    Pad Prik Khing with Chicken
    J E.

I ate here once, probably back in 2015 and recalled it being "just ok" but nothing spectacular. Since it was so long since the last time I was here, I tried it again recently and got carry-out. We tried Pad Prik Khing and Kra Pow, as well as some Ton Yum. The Tom Yum was decent, nicely spiced and tasted fresh. The stir fried dishes were really bland-looking, the sauce looked very clear, not tinted with spice, like we're used to seeing. The flavor was ok, but not very rich and deep. Their basil fried rice was decent though. Overall, seems not much has changed since the last time I tried their food... doubt I'll return.

Great authentic Thai cuisines within a small and cozy restaurant. There's spacious indoor and also small outdoor seating. The restaurant is very clean and the staff are friendly & attentive . The chicken pad Thai is favorable and not sweet ( a great portion with generous white meat chicken). The chicken and eggplant stir fry was very light and flavorful ( stir fried to perfection )and came with a small jasmine white rice too. My favorite is the Drunken Spaghetti with Shrimp, tomatoes , bell peppers , basil & garlic ( generous amount of shrimp and not sweet ). The price is reasonable and I had to check out the restroom which is clean. Overall a great spot for authentic Thai cuisines.

Thai Peppers is my go to lunch spot! I put my order in through their website and it's ready for me to pick up in 15 minutes or less (it was 10 today). There's usually a few patrons in there (I've never seen it crowded), and it's super quiet. It's actually a good place to have a nice, solitary lunch if that's your thing. The very generous portion of basil fried rice (Thai hot ) was delicious as always.

Given this place a lot of chances because it's the closest takeout to me! But the food is hit or miss and our most recent order was the worst. Pad Thai was dry, and had almost no sauce or flavor. The Pad See Ew noodles were overcooked and mushy/slimy. The dishes did not taste fresh or flavorful. It's $30+ for two noodle dishes. Service and takeout speed is good.

Way too overpriced. I got the tiger steak and the sizzling beef with crab wontons. There is barely any meat for a 20$ meal and the crab wontons have like a pea size dot of filling. Never going here again it was 54$ for sizzling beef, tiger steak, and crab wontons. Maybe they don't put as much meat in the to-go orders but I was absolutely shocked when I opened the container.

Sad that their pre-pandemic lunch menu is not available anymore, which had options not available on the dinner menu. From their dinner menu, you cannot go wrong with their curry or noodle dishes - go to options are masaman curry or drunken noodles. Their Thai BBQ skewer appetizer is also a must try and my all time favorite here is the Larb salad. Yum! Fish Sauce ground chicken salad...heathy right, it's a salad! But the full body of flavor in your mouth, with enough kick to let you know it's Thai cuisine. *Chef's kiss*. Nice spot in Georgetown which my colleagues and I frequent for lunch ever so often. They swear by their sushi, which I haven't tried, because I cannot steer away from the Larb Salad.

Service with a ? Not here! Benefit of the doubt but service was terrible..food 3/10 and for the love of God invest $10 in some new spice trays! Manager said "we only have one"...the one was virtually empty and looked like it was made from spare parts. Show some pride in your restaurant! Teach your staff about customer service. I typically give reviews for really poor or really good. So this is meant to be constructive. I ask for spicy and extra basil...got neither. Wife was very disappointed. No 25% tip for your server.

Breading in the duck roll, I can barely see the duck meat!
    Yk G.

A very average Thai restaurant, the Warrenton one is a lot better. The duck roll has 300% more breading than actual duck meat, meat tastes stale too. Drunken noodles have uneven sauce, some places are dramatically spicier.

The service here is amazing. Their sodas come in giant beer glasses but I still needed a refill which they brought promptly. I love that. I thought the noodles for pad Thai were strange (very thin, not the usual flat noodles) but the flavor was on point. I know - because I asked the restaurant staff when I recently visited in person for some Pho. Why is this important? Because, for some reason - the previous business listing under the "Viet Flavor" name - was simply updated/changed on Yelp to "Pho Banh MI 89" - and of course this keeps all the reviews that were under the the Viet Flavor name. What should have occurred - is that the Viet Flavor business listing is "Closed," and a new business listing created for "Pho Banh MI 89." Until that happens - I have no way to post a review except for here. I visited recently to sample the Pho Ga. The Pho Ga was expensive - I paid around $17 and change for a bowl - seemed a little high. I also ordered the Summer Rolls - which were pretty standard quality-wise. The Pho Ga chicken broth is a bit light for my palate. I'd like to see more depth of flavor and complexity to the chicken broth. As usual, after tasting the broth - I added all the accoutrements: Fresh Basil, lime juice, Jalapeños, and Bean Sprouts. Noodles were not clumped; broth was steaming. Decent bowl of Pho Ga - but not outstanding. The inside of the place was totally gutted during the transition to the new business. Bright, clean, lots of seating. Service was good. Paid with Apple Pay. #PhoBanhMI89
