liberty Gas station along John Mosby Highway (aka Route 50), but writing separate review since Everest Momo Plus operates like a Ghost Kitchen with their own Facebook page, food delivery services, and Google listing. Seems like every culture has their version of a dumpling, but of late, I've really come to enjoy these classic Nepalese street food. And the thing I really appreciate about Everest Momo Plus is that each batch is steamed to order...so customers know their momo's are always fresh. As an interesting side note, while I was waiting for my order, I was chatting with one of the cooks and he explained that in Newari (one of Nepal's oldest languages) 'mome' means cooking by steaming - hence where the term "momo" is derived. The "décor" is nothing much to speak of, since this is still a gas station. So after walking in, the restaurant portion is behind the cash register. But it is nice that there are basic tables and chairs, since I always enjoy eating my momos while their still pipping hot. I could immediately discern that each of my chicken momos was hand wrapped by the intricate swirl pattern on the top. And unlike at some places, each dumpling is jammed pack with pork and herb seasoning. And I definitely detected the classic spices of Nepal which characterize a momo. Spices such as cardamom, cumin, black pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon, onion, garlic, were all present without being overpowering. And at a $1/piece (if you order in person vs. online), it is a great deal. I ate five of the dumplings there and then saved the other half for a noodle soup at home. The two sauces provided are also savory without being too sweet or spicy. I haven't had the chance to try any of the other Nepalese dishes, but will definitely do so since I have family in the area. So the next time you're driving out in this part of Western Fairfax County, and pass by a nondescript sign Liberty Gas station, I recommend popping in to try one of the better kept secrets in the DMV. read more

This was hands down one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I placed my order, and not only did the staff mess it up, but they also made me wait an extra **30 minutes** even though my food was already ready! I stood there waiting, only to find out later that my order had been sitting there the whole time. When I questioned the person taking orders, instead of apologizing or even acknowledging the mistake, he **rudely dismissed me**, repeatedly saying, *"I don't want to discuss."* Excuse me? What kind of customer service is this? No accountability, no courtesy, and absolutely no respect for customers' time. If you enjoy waiting forever for your food while being treated like a nuisance, then by all means, give this place a shot. Super delicious momos!! At first I thought I was in the wrong place when I walked into the convenience store area, but I saw the sign for Everest Momo on the right after walking further in. Inside a convenience store of a gas station is this joint delicious momo place and Krispy Krunchy Chicken (also delicious). It hard to find any momos in general in this area... A Nepalese family bought this Liberty Gas Station at the western edge of Chantilly and added Nepalese momos (dumplings) to the already existing Krispy Krunchy Fried Chicken franchise. Even if you're actually getting gas there, it's easy to miss. The momos are made from scratch to order and there can be a bit of a wait, so it's a good idea to call in your order ahead of time. When you bite into them you get immediately taste the freshness that is missing from most gas station food, which generally comes frozen. Let me reiterate: some of the best homemade dumplings around are found in a Liberty Gas Station in Chantilly. My wife visited Kathmandu and said that these are totally legit and are comparable to what she had in-country. I'd highly recommend this place, just ignore all the normal gas station store items and head straight to the food! We got one of each kind of momo as well as the Aloo Sadeko, which is some sort of Nepalese spicy potato salad. Everything was delicious.
