oh, this was some GOOD sushi! i'll just start there. we walked in, we were seated immediately. started off with some hot sake. i feel like you really can't go too wrong with that. started off with the fried calamari, they were pretty good, only wish they were fried a little bit harder as some of the breading was coming off. the calamari actually looked like onion rings. and then the main event was the capital roll. it was sooooo good. this is a spot that i would definitely revisit if coming back into the area. read more

In the words of my bro, if you going to charge premium price for the appetitzers it better live up to the price in which it didn't. Tom Yam Soup $13.00 -Tastes nothing like tom yum, it's suppose to be spicy and limey, but all you can taste and fresh shrimp dropped into the soup, it was very fishy. Seaweed Salad $6.95 -Alright Thai Lettuce Wrap (Hot & Spicy) $10.95 -meh didn't really have that much flavor to it. Pork Gyoza $5.95 -something outta the freezer, i'm a couple of bucks from buying a whole bag at the freezer. Shumai $5.50 -The pieces were tiny, not your dim sum size shumai, tastes like something outta the freezer. HB Filet Mignon & Chicken (Dinner) $27.95 -didn't taste the filet mignon part of it, meat was cooked through when I wanted it medium well. It was ok flavor wise. There was so much liquid inside the container, hibachi is suppose to be stir fried and DRIED. Drunken Noodles (Hot & Spicy) $12.00 + Chicken $2.00 -stay away from this dish, does not taste like anything, no flavoring at all. You would need to hit up a thai restaurant for good drunken noodles or chinese restaurant for chow fun. They didn't have beef as an option either. California Roll $6.50 -meh, CR tastes the same everywhere you go, it's so basic. If you're looking for good sushi, this really isn't the place. I ordered a shrimp role and each piece was about 99% cucumber and an extremely small sliver of shrimp. My daughter ordered the steak hibachi and the steak was flavorless and tough. You're better off going to the other Japanese Hibachi restaurant in the adjacent shopping center. For our appetizers we got the Gyoza (5/10) (it was ok...gas we tried it but could have done without it). Based on all the good reviews, I wanted to try Passion Fin. I couldn't decide between two dishes so I ordered them both for carry out. The hibachi steak entree came with salad, veggies and fried rice. All of that was good and pretty typical of what you would get at other hibachi places. And of course it comes with yum yum sauce. You can get more sauce for an extra cost. The pineapple fried rice was good, but I've definitely had better. It lacked the curry flavor it was supposed to have and I'm used to the dish typically having cashews which this one does not have. I also didn't care for the addition of peas and carrots in it. My favorite thing about this particular dish was the use of fresh pineapples. read more

The place was empty although i saw it the night before and it was popin. The food was pretty mediocre. My sushi didnt taste fresh. I got the eel sushi and honestly i never had eel before but it was pretty gross Both my grandma snd titi thought their food wasnt that good either. Passion Fin has been in my saved folder for literal years, but I have over 800 businesses bookmarked, so yea... My friends and I came for an early dinner on a Saturday. We didn't need reservations and we were seated immediately. It's a small restaurant with ample parking to the side of the building. We were seated near the sushi chefs, there's also bar seating facing the chefs. My friends and I ordered apps and sushi entrees, no drinks. My rolls were really good, of the cheaper rolls, my fave was the salmon skin roll. I also ordered a speciality roll, can't remember the name but it was good. I'd pass on the tom kha (I think) soup, it lacked depth of flavor and had huge chunks of tomatoes and green peppers in it that were nearly raw. It's a hard no for me, dawg. Our fave app: Roti with chicken curry. Unfortunately we didn't discover it until the end of our dining experience so we were pretty much full, but my God it was delicious. You don't find roti on Asian menus very often, but it's so freaking good. Service: It was decent. The restaurant started to fill up and we had been there for 3 hrs, catching up and laughing, then our waitress asks us to move to the bar area so a group could have our table. LOL! I've never been so embarrassed in a restaurant before. LMAO! We got up and left because we had already paid. Also, you know how when you're in a group, you chat after paying, but the server continues to fill your water, she didn't do that. She skedaddled. Came here on a weekend eve after picking up a friend who flew into the Warrenton- Fauquier airport on a private plane. We called ahead to make a reservation and she took my name and time of arrival. Not sure it was a reservation or a waitlist. Was a bit confused. When we arrived there was a 4-top table which was great because we planned to order a lot. There were a few big parties. We chose the House Platter B which had 16 sashimi, 8 sushi and two special rolls. We requested more salmon if possible. For our two rolls we got the Deluxe Rainbow Roll and the Black Dragon Roll. OMG it came out on a boat and took up the table! The salmon was soooo fresh! I LOVED the Black Dragon Roll and could not stop eating it. The Deluxe Rainbow roll was also great. This dish comes with a choice of a soup or salad. I got the soup, my friend got the salad. Both were very good. The soup was hot (temperature). We got the pineapple rice but mostly to eat as leftovers all week. We tried it and it was delicious. Tasty and moist. A lot of extra ingredients- cucumbers, mushrooms, peas, scallions, broccoli, carrot, etc. you can probably guess we got the veggie one! It's served in a pineapple but did not taste like a pineapple.
