Thai Peppers is always a solid spot and definitely does the job when you are craving Thai food! I ordered the drunken noodles in medium spice with carrots, broccoli, and onions but sadly didn't get any onions in mine. If you actually like real spice, I would recommend getting the hot instead because medium wasn't very spicy. The drunken noodles were still really good though! I also tried the Basil Fried Rice which was delicious, the Thai Tea was tasty, and the veggie spring rolls were amazinggg!!! I enjoy Thai Peppers. I get a very basic order of pad Thai, drunken noodle, and green curry. Our family sticks with the same thing every time we get takeout Thai because we know what we love. They do as good a job as any other place I've had it out our way and didn't price gouge or shrink sizes like some of the other spots. The food is always ready fast and I really like the veggies they use in their green curry. I've only sat to eat in the Haymarket location, which is very nice and has comfortable booths. In Bristow I'm just running in to grab dinner for home and honestly haven't stopped to look around since it is always ready when they say it will be. I think it is better than the overall reviews and recommend trying it. People need to know where they are. It's Thai food in the very outskirts of what can be considered Northern VA. They are trying to meet the expectations of the people they regularly serve. I have a food critic friend who once told me that he loves a good quarter pounder from a certain chain every now and then. He doesn't compare it to the $20 burger he would get at a fancy restaurant. They all have their place. Thai Peppers satisfies my craving every time and I've never been disappointed in the quality. And again, they've kept it affordable while a lot of other places have either started serving smaller portions or significantly raised prices or done both. read more

I ate here once, probably back in 2015 and recalled it being "just ok" but nothing spectacular. Since it was so long since the last time I was here, I tried it again recently and got carry-out. We tried Pad Prik Khing and Kra Pow, as well as some Ton Yum. The Tom Yum was decent, nicely spiced and tasted fresh. The stir fried dishes were really bland-looking, the sauce looked very clear, not tinted with spice, like we're used to seeing. The flavor was ok, but not very rich and deep. Great authentic Thai cuisines within a small and cozy restaurant. There's spacious indoor and also small outdoor seating. The restaurant is very clean and the staff are friendly & attentive . The chicken pad Thai is favorable and not sweet ( a great portion with generous white meat chicken). The chicken and eggplant stir fry was very light and flavorful ( stir fried to perfection )and came with a small jasmine white rice too. My favorite is the Drunken Spaghetti with Shrimp, tomatoes , bell peppers , basil & garlic ( generous amount of shrimp and not sweet ). There's usually a few patrons in there (I've never seen it crowded), and it's super quiet. It's actually a good place to have a nice, solitary lunch if that's your thing. Sad that their pre-pandemic lunch menu is not available anymore, which had options not available on the dinner menu. From their dinner menu, you cannot go wrong with their curry or noodle dishes - go to options are masaman curry or drunken noodles. Their Thai BBQ skewer appetizer is also a must try and my all time favorite here is the Larb salad. Yum! Fish Sauce ground chicken salad...heathy right, it's a salad! But the full body of flavor in your mouth, with enough kick to let you know it's Thai cuisine. *Chef's kiss*. Nice spot in Georgetown which my colleagues and I frequent for lunch ever so often. I noticed that the owners weren't there as soon as we walked in and I have to say the service was slow and not up to par. The server acted as though we were bothering her. So I like my food REALLY, REALLY, REALLY spicy. I've got blonde hair and blue eyes, and most Thai restaurants take one look at me and, despite my serious, repeated requests, deliver some sort of lukewarm spice level. Hubby and I landed at Thai Peppers tonight to get takeout, and I asked the server, as I always do, to make it REALLY spicy. Instead of the usual smiling, nodding, and disregarding, our server verified the spice level that I wanted, and the restaurant DELIVERED. The food was EXACTLY what I wanted, and completely delicious. Also, the spices were layered; there was red pepper, black pepper, and white pepper adding depth and deliciousness to my entree. This is unusual, and VERY welcome. Also, while we were waiting, hubby and I ordered drinks from the bar. Our bartender was prompt, and graciously accepted a last-minute change of mind. She also made one of the most complex drinks on the menu VERY well, and checked back in to make sure that it was to my taste (much appreciated, and it was delicious). We don't often get out to Thai Peppers, but this is a VERY welcome reminder to make the trek far more often. Thank you to the servers, the bartenders, and the kitchen, for providing excellent customer service, and for LISTENING to a customer! The food is delicious, and MUCH appreciated! Staff was friendly and always made sure we had everything we needed. Food was prepared very well and had good flavor. The dining area was clean and comfortable. Very nice Thai restaurant located in Bristow Center shopping area. The space is small and sparsely decorated, yet clean and comfortable. The service is pleasant and helpful. The menu is fairly typical for a Thai restaurant in America. The dishes are very well prepared and presented, and quite delicious. Although not perfectly authentic, having a lot of sauce and a bit of sweetness that most Americans seem to like and expect, they do a very good job of representing Thai food in their style of preparation and flavors. One exception is the Crispy Duck with Basil which pleasantly had more of a glaze than a sauce. Everything is served hot and fresh using quality ingredients. Take this as a warning before going here. The bill was $138 before tip for two adults and three kids. Portions are very small and quality of ingredients is not good. They seem to think that whatever is cheapest or American style vegetables will work in their Thai food and it does not. Service is not very good. Slow. They need more staff. I understand that is hard these days, but it is their job to figure out how to time food and organize their restaurant accordingly for their paying customers... The only dish I will describe is representative of everything we ordered on their menu which is about 10 different items of appetizers and entrees... The drunken noodle dish was served in what I would say is a regular soup bowl and the portion had very little chicken. Not a whole lot of noodle and a few peppers and onions, but the most surprising thing was as the pile of noodles shrunk I found they had fluffed it up on top of romaine lettuce which I've never had in a drunken noodle dish and is definitely a cost cutting measure so be warned. We ordered for delivery, and the food was mediocre, poorly presented, and lacking in any real flavor except extreme spice. The drunken noodles were on the slimy, too-sweet, oily side, and inedibly hot, although I requested "mild" spice. The pad thai was dry, and they made up for a lack in actual flavor again by making it too sweet and way too hot ( we ordered that one as "medium," but the heat level was ridiculous. Crushed peanuts were a sloppy afterthought--a tiny spoonful shoved off to the side and sticking to the container. The duck roll appetizer was dry and unimpressive, too, with very little actual duck. There are far better options for great Thai food in the area. I don't plan on going back. read more

My parents come here often, and said that it was good. It wasn't very busy when we first arrived, and our party of 9 was seated. We ordered all our drinks, and wanted a few minutes to look at their menu. After several minutes, we were ready. However, it was impossible for us to find a server or even get their attention. After about 10 minutes, we were finally able to place our order. Our food took about 25 minutes to come out. I understand we were a big party, but several parties that came way after us had gotten their food. When the servers brought our food out, she announced what it was, then when we told her who it belonged to, she just passed it to the person at the end of the table. It would have been much easier for her to walk around. Food: - drunken noodle: the flavor was not what I usually expect in drunken noodle. It seemed to be lacking something. Also it comes on a pile of lettuce as well, which probably makes it seem like it's more than it is. - spicy red curry: they added A LOT of coconut milk. It was good, but very very sweet, and not spicy at all. - thai fried rice: portions for this seemed large. I didn't have any, but our party seemed to like it - pad see ew : again, portions size seemed lacking. Flavor was okay - rice: So some of the dishes come with a side of rice. This side was probably about half a cup, but looked like more since it was kind of puffed up. For most people, like myself, that isn't enough rice to go with my entree. So just FYI, when you ask for more rice, it's a $1.50. I've definitely had MUCH better Thai food for the quality, quantity, and price. The chicken pad thai was very soupy, almost like a pho (never seen that before) and had a very distinct flavor and smell. BEWARE OF SPICE! Hot is pretty spicy for a "hot". The drunken noodles and fried rice were pretty good but I had better. However, my friend ordered the yellow curry and it was far below his expectations. They gave little to no rice compared to the portion of the curry and it was very soupy. First time in the other night - although Thai Peppers has been on my "hit list" of places I wanted to visit. Still fighting this damn cold virus - so I ordered my usual "Thai Trefecta": Som Tum, Tom Yum, and Pad Kee Mao - although they have it spelled "Pad Kee Mow" on their menu - aka Kee Mao Kai or Drunken Noodles. I ordered all three dishes at the "Thai Hot" level (four peppers or stars). I really wanted to put a hurting on this congestion! The Som Tum came out first. Nice crisp, shredded Papaya, loved the lime dressing - very spicy! I was definitely sweating by the time I got through that. Next came the soup - the Tom Yum - with chicken. Also very spicy! My tastebuds were aflame and my sinuses were being defeated by the full power of Thai peppers! I could have guzzled a gallon of that spicy broth! So good! Finally, out came the main course - the Pad Kee Mao. Also very spicy! I mowed through that in no time flat. Delicious noodles, chicken was cooked perfectly. Service was good, attentive. I noticed that I was constantly being watched. I'm not sure why this was. While it did not bother me, I did think it was a bit odd. Came in on a Tuesday around 2pm so the place was dead. We had the lunch special which was an entree with an spring roll and a small house special soup. The soup was awesome, it tasted like veggis with chicken broth. The spring roll was warm close to cold when I got mine which I was not happy about. I like my spring rolls to be hot but anyway we got the drunken noodles and pad thai. It came out nice and hot and the portion size was big enough for lunch. It's a decent amount considering it's a lunch size. My drunken noodles was very spicy, I don't know what these people are talking about not being spicy enough because when I got done eating, my stomach felt as if it was a volcano. Maybe they read the forum and decided to kick it up a notch. We also ordered the thai wraps for an appetizer and it was decent, it's like eating tacos but with lettuce as the shell.
