I ordered Chinese to go: Hot and Sour Soup, Kung Pao Chicken extra spicy, and an order of fried egg rolls. They have this interesting contraption at the front door that lets them place your order into this space - and then a sliding door opens and you can retrieve you to go order. I was disappointed in the Hot and Sour Soup - it was sweet. Not sure what was going on there. The Kung Pao Chicken was rather average - and though I had ordered it extra spicy - I could detect no heat. The rolls were greasy. I was excited to see them because I remembered the site to have 5 stars but this was negative 1. I don't care if I came at the wrong time or substitute cook was there. James & I went here for Sunday dinner. We were the only ones there; there were 3 people attending. We got seated fairly quick but then had to get the waiters attention to get water. They need to understand that white pepper is a necessary accessory with egg drop soup and have it at the table tho. Sushi and rolls fresh, good tasting. I prefer more sesame seeds in the wrap for spicy tuna, but good none the less. Rainbow roll was good but the paper thin fish was a bit disappointing in its paper resemblance. The pepper tuna sushi appetizer was ok but like the rainbow roll, the fish was paper thin, much thinner than the picture in the menu. The white tuna sushi was great. Small but very good. Eel sushi was good but again a little smaller than expected. Waiter was friendly, courteous, and memorized the orders perfectly. The food was fresh, delicious and well portioned. We had the spring rolls which came out hot. We also ordered the Cashew Chicken and General Tso's Chicken and split both. I was about to drive 20 mins to my go-to for certain dishes, but my Asian radar tripped and sensed a newbie restaurant in a up and coming area that deserved a fair shot at an anonymous Yelp visit. I ordered my usual dishes and always get a dish unique to the restaurant. This particular one leans towards Japanese flair and kudos to them to offer cuisine from neighboring asian countries like China and Thailand. Don't let the sparse parking lot fool you. I walked in and the phone was ringing and families were dining family style. It was delightful and we have to give credit that some countries like to stay open and feed people especially on holidays. Asians find any reason to heat up a pan to wok and roll! They love to celebrate! The dishes that I normally ordered ( General Tso's chicken, Hot and Sour soup, gyoza/ fried wantons, and sugar donuts) were good and tasted as they should. No worries here. This is how it should be, a little heat in the chicken and soup, anyone that complains should go to the ones that make it differently. They fooled you. The new item was the Titanic Roll. This was the medley of fish, caviar, cream cheese, and rolled in seaweed dipped tempura with panko crusties sprinkled on top. Garnished with wasabi and radish with soy sauce. It was a delight. I thought I'd save half for the next day ( for shame!), but I couldn't. I ended up making 3 trips to the kitchen to grab a piece(s). Back to while I was ordering, the phone rang 3 times. I asked them to take the calls. Imagine having to seat, take orders, and wait on my behind to order. As I was there, a delivery person missed the fried rice. The host offered to credit $5 or bring out the missed item. That's the way to do it. People make mistakes and trying to pack a delivery and while trying to keep it hot is a challenge. I actually witnessed them "run" a delivery package to the parking lot delivery man just to get it moving. Let me give you a tip about universal Asian cooking, it's best served HOT. When you order delivery, consider the time it takes for the driver to make it there and kept it assembled and complete. With all the little boxes and sides staying stacked for you. A better order would be to go and have a seat in the dining room where it comes directly from the kitchen. These people try to comprehend the English language and accents too. Translation from Asian food to English language is scrambling the mind a bit. Chill out and let them try to serve you. Best is to speak briefly and to the point. I say this for all Asian restaurant customers. Other than that, I give this place a solid thumbs up. The decor is a bit austere and dark. I feel like zombies may pop out of the back and I'll have to defend myself somehow to get to the side door. I like the little sushi bar. I may stop in someday for some saki and sushi. With a little more decor, subtle lighting, and background music, this makes for a nice quiet hangout in the middle of nowhere sort of. A great change from a typical bar and loud noises. After many years as an Asian food connoisseur, I am actually an Asian food snob in search of the best overall. This place was very nice. I always go for the hot n sour, this one was a little too sweet which was odd. The chili balanced it out a little and it wasnt horrible, just not the best. It was packed with the good stuff, exotic mushrooms, tofu & egg. Per previous reviews raving against gen tsos chicken, I had to try it. Usually it isnt my go-to and yet, I dove right in. (They also have gen tsos tofu!) It was very tasty, and didnt have any of those "oddball" pieces of mystery meat. All of the dishes were served on real dishware, definitly a great surprise. I was happy with it. There were plenty of items on the menu to pick from including beer, wine, and my favorite...sake. The atmosphere was clean and quiet. The sushi bar/set up looked good. The service was friendly and average, nothing over the top. Overall, I will probably return. I would recommend trying them at least once, especially if you like general tsos. read more

So far I've only got to try the sushi & I love it! Very fresh fish. You can also order online for delivery & take-out. It is easy to order online at beyondmenu.com. There is a mileage limit though so they actually aren't able to deliver to my house in Bristow. I don't mind because it's not that far for me. The restaurant is new & the inside is clean & modern. Everyone is friendly here. Lots of options to choose from. A note to the owner though: I noticed your responses to your negative reviews. Try not to lash out on them too much. Yes, you're going to get some bad reviews but so far your good ones are outweighing the bad ones. You won't be able to please everyone. Everyone will have their opinion about your bistro & that's ok. Just remember that you have a business that has great potential. Try not to show your customers a bad side to yourself because it might turn us away. I love your bistro & will continue to be a loyal customer if you just make sure your food quality is the best, your friendly service is consistent, & you appreciate your customers. As a new place, I think there's always room for improvement so I won't give 5 stars. But, this is a very decent spot amidst other mediocre copycat chains in the area. This place is quite small but simplistic. We were the first people here for dinner, and everything came out quickly and correctly. The tuna roll was a little on the small side, but the fish was fresh and tasted great. The general tso chicken was NOT a big breaded mess so major points go to the full nuggets of white meat which was a pleasant surprise. Also a surprise were the shrimp in the triple delight. Large and cooked well, clearly fresh and I was a happy camper. I regret that the chicken and beef wasn't a smidge meatier and less fatty pieces, but this place still contends with all other places in the area hands down. Great brown sauce! I will say I felt bad for the waitress so I'm adding this in case this person Yelps: there was a couple seated behind me who made some fairly annoying comments. She kept bugging the waitress to compare several items for her to tell her which one was healthiest. She kept getting valley-girl frustrated: "no, like, I don't mean your favorite, I mean which one is best health wise." Heads up: your waiter is not a nutritionist and calculating your calories is not their job, and its not going to end the way you want it to any time you ask that question. Leave the poor girl alone! I really have to stop in and downgrade my review of Benjin's and I'm sad to do it.. The other night we had delivery that I ordered online through their system. About 20 minutes after placing the order, they called to tell me they were out of Orange Beef? I don't necessarily know how you can be out of a dish like that...maybe the orange part? But they asked me to pick something else. I picked Mongolian Beef and they were okay with that- so apparently they weren't out of beef?! It took over an hour for our delivery to get to our house and it was all barely lukewarm when we got it. It was on the verge of being cold, honestly. It was much better the next day when we heated it up for leftovers and ate it hot... But the fried things get dried out when reheated, as usual. Their thai food isn't fantastic, we tried the Pad Sew Ew last night instead of Pad Thai and it was very dry and not yummy. I won't order that again. I hate to drop it down to 3 stars, but per Yelp's ratings, I don't believe Benjin's is 5 star worthy anymore. It's definitely still A-Ok, though! read more

All the way around this was a really good experience. I had a serious hankering for sushi and it absolutely hit the spot. The have a good kid's menu too. We got a really good quantity of kid's Lo mein and a drink for $6.50. My waiter wasn't really familiar with the descriptions of the sushi rolls but the owner is also the sushi chef, and he was very friendly. The depth of how friendly the owner and staff was shown when my kid, who had too many treats over the July 4th holiday weekend, started to complain of a tummy ache and, to my horror, got sick on the floor. Thank goodness the restaurant only had one other couple there eating pretty far away from us. The staff quickly sprang into action, cleaned and disinfected the mess, asked if he was ok and calmed my utter embarrassment. That could've been a total disaster but they were very kind about it. My family and I were feeling pretty lazy and we decided to try this new Asian place. I have to say: Benjin is a genius! I had the Mongolian Beef and my family shared Orange Chicken and Lo Mein. My beef was just amazing, perfect flavor. I tried the orange chicken and it had the best orange sauce I had ever tasted. We ordered delivery and it came in a reasonable amount of time at about 45 minutes. I totally recommend this place it has good prices and the food is perfection. Hands down the best Chinese food in the area. We love everything! The highlights are the shrimp tempura, cucumber roll, sweet and sour chicken, and garlic shrimp. I also love the hot and sour soup and the miso soup. It's always piping hot when we pick it up or get it delivered. They're COVID protocols are truly unmatched as well. I would give them plenty of time to prepare your food when you order. They're always slammed so it does take a bit after you order. I gave this establishment a 3 because the food is good. However, if you order delivery, it is consistently late. Tonight was our first time ordering in probably 6 months. Our online order said it would be delivered in an hour. When an hour and 20 minutes passed, we tried calling both phone numbers listed on the website. One number was disconnected and the other just rang and no one answered. After an hour and 45 minutes, our food was finally delivered, cold. This isn't the first time this has happened. We have even called asking where our food is and have been told "we're too busy, we can't do your order". At least put a message up saying you cant take orders or that orders will be delayed, something! We will think twice about placing an order in the future.
