They NO LONGER offer a lunch menu AND they raised all prices by about $4-$5+ more for each entree on the previous regular menu!!! Their website is not updated and still shows a lunch menu available and the old prices for everything. So lunch was very expensive...$16 (+ tax) for vegetable fried rice! Even for dinner that is expensive for veggie fried rice. No wonder why there's no crowd anymore like before. These prices are crazy high. I'm from San Francisco where most Vietnamese restaurants, including the better ones are much cheaper with better food. On the menu, 3 item combo showed $17.95 (no more than $14-$15 tops in SF). The food was below average, way below. My wife got the pork/egg roll, on the menu $15.95. When we got the check we were charged $1 more for each meal!! Why??? Probably figured we wouldn't notice, we did. if you look at different menus they show different prices for the same item. I tried this place not long ago and did not have a good experience. Normally, I give any restaurant a couple chances but in this case I will have to make an exception. It was one of those rare occurrences where the service and food were both unsatisfactory. Starting out with ordering, I was on their website looking at their menu and decided to call-in an order for takeout. So I called the restaurant and placed my order but when she told me the total I was very taken back because something wasn't adding up. At that point I decided to drive there to order in person because their must have been some kind of misunderstanding. I come to find out that their prices on their website are not the same, nowhere near close. When I mentioned it to them they seem unfazed as if they already knew about this. On top of that, I was told I could order the M portion that was on the menu, that for take out only the L portion was available. For some reason I decided to place my order anyway and spend over $100 on soup for my family. Now if the food had tasted good I would have been more forgiving but this was probably the worst pho I have ever had. It was absolutely flavorless, the quality of the meat was sub-par, and there was just nothing redeeming about it. If you are looking for a pho place in Manassas, I would recommend Pho Saigon and NOT this place. In fact if this is the only option, I would recommend just skipping it entirely. This is my go to pho spot. It's close to home and it's good. It doesn't compare to "homemade" pho, but for restaurant pho, I think it's the best one in the area. My boyfriend and I came on Saturday for lunch and it was pretty packed. We were sat immediately though and ordered our usual - summer rolls and combination pho. I'm the type of person that likes to taste my broth so I don't use a lot of sriracha or hoisin sauce (unlike my boyfriend who could probably have water and hoisin sauce as a broth). In my opinion, I think they have the most flavorful broth in the area. The summer rolls are delicious as always and the pho was just as delicious. I'll be back. Still my go to spot. read more

The kids are little pho snobs so.. when they were happy and stuffing their faces, we knew it was a pretty good spot. The food was delicious - nicely seasoned and the size of the large bowl of pho was like a bathtub for a baby, I mean.. it was shocking. The dishes were good and definitely what a hungry crew needed. BIG portions get BIG reviews. I had heard of this place at the suggestion of coworkers, raving about the soup and portion sizes, and that was affordable. Pho normally comes pretty cheap, but I had to try this out. The location is easy to miss off of Sudley Road, but I found it with some quick maneuvering. When I got inside, it was packed, so I had a feeling it would be good. I was seated immediately by a young and friendly server who appeared to be the owner's son. After a brief look over of the menu, I asked about the Pho 234 and the iced tea. He said both were really good. I ordered both. Small or large? I ordered the latter. Woof. Not even 10 minutes had passed and the meal arrived. The large is not a large, but a humongous. It came in a bowl that could've fit a small puppy! It came with cilantro, sprouts, other vegetables, plus 3 varieties of meat - brisket, Vietnamese meatball, and tripe, all in a clear broth. There were plenty of noodle in there and no skimping on the meat. The meatballs were decadent and flavorful. The brisket was while a bit fatty, very tender. I don't like tripe, and for those who don't know what it is, I won't explain it to you. That's what Wikipedia and the rest of the Internet are for. All in all, I was so pleased. I felt full and very happy with the final outcome. The iced tea though was a bit too heavy on the milk, so I didn't want to finish it all. Maybe I'll pass next time. I would give this place about an 8/10, they gave us a spot fast and took orders quick and came out with the food in a timely fashion as well. However, service after getting our food was hard since they only checked on us once before us having to flag them down after about 20 minutes. This was my first time having Pho. Pho 234 is a nice, clean little restaurant with a very friendly staff. They didn't hesitate to change our order from "here" to "to-go" and even apologized that we couldn't stay to eat. The Beau ordered the cubed Vietnamese steak that smelled DELISH and came with all kinds of grilled peppers and onions. It looked SO appetizing, though I didn't try any as we had to get it to go. I had vegetarian pho to go with fried tofu. The broth was still piping hot by the time I got home, 25 minutes later. I added the brown sauce which I assumed to be a mix of srichacha (or however you spell that) and hoison... the bean sprouts and the fried tofu. I wished the broth had been more salty though. Also, I got a little tired of eating the fried tofu after a while. Unfortunately, 2 hours later and I'm starving. I have been coming here for lunch/dinner for a few years (I work across the street) and mostly just stick to the pho and variety of spring rolls they offer. I have come to like their pho better than my other regular places. The broth is warming and flavorful, the noodles aren't soggy and the meat is fresh. Just great bowls of soup!! The Vietnamese ice coffee was not the typical ice coffee that is in normal pho restaurants. Tasted more like a mocha than anything else. Not favorite. There pork chop was decent. This place reminded me of one of the pho place back in VA Beach area call "Pho 50" that closed down but I'm really glad that I found Pho 234 when I moved. The food comes out lightning speed. the fresh garden roll is a MUST! thinking about it make my mouth water. As for pho itself, they give you tons of meat and noodle unlike other places all you see is the juice. Vietnamese girl from California's two most densely Vietnamese regions here. Verdict: not bad! I wasn't expecting much because it's hard to come by decent Vietnamese food from areas where there aren't any Viets, so this was a pleasant surprise. I'm rating this place with that in mind. Food came within 10 minutes of ordering during the late lunch hour. Great! Most of the menu was in English for some reason. A little nitpicky, but I know the dishes by my native language so I had to rely on the pictures to figure out what I wanted. We ordered the pho xe lua dac biet (large special pho) and the bun bo hue (Hue beef noodles). The soups came out piping hot! The BBH came with the small side dish of chili that gave it a decent heat - I tend to add tons so I wish they'd just had the small containers at the table. The meat was generous and tender. Pretty big portions, which was awesome. The pho was flavorful, if not a bit salty. Giving 5 stars because the super friendly man who served us was so sweet and helpful that he made my night! Here on a Friday night and was greeted warmly by the waitstaff and given prompt service. The cafe sua da here was pretty amazing, just the right balance of sweetness, richness, and thickness (I'm always in search for a nice viet iced coffee) Had a fried chicken wing appetizer that came with a side of sweet chili sauce. To be honest, I thought the pho was just okay and the meat in the pho dac biet (deluxe with everything) was a bit tough. Lots of noodles though, that's a plus.
