I've been meaning to come and check this place out for years now and i regret it taking me so long to finally check it out. The inside is tastefully decorated. It has DC vibes right here in Manassas. the staff was very friendly and attentive. And the food was amazing . My friend and I came in for drinks and ended up getting the beignets with pesto and whipped feta spread.. Highly recommend.

Battle Street Bistro is an exceptional dining spot that combines delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch service. Also might i add that they have a right pretty tasty fish sandwich . I definitely recommend that you try it because I really liked it lol. But who I am i just a hungry jack spreading joy through food reviews lol.

Sunday brunch- group of 12. Sometimes places take a long time to fulfill large group orders however this place ran smoothly- no delays with drinks or food. Most memorable about this place is the cozy ambiance and the food- top notch. Reasonable prices for brunch items and highly highly recommend the French toast with I split with a friend (half pictured). The butter cake was nothing to brag about but we did order that to go. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely felt like an authentic French experience. Someone's poutin looked and tasted amazing (see pic). The cocktails were crafted well and absolutely would come back for brunch.

Was pleasantly surprised by how varied the brunch menu was. So many great options, including an entire vegan section. Staff was friendly and promptly greeted up and took our orders. The inside feels a little cramped (it's a small space and they do a good job with filling it as efficiently as possible) but I'm excited to see what the rooftop is like at a future visit.

Cute restaurant in Old Town Manassas with a cozy ambiance. The food and service were good. Went for lunch so it wasn't super busy. Ordered the Bleu Cheese Burger and Chicken Brie Club. The seasoned fries were good too!

I enjoyed everything there, it was small and cute. I would definitely recommend, my server was sweet and we had almost every other employee check up on us as well. We went on a Saturday afternoon, it wasn't too packed thankfully.

Battle Street has been a favorite of ours since they opened. But in recent months, not so much. Customer service has taken a dive. I had one occasion when we wanted to order dessert and a meal to take home after we finished dinner. Waitress told me the kitchen was closed for the night. I asked why they didn't ask if we wanted anything else before they closed it, she just looked at me blankly and shrugged. I've had to send food back, I've had drink orders that take so long I'm done with my meal by the time I get it. The food has also declined, in portion and quality. A recent visit with friends just confirmed this place isn't great anymore. We had to flag down one of the two waiters/waitresses that were working multiple times to order drinks, get boxes and put tab. The manager was more interested in flirty with the waiter than anything else. They all disappeared into the kitchen multiple times at the end when we were the only patrons. We seriously contemplated just walking out. We had been ready for the check for over 20 minutes. I'm super disappointed.

Great food! We ordered shrimp and grits, Shakshuka and catfish sandwiches. YUMMY! We were seated outside on the terrace and the food was hot, fresh and beautifully presented. Will definitely be back!

I stumbled across Battle Street Bistro recently during a recent visit to Old Town Manassas. I could not recall seeing the business before - so this morning I visited for the first time to check it out. It was around 10:30 am or so when I arrived. I was greeted and seated promptly. As I looked over the menu - I also was taking note of the interior of Battle Street Bistro. It's a very cozy, comfortable ambiance - with lots of dark woods with accents of brick and metal. The place felt very clean. After looking over the menu, I ordered the Quiche Lorraine - with a side of bacon - and coffee and water. The Quiche comes with a side salad - which added a nice fresh note to the meal. The salad was dressed with a tangy, lightly salty dressing - which was a nice contrast to the Quiche. The Quiche was tasty - but under-seasoned. I feel like they need to experiment a bit with adding more salt, black and white pepper, and Nutmeg to the Quiche mixture. The Men's restroom was very clean, modern, and well appointed. I asked the staff about how long Battle Street Bistro has been here - the young lady from behind the bar advised that they've been open a couple of years - which explains why I could not recall seeing it previously. It opened some time during the COVID-19 Pandemic - a time when I visited very few public places. According to the young lady - the space was previously occupied by offices. Service was excellent. I will come here again! #BattleStreetBistro

After checking in, we were quickly guided upstairs to a cozy, rounded booth--an intimate and perfect spot for two. Our server, Katie, was fantastic--attentive, knowledgeable, and refreshingly honest when helping us choose between dishes. We started with the deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes, paired with the Black Sheep Mule and a watermelon cocktail (wish I remembered the name!). For our mains, we ordered the short rib rigatoni and the steak bulgogi bowl. To finish, we shared the weekly dessert special: an Earl Grey tres leches. Everything was exactly what I hoped for and more. The starters were standout, the entrees were packed with flavor, and the overall aesthetic of the space was just beautiful. We'll definitely be back--next time for brunch!

It was also my first time at The Black Sheep but I had always heard wonderful things - all of which turned out to be true. The loft area is beautiful and overlooks the entire restaurant. Also when you reserve the loft, which holds up to 16 people, you order off the regular menu. I loved this as other places I checked into were much more restrictive with a higher minimum spend and fixed menus for groups larger than 8. We had 12 in our group. We started with a bunch of appetizers for the table and cocktails. Appetizers included the bacon tower, fried green tomatoes, hushpuppies, crispy chicken wings, and Mediterranean garlic shrimp. Dinner entreés were jambalaya pasta, the American wagyu burger, pulled short rib rigatoni and branzino almondine. There were zero complaints. We enjoyed EVERYTHING!! The bourbon butter cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert literally took me over the top. My belly was ready to burst :) Our waiter was attentive throughout the entire time and everything we ordered came out perfect. I must go back soon. It is a distance from where I live but there's so many things on the fabulous menu I want to try.

I got the build your own savory crepe option with two fried eggs, Gruyère cheese, extra goat cheese, spinach, extra tomatoes, and dill creama to put on top. The crepe instead of a tortilla option was definitely unique, but tasted light and went well with the ingredients I had chosen, not overpowering it at all but being the nice burrito casing it should be. The veggies were all fresh and the tomatoes were red and they actually gave me extra which was nice...most places won't add extra when you ask for it. The eggs were cooked well, though I wish they had another way of cooking them as an option for the build your own crepe, as they have scrambled eggs available for one other savory crepe. The service was great as they also added extra goat cheese inside my crepe as well as adding the two sides I paid extra for. Most places won't look at the notes and so I ordered two sides just in case, but I didn't end up needing them. They were quite generous with their extras. The creama dill sauce topped off the crepe quite well, and was a tangy, creamy addition to the meal. Their sauces had pretty decent portions, so even those like me who love their extra sauce will find one enough. You are definitely getting value for your money as the crepe was as long as my fork and super wide. IT WAS HUGE! I had to save half for later, so it was like getting two meals in one. TLDR: I highly recommend going to Clifton Cafe for your brunch needs! The food is fresh, delicious and has enormous portions, which will have you taking home a to go bag.
