Starline is cheap, yummy, and well located! It is such an amazing family owned restaurant. If you want a quick meal or something different. I VERY much recommend! The owner is at the register everyday with a big smile! And the store is always very clean.

While passing through on a road trip we detoured here for a quick lunch. Imagine my surprise at the eclectic mix on the menu. And imagine my surprise when the bulgogi bowl knocked my socks off. But we also loved the selection of plantain chips that made for excellent road snacks which sustained us all the way to North Carolina. This place is an under the radar gem.

Grabbed lunch here with some co-workers a few times. If not for the sign, you could easily drive past this place. Parking lot is small. They're set up a like a school/work cafeteria. Seating is limited, but it wasn't full the times we went there. I've only ordered the Korean lunch box or rice bowls, which were ok, and didn't try their Latin American or Jamaican dishes. If your looking for no-frills or grab-and-go for under $15, then this is a decent place.

Pork Belly Banh Mi tasted like pork if you had Covid and couldn't taste anything.

Got the pork banh mi with fries and soda. Pork had no flavor was very bland and tough. It had to put ketchup on it to make it eatable. Still was unenjoyable. Bread was tough (was it old?) but tomato in it was fresh. Fries were so undercooked it was pale but hard. Oh and the lettuce was starting to brown on the edges. Only noticed cuz I cannot stand soggy lettuce and know the taste of rot. Can of coke was the only thing that didn't have anything wrong with it. It's a cheap place for a lot of food. I wouldn't recommend this place if ur looking to enjoy ur meal. If u need something to fill ur belly for cheap then go for it.

Starline is located in the industrial area of Fullerton Ave. Parking was a little confusing, one section of spots was 20 minute parking and the other was for the auto place next-door. We parked in the 20 minute parking and it was fine. The beef bulgogi lunchbox is a great deal and you get great quality food for the price. The cold noodles on the side were pleasantly surprising. I loved the flavor of the beef. It even had a little kick in the aftertaste. Once we added a bit of salt to the fries they were delicious. Cooked really well with just the right amount of crisp. We added the dumplings after we placed our initial order and I'm glad we did. They were crunchy on the outside and nice and chewy in the middle. I honestly have no idea what kind of meat was inside, but if I had to guess I'd say pork or beef. What I do know is the flavor was yummy! I didn't taste the quesadilla, but my husband said it was really good and that he'd order it again. I of course have to touch on the customer service. It was nothing short of amazing. We walked in to smiling faces and fast service. I know we will be back again!

Toooooooo dry . Jerk chicken with jollof rice and plantain

I really wanted to like this place but I couldn't. Ordered several dishes from Uber eats but most of them were not good. The pork belly rice wrap tasted pretty good but I found a long hair in it, I know it's not my hair because I pulled it all the way out from the wrap/burrito. The jerk chicken and Jill of rice, as well as plantain were super dry. Curry shrimp and bulgogi bento were okay.

Formerly Cocorea Deli, seems to be under new ownership. Same great food and service though. I always hit this joint when I'm in the area for work. I always get the bulgogi lunch box for under $10 and it's consistently filling and delicious! A big pile of seasoned and sauced beef, steamed rice, noodles, and kimchi. Optional miso soup is always good too. No frills, great food. Credit cards only accepted over $5 I think.

This place was quite a great find! It's basic Deli food but they have variety and it's affordable! Me and my co-worker went and had lunch there today. I had the Carne Asada Rice and Bean bowl. It was good! My co-worker got the cheesesteak platter. She said it was really good as well. We'll definitely be coming back to try out other menu items!

Don't order the jerk chicken and jollof rice. There s was no jerk in my chicken. It tasted like lightly seasoned baked chicken. It was very disappointing for me personally. I hope this was just a fluke and they don't always send it out like this. Jollof was very overcooked and dry. Plantains were very dry. I would never order this again from this place.

Service could have been more responsive, but I think that's mostly because the servers are spread too thin. And it was never made clear if we paid our server or go to the cash register. When our server never came back after dropping off the check, we just went to the register. If service had indeed been more responsive, this would have been a four star review. As to the food, we started out with the chicken wings. They had a great texture and were topped with feta cheese and an oregano sauce. JP ordered the daily soup which was chicken lemon soup. Flavor-wise, it was good and very similar to avgolemono soup, but thinner. JP also ordered a burger. The meat and bun (not Brioche, yay!) were very good. Though, we would have preferred they use a lettuce other than iceberg. The fries had an unpleasant crispy salty exterior and were mediocre at best. I had an 11" individual pizza, with pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms. The pizza was well-prepared and easy on the eyes. However, the crust on this New York-style pizza was soggy. But how did the pizza taste? It was fine.

We started with garlic cheese bread that was super cheesy and perfectly toasted! Then my husband and I got our individual pizzas (9in). They were both baked to deliciousness. So much so that I couldn't even get a "before" picture!!!! Our servers were lovely and took care of us wonderfully. I wish I had gotten their names but sadly I did not. This is a family owned business tho. We will definitely be back!! The establishment itself was not overwhelming. It's was quiet with relaxing music playing. The are and decor was beautiful as well!

Today, we were greeted quickly and warmly and shown to a table. My Dad had a huge burger, which he said was good. My sister had the Gumbo- I tasted it and it was delicious! My Caribbean chicken and shrimp would've been delicious, but the chicken was way way too salty! The shrimp and beans and rice were both good. I'm so glad I ordered the sauce on the side because it ratcheted up the salt level to briny. Our server was adequate. The dining room is in a sort of weird U-shaped to me, but and spaced to serve. The friendly Manager stopped by our table to give my little niece a toy, and check on our experience. Our food hadn't come yet, so I didn't share that I didn't enjoy my meal. Even though I didn't enjoy the dish I had, I probably come back to try the burger.

The spaghetti had a curry taste that I personally didn't enjoy, and the cocktail was way too sweet for my liking. Our server was nice, but we didn't receive silverware until after our food had already been served, which was a little frustrating especially since the restaurant was not very crowded at the time. One positive was that parking was very convenient and easy.

Despite the crowd, service was pleasant and efficient. This is a compact, rather snug restaurant. We were seated at a two-person table next to another two-person table. It was as if we were seated with the next table because the only separation was a shoulder-high board. But that was okay. JP wanted a low-carb breakfast and he was able to order what he wanted: slice tomatoes with bacon and a poached egg. I ordered the Country Fried Steak with brown gravy. I also ordered a glass of grapefruit juice. The grapefruit juice was excellent, full flavor and not sweet, like it's the real deal. I also ordered a chocolate shake. It was great and attractively presented with a cherry on top, but I had a momentary lapse and forgot to photo it. The country fried steak was excellent. It came with very good hash browns (crispy on the outside, tender on the inside), scrambled eggs and toast. Bonus points to Bob and Edith's for buttering the toast. But I'm gonna take those bonus points away because the oleo was spread on cooled-off toast and didn't melt. There's something ironic about having a decadent breakfast right in back of the LA Fitness where I work out. But that's okay, we will be back! **Note: after initially posting this review, a pop-up Compensated Alert Activity message from Yelp appeared on the B&E Yelp page saying that Yelp had evidence (a photo of a sign) that B&E's was offering a $10 certificate to write a favorable review on the various platforms including Yelp.
