Got a chance to finally try this spot after seeing this all over my feed. Located inside the Liberty gas station, its a pretty lowkey spot. I had to get the Chili Chicken Momo for my visit. The spice level here was pretty high for me, and I do well with spice. But that didn't stop me from eating the delicious Momo's. The Momo casing wasn't too thick or thin and the filling inside was pretty good. Flavorful and cooked just right. I also had their fried chicken here as well (From Krispy Crunchy Chicken). The chicken was really good. Super juicy and tender. Seasoning was actually on both the inside and outside of the chicken, so it was really flavorful. Service was good. Staff were friendly and the food came out within a reasonable time. Since this is in a gas station, there is somewhat limited seating. So I've seen mostly take-away orders coming out of here. Overall, 4/5. Great tasting Momo's and the Fried Chicken is definitely highly recommended as well.
I ordered on the phone the chicken and chili chicken momos to go. This place is such a hidden gem! The momos are good sizes and portions. Chili chicken is really spicy but worth the burn because it's so tasty! That's why I get regular as well to balance the taste. The dipping sauce is flavorful but beware of the hot sauce! It's hot! I finally tried this place after seeing it all over my for you page. This is definitely one of those "if you know, you know" spots because you would never find it unless someone told you about it first. It's inside a Liberty gas station right off Little River Turnpike (used to be John Mosby Highway), and from the outside you'd never expect there to be a hidden gem there. I tried the steamed chicken momo, chili chicken momo, and fried chicken momo. My favorite was probably the steamed chicken momo, but the other two were still interesting to try. There's also a Krunch Chicken connected to the momo spot, and honestly the fried chicken was my favorite part of the whole meal. It was super juicy and reminded me of Jollibee because the seasoning actually had flavor on the inside too, not just the outside. I got the 3-piece combo which came with a side of your choice, and a sweet biscuit for around $13. The gravy was super hot which i really liked and the biscuit reminded me of cornbread because of the texture. I spent around $50 total for the three momo orders and the chicken combo. I'd definitely come back for the fried chicken, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way for the momos again. Also, the gas station itself is kind of like a mini 7-Eleven -- they sell snacks, beer, wine, ice, etc.

I'm talking about the places in the back of bodegas, under train tracks, next to auto shops -- the kind of eats I miss from New York where the setting looks questionable but the food satisfies. This place shares space with a gas station, one stop shop vibes and all. You'd think the food might be mid at best. Nope. Total opposite. Family-run, super kind people, and they're serving up legit, authentic Nepalese food. Both types of momos were on point -- juicy, flavorful, the kind you burn your mouth on because you can't wait. My kids crushed the noodles, which says a lot. Clean plates all around. Never judge a book by its cover. Some of the best food lives where you least expect it. If this place were closer, I'd be there once a week.

The food was very fresh and definitely on par with fast casual - not comparable to other gas station food. I had the plain chicken momos and tried one of the chili momos my wife had gotten. The plain was definitely my preference as I usually dont like spicy foods, and the chili flavor was very spicy. However, my wife did enjoy the chili momos and didnt find them very spicy at all, though she has a much higher tolerance for spice than I do. The service was polite and they made the food fresh so it took a about 10mins for the order to be ready. They have tables and chairs setup to eat there, but it is still just a gas station, so not very great atmosphere. While the food was flavorful and fresh, the spices were not really great for me or my wife's pallete. It was a good experience and I think people who enjoy the spice and seasonings they offer will greatly enjoy the food here. Worth trying for sure, but probably not for everyone.
Hidden gem alert! This restaurant popped up on my Instagram feed and I knew I had to go. It's a nondescript location set inside a gas station in Chantilly but wow does it deliver! There was a constant flow of customers during the hour that we sat inside (2 4-seater tables are set up inside). There is a limited menu but don't let that fool you. They have several types of momos, noodles, and some sides. We got the chili chicken momos which were HEAVENLY and the regular momos. We also got noodles and a side of the potatoes. Everything was incredibly flavorful and at a very low price point! If you're in the area at all, do yourself a favor and stop in!
Recently heard about the Nepalese food there. Very non descript location at a Liberty Gas Station. However, it was completely worth it. The Momo's were amazing. The wife had the Veggie and I had the Chicken Chilly Momo's. Chicken Chilly Momo's were so good my wife who is a vegetarian since birth ate 2 of them. Highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious Nepalese food, Momo's in particular
This is an amazing place run by a husband wife team who together make sure that the customers are treated well and the food is fabulous. Every time a friend comes to my place I end up in taking there special who loves Momo's and know what Momo's are from ethnic standpoint. Highly recommend recommended place comes with flying stars.
A valentines lunch for the books! We found this place from social media and were so impressed with how good the food looked we decided we MUST try it. We ordered a 3 piece fried chicken, the chili chicken momo, the veggie momo and the chicken noodle dish. The food was DELICIOUS. It was all very fresh and flavorful, we loved the momos that had a curry flare! The chicken was moist on the inside and perfectly crunchy on the outside. I'm not usually one for fried chicken, but this was maybe some of the best I've had. This spot is a hidden gem nestled in a gas station, so I wouldn't recommend for the vibes but if you're looking for delicious, unique momos - I would highly recommended!

I was very disappointed with my experience at Everest Momo Plus. Unfortunately, I found a hair in my food, which completely ruined my meal and made me question the restaurant's food-handling and cleanliness standards. I understand that mistakes can happen, but finding hair in your food is extremely unpleasant and not something I expect when paying for a meal. I hope the restaurant takes this seriously and improves its attention to cleanliness and food preparation. Because of this experience, I would be hesitant to return. read more

If you are traveling Eastward on 50 in South Riding. Table for 12 people. Keep in mind a single Michelin start means worth a detour. Its definitely worth a detour. The American style fried chicken is PERFECTLY battered. The salinity is also to my liking. It's so much better than RoFo. Treat yourself to Chicken Momo. If you're a fan of Dim Sum, you must try momo. Sorry I didnt take the photo of the momo. I ate it, then got inspired to review. read more

Man oh man who would have thought you can get some bomb ass momos from a gas station. Food was amazing full of flavor and spicy just how I like it. I ordered the chicken momos and the veggie chow mein. read more

BLUF: If you're hungry, the food will hit the spot, but it's not cheap roadside gas station quick mart kinda stuff. $20 not well-spent on food, but a plus to support small biz. Warning: If you don't like smelling like fried food or feeling greasy when you walk out of the building after 10-15 minutes, this is not the place for you. But the food was hot & freshly cooked...I think. The fried chicken itself wasn't bad (though for gas station chicken, I liked Royal Farms more), and the batter/breaded chicken didn't taste very Cajun-like. The hot sauce also didn't make me think. "Cajun" either. It kinda reminded me of the frozen TV dinner chicken I loved as a kid, but it wasn't as crispy & didn't have as much crust...THE only reason to eat fried chicken! The momos... I'm not so sure these were actually homemade. These seemed very similar, if not identical, to the frozen ones you can buy at Costco. While they were hot & steamy, I'm not sure how freshly made these were. They looked & felt like they had been frozen because of the way the shells get from being frozen & heated. A little mushy, tough, & rubbery. The filling wasn't mouthwatering but tasted like the same filling in the Bibigo frozen chicken cilantro won tons at Costco. Not saying they tasted bad, just not uniquely homemade. Because of all the rave reviews for both the chicken & momos, I really wanted to love my food. Unfortunately, I can't say that I did nor that I'll go out of my way again to pick up take out. I REALLY hoped I had found a great little greasy spoon kinda joint with excellent grub. The really greasy part is all I can remember though...that and the biscuit soaked in honey. That was delish! read more

Wait, wait, wait - so you're telling me that excellent and affordable momos can be found West of I-66 and in all places, a gas station? Yes...yes, I am. Technically, Everest Momo Plus is incorporated with the Krispy Krunchy Chicken restaurant (https://www.yelp.com/biz/krispy-krunchy-chicken-chantilly) inside of the Liberty Gas station along John Mosby Highway (aka Route 50), but writing separate review since Everest Momo Plus operates like a Ghost Kitchen with their own Facebook page, food delivery services, and Google listing. Seems like every culture has their version of a dumpling, but of late, I've really come to enjoy these classic Nepalese street food. And the thing I really appreciate about Everest Momo Plus is that each batch is steamed to order...so customers know their momo's are always fresh. As an interesting side note, while I was waiting for my order, I was chatting with one of the cooks and he explained that in Newari (one of Nepal's oldest languages) 'mome' means cooking by steaming - hence where the term "momo" is derived. The "décor" is nothing much to speak of, since this is still a gas station. So after walking in, the restaurant portion is behind the cash register. But it is nice that there are basic tables and chairs, since I always enjoy eating my momos while their still pipping hot. I could immediately discern that each of my chicken momos was hand wrapped by the intricate swirl pattern on the top. And unlike at some places, each dumpling is jammed pack with pork and herb seasoning. And I definitely detected the classic spices of Nepal which characterize a momo. Spices such as cardamom, cumin, black pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon, onion, garlic, were all present without being overpowering. And at a $1/piece (if you order in person vs. online), it is a great deal. I ate five of the dumplings there and then saved the other half for a noodle soup at home. The two sauces provided are also savory without being too sweet or spicy. I haven't had the chance to try any of the other Nepalese dishes, but will definitely do so since I have family in the area. So the next time you're driving out in this part of Western Fairfax County, and pass by a nondescript sign Liberty Gas station, I recommend popping in to try one of the better kept secrets in the DMV. read more

I'd been meaning to try Everest Momo but hadn't gotten the chance. I was so excited to finally order. I ordered the veggie momos and they were well-filled and delicious. The portion was good. The staff was really friendly. They have a few tables so you can eat there if you want. Looking forward to trying other options when I return. read more
The food is okay, but nothing spectacular. It is tasty and filling when you're hungry, but not anything you want to rush to get food from. MoMos were good and had good flavor, but it didn't have any moisture on the inside. We would go here if we were in a rush or a bind to get some food, but will not be making special time to go there for anything. read more

The Chili Chicken Momos (dumplings) are medium-level spicy but excellent. They will dial the spicy level down or up on request. Location and ambiance is 1-star at a Liberty gas station but the momos are 5-star. They also have chicken and pizza, both of which I have not tried, but the chicken is reported to be very good. read more
