The waitress was rude and she never came back to check and see how things was going. I work in hospitality so I know how you supposed to treat a customer and she was not treating her customers right they need more training on our two treat a customer in hospitality. There's not a lot of seafood boil options in the area, but I'd say this spot is a decent choice. The sauce is delicious (we all got everything mixed) and I love that each selection comes with a potato and corn. The Cajun fries were also very crispy and delicious! My only complaint with the food is that the shrimp was tough, likely overcooked. There is potential for large parties, as the space is very big and there's plenty of parking. I love this restaurant! I came with my boyfriend on Sunday afternoon, we had the place to ourselves. The service was quick and everything was delicious! Food came out quick. I do not know but it can't be because of the service because the service is pretty good here. I ordered the $5 lobster bisque, oyster basket with seasoned fries and a pound of buttery garlic seasoned crawfish and a beer for $6. The oysters and seasoned fries were okay as well as the lobster bisque not a home run out of the ballpark but it was not bad at all. What was bad is the crawfish they offer you for $13 a pound. Being so far from home I decided to bite, boy was I wrong on that and as I voiced my opinion on the Crawfish the waitress or whoever the lady was, told me that since I did not like it. She understood because she did visit New Orleans and understands what FRESH crawfish is and decided to give me something else which would have been the crab legs. If not for that gesture I definitely would not have been back and would have been a three-star review so make your own assertion on this if you're not from the South, then this is probably your cup of tea if you don't order the said, crawfish! I got the F5 Fried Catfish basket and it was amazing. The fish was very tender and almost falling apart in my mouth, as soon as it entered. The breading is a nice flaky and airy mix, NOT the chicken tender style hard crumb style you would expect most places to use... it really lends well to the light and delicious feel and taste of the fish. The fish was sat upon a bed of fries. The fries were the nice light and crunchy style you get at places like Checkers and BonChon. They're really good! The only thing I didn't like about my experience was the packaging the fish/fries came in.. They came in a cardboard box (waxy covered inside) which was open and not sealed fully. Quite to the contrary, the food was excellent and the portions were better than expected. I went with the combo that had crab legs, shrimp, a lobster tail, eggs, potatoes, and corn. The staff also do a good job of making sure all of the diners are properly spaced out for COVID protocols. We got hushpuppies to share as our appetizer and they were good! Not too doughy like some other places tend to make them. The dipping sauce was just regular ranch though. I thought it was unique that their seafood boil bags come with two hardboiled eggs in addition to the typical potatoes, corn, and sausage. My husband and I both got the C4, which is a 1/2 pound of crawfish, 1/2 pound of sausage, and 1 pound of headless shrimp. We only had drinks at the bar, prices were decent but when we asked for water they said they only had water bottles. They charged $2 a bottle for basic costco plastic bottled water. It's bad enough to make you pay for water at a bar, but trying to make a profit off your inability to provide tap water is really crappy. I won't be back. I would have been fine paying 50 cents. Long Time No Sea is a great new Cajun seafood restaurant for Manassas. The Juicy Special flavor with hot spice level is the perfect level of heat where you can still enjoy each individual flavor of the sauce without it being too much of a hot mess. They also do hush puppies and fried pickles! Since we're all working from home for the pandemic, I've been looking for a new lunch option, and they have a make-your-own boil thing that lets me get snow crab, andouille sausage, corn, and potatoes for under $20 (pickup). Considering how much I've been paying for mediocre DoorDash food, this was a welcome bargain. They also have cheaper fry baskets of shrimp, oyster, etc. that come on a bed of fries. The service is also fantastic. The girls at the front are always super nice and friendly. I think they even know me by name at this point. They do takeout and delivery and also have limited dine-in right now. I'm trying to support as many local businesses as I can during covid, so I'll definitely be back here many times. 2 words: Food Poisoning I was craving seafood and only in the area for the day. I saw this had outstanding views and headed straight here. Overall, good food but just okay service. The shrimp and clams were very good, the calamari was as chewier than I expected. I also had an order of hush puppies that were tasty but not the best. The eggs were well over cooked, but it's a seafood boil so can't complain. The corn was inedible in my opinion. Corn should have a juicy and flavorful bite. This corn was shriveled to just skin on a cob. 8 hours later, I'm up at 2:30am getting extremely sick and tossing it all back up. I understand it could have just been my poor luck, but I wanted to make other people aware. My wife and I have become addicted to this place! We initially came here because it's one of the few, if not the only, places in the Gainesville area that keeps crawfish on their menu. Not only do they keep them in the menu, they really know how to cook them! This is not your typical peel-and-eat shrimp or saucey mussels experience. You'll be treated to delicious seafood, coated and steamed in the sauce of your choosing, which range from mild to extra hot. Regardless of which sauce you choose, your tongue will be inundated with flavor. In addition to the crawfish, we've had the head-off shrimp (they're peeled and deveined, but still have the shell on, which is a sauce dipper's delight), the black mussels (again, use the shells, my friend), the scallops (so tender!), and the calamari (bring your appetite!). We recommend them all! Our favorite sauce is their signature Juicy Special; it's gone great with everything we've had so far, so much so that we ask for an extra side at the beginning of our meal to dip into as we order dish after dish after dish. Equally excellent as the food, the service here is top notch. All of the servers and chefs are friendly, helpful (for any dining recommendations), attentive. Mastery in sauce is something pretty much all chefs aspire for. Because a sauce can make or break a food or the whole recipe. The last time we went to long time no sea, we were amazingly surprised with the taste of the Cajun sauce. It was so good we kept eating even when we were full. This time came a month after the last; we thought to celebrate my spouse's new job. Excited and hungry we went in. The restaurant was empty last time, and the same thing happened this time as well. Not sure why a restaurant would be this empty at dinner time! We ordered fried calamari, and one of the seafood boils with crab legs, shrimp, potatoes, and corn with Cajun sauce. The calamari was just like any other fried calamari you can find anywhere. Tasted frozen, sort of not freshly fried. Last time it was amazing. Not sure what happened to the calamari this time, but we were excited about the seafood boil so we left the calamari as soon as the entree showed up. When we started digging in, to our surprise it did not taste even close to the last time. I'm not sure how they did it the last time, but this time the whole thing felt like it was microwaved, and that was done very poorly. Food got cold within about 5 to 6 minutes of opening the bag. I mean I would get it if the food was outside. But under the control temperature of indoors, it should not do that. Well we were happy we got to eat something, but definitely not happy about the taste. Thankfully we did not bring the friends we thought of bringing here to give them the best meal of their lives; it would have been really insulting to boast about a food this much and then have somebody eat this.
