I had the chicken Pho dried out chicken breast, the broth tasted like nothing very bland, and the basil was wilted. Let me to start by saying, I really wish I got his name, but I believe he was either the owner or manager, and wow what great customer service skills this guy has. He is very happy and accommodating from the moment you walk in. Takes time to explain the menu to you and even offer some suggestions. I was absolutely not a fan of the pho though, it lacked a bit of flavor, and the meat choices were very thin. In which I actually informed him to let him know I was not a fan of the taste, and he quickly brought back a menu for me and told me to pick something else. He did not have an attitude about it at all, he kept his same happy and accommodating demeanor. The grilled chicken rice dishes are actually really good, the chicken in season so well. I've been coming here for basically my entire life and this place is heaven for me. It is the standard when it comes to pho for me personally. Anywhere I go, I always compare to this place. The staff knows me so well since I come so often that they just ask me if I want my usual and will place my order right there and then. Unassuming spot in a big strip mall in the major shopping area in Manassas. Huge parking lot so no problem there. Walked in and we're seated right away on a Saturday evening. It was decently busy with a light buzz of conversation. Most tables had pho but there are other noodle and rice dishes as well as bubble tea. They were also getting a stream of take out orders and once our food arrived we could see why. The pho has the most flavorful broth, even our 10 year old who usually sticks to the noodles and meat slurped up the soup. She claimed it was so good that even when she was super full she still wanted sips of the soup. There was a decent amount of meat and noodles, such that an adult and kid could share a large. Prices were on par with the other pho restaurants in the area. We'll be back as I've been thinking about the soup ever since we left. We have not been to Pho 234 before so we are excited to discover a new spot to have pho in our area. For appetizers, we ordered Crispy Spring Roll and Fresh Shrimp Roll. Loved both appetizers. We also ordered Iced Coffee which was served in to-go containers (which I appreciated). I ordered the Pho 234 Combo Beef while my date had the Chicken Pho. Great pho for vegetarians! As a vegetarian, I'm always skeptical of going to pho places and seeing if they have a "vegetarian" version of a beef stew. I generally don't expect it, so I rarely try it. Don't worry, Pho 234 has you covered! I really enjoyed the veggie pho packed with perfectly crispy tofu, carrots, broccoli, snow peas, and a couple of other green vegetables.
