I was in the mood for sushi so I ordered steamed dumplings and a couple of rolls I believe they were Alaskan roll and probably either a salmon, tuna, and or yellowtail. The server I wish I remember her name was so sweet and gave me some great recommendations of drinks to try. Because this was a couple of months ago I believe I can't remember the drinks I had. We stopped here for a quick lunch on our way up to DC. My husband was craving Korean and the spot he found was located inside this restaurant. It was a bit confusing, but seems like it's a sushi restaurant mixed with an Asian cuisine one. There was plenty of seating inside. This is located in a mall so we were able to find parking in the packed parking lot. They had womens and mens restrooms in the space. The service was a bit awkward, but fine overall. My husband built his own bowl that was fine. The miso soup I got was alright. I wish I liked my scallop nigiri and salmon avocado roll more. Overall the food was ok. The atmosphere: The restaurant is spacious, and I like it when the outdoor area is open since it has a shaded setup and a fire pit. Otherwise, there's still plenty of indoor seating. The food: We started with the Korean Fried Chicken in the soy garlic flavor, which was probably my favorite part of the meal. It came out hot and crispy. We also ordered two rolls, the Double Toro Roll and the Double Salmon Roll. Both were drenched in a Japanese dressing or soy-based sauce, which caused them to fall apart almost immediately after picking them up. The flavor was overly sour and salty, making it hard to taste the freshness of the fish. Overall, the balance of flavors felt completely off. We also tried the Spicy Crunchy Tuna Bites, and to our surprise, the only crunchy element was a small part of the outer rice shell. This place rocks for trivia on a Monday day night. Trivia is Mondays at 7 and if you get there before 7 their awesome happy hour is half off all drinks plus some food specials. They have a varied menu that includes sushi and a variety of Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Thai dishes. It's a much more varied menu than most Asian restaurants. The 54 old fashioned is unique and tasty since it uses Japanese whiskey that has a spicier taste than your usual drink. The beef bulgogi is a must try, it's a large portion of lean and tended well seasoned beef in an enjoyable sauce and it comes with a large portion of rice and salad. The place is in the Springfield mall so there's usually lots of parking but the lot was packed a few days before Christmas. Food poisoning and lies about allergies! This place was super disappointing. Before even being seated, we asked about the ability to accommodate allergens, and were assured that they take that very seriously. This was a lie. One of the members of my party asked if any sauces came on the veggie combo 8, she was told that no sauces ate on there. That was a lie, as it came with eel sauce. She is allergic to that and would have asked to leave the sauce off if the waitress was honest. The kitchen staff looked visibly upset when the waitress brought the food back. Next, a member of our party had asked if there were any gluten ingredients in the sweet potato rolls, and was told that there wasn't. This was a lie. The sweet potato is fried, which isn't mentioned on the menu, and that has gluten ingredients it. She asked why that happened and the waitress just didn't know. She was then charged for the extra sushi roll. No one was demanding something he made that wasn't on the menu, but telling lies about allergens instead did checking will get someone killed. Food allergies are serious and I hope that they do better. When asked if the miso soup was made with any sort of meat broth, we were told no. That was a lie. I got extremely sick due to the waitress giving wrong information again. There were also flies everywhere. Save time and headaches, don't go here. read more

Both app's came out quick, hot, and tasty. My rolls (spicy crunchy tuna and shrimp tempura) were a bit of disappointment: They were doused in sauce and toppings and the shrimp tempura looked and tasted overcooked. Service was great at first and then the waiter was nowhere to be seen (literally) towards the end of our meal when we were trying to get our checks and leave. It looked attractive and tasted like citrus & melon with vodka. I savored it and drank it slowly. Good price for the quantity & quality of the drink. We both ordered Crab Rangoon appetizers = excellent choice. They were cooked perfectly, and the best crispy yet succulent delicious Crab Rangoon we ever ate in our life. I ordered Tuna Trio Sushi Roll for the Tobiko, flying fish roe and scallop sushi roll. My husband ordered shrimp fried rice. My sushi rolls tasted good and had an orchid flower for decor . My husband liked his shrimp fried rice when it had yum yum sauce on it but he still thought it was too spicy for him. Our server was nice yet still new & learning the menu. We didn't mind and he was satisfactory as a server. He even gave me a to go cup with ice for me. They do give military discount with ID. We started with drinks and since mimosas are $5 (at least on Sunday) we started with those. I've never had a hibiscus mimosa so we tried those first and it was quite good. I ordered the bibimbap in whatever the stone bowl thing is and it was really good. The spicy sauce it comes with helped add the kick that I really enjoy. The bulgogi in the bibimbap was really tender too. It was very filling as well. I didn't finish it all in one setting. The bartender made one small mistake but really made up for it. Everything I had here was amazing! I came here multiple times during a week-long business trip and I probably would have stopped by at least one more time if I had time. It's hard to find a good happy hour anymore, but this place delivers. Discounted sold you, sushi and select appetizers... Yes please! I'm pretty basic with my sushi. Salmon roll, tuna roll, spicy salmon roll, spicy tuna roll, and salmon avocado roll were all fantastic! My friend got one of the specialty roles would she really enjoyed. The bulgogi fries are easily enough to split amongst two or three people. A large bowl of crispy, piping hot waffle fries topped with a generous portion of bulgogi and topped with a healthy drizzle of spicy mayo... Yes please!! I love that they also have a Great selection of Korean and Japanese beers and spirits, including my favorite, soju. I love it even more when it's half price during happy hour. :) I've also come here for lunch and order the grilled beef salad. Overall it was good, full of crisp, fresh, delicious vegetables and a decent sized portion of beef for the price. However, the beef was cooked with some kind of sweet sauce, which I think they put on the salad too, and they put a bit too much on it. Ultimately the salad wasa bit too sweet to finish. The service here is prompt and friendly. In addition to the dining room, there's plenty of spaces to sit outside, as well as a fire pit area. I recommend sitting in the fire pit area because the seats are cushioned. Conversely, chairs outside are metal and have no cushion. They are extremely hard and uncomfortable to sit on, especially for extended periods of time. Personal opinion, this is probably one of the best restaurants in the Springfield Mall complex. read more

Went in on a Friday evening after the gym. It's right next to Lifetime. There was no wait which was nice- bar is seat yourself. Host was smiling and polite. Sat at the bar. Service was mediocre- no communication at all outside of taking my order. No check back to make sure food was good/correct, no refills, had to wait and wave him down to place another order. BUT, the energy was good overall and there were several Bartenders. Food: food was alright. Many sushi options! Came out quickly as they have food runners. I haven't tried the sushi but the Korean fried chicken is great. We picked up a platter for Super Bowl. Chicken wings and drums were twice the size of wingstop chicken. The chicken was fried well- exterior crunchy and interior meaty and juicy. It came with sauce on the side: soy garlic and "marinade" the typical yangnyeom sauce (sweet, spicy gochujang). The restaurant is an Asian fusion where you order at the register and find your own seat. They bring your food to your table when it is ready.. It was packed when we were there. We ended up sitting in the back at a bar like table with stools. I ordered the tofu Bánh mì . I have never had one before. I had no idea how big it would be. It was a full grinder. The photo I took was only half of the full sandwich. I very much enjoy it once I put Sriracha on it. It tasted amazing. I ate half of it there and took the other half back to the hotel to eat later. honestly, I wish I can find it again local to me.. my friends also enjoy their meals. The servers were friendly and lovely. The food though... The chicken wings were ginormous but bigger doesn't always mean better. The wings were dry for the most part though they were flavored nicely. They definitely were not as crispy as a regular Korean fried chicken place. Hard pass. The poke nachos were not it. Super salty, totally covered fish which did not allow the fish to shine.
