Decent Thai food. Flavors are more developed at Bangkok Street (they have 3 locations). As far as value I was pretty disappointed. 16 ounce containers for $17 curries is not a reasonable price, even in this economy...I mean look at this picture. That's a SPOON in one of the containers for reference. You're going to have to spend at least $75 to feed two people here. Not sure if I'd come again, but if you don't have any other options give it a go. read more

First time here and I'm impressed...not with the restaurant's diminutive but cozy interior, or the welcoming service, but with the amazing food. I came here with a friend for lunch on a Thursday. I was relieved to see several patrons already there especially since this location feels more like an unassuming, off the beaten path, dilapidated, truck stop, hole in the wall. I ordered the Pad Thai lunch combo with the side salad and boy was the dressing on the salad sensational. It was sophisticatedly sweet and packed full of umami. I think I could eat that all day. When the Pad Thai arrived, I was also pleasantly surprised with the taste; however, two things struck me as very odd -- the thin noodles and white color! It did not have the familiar reddish look of tamarind which I thought was essential for Pad Thai. Regardless, it was delicious and I ate everything. Not a single morsel of food was left. If i weren't eating with polite company, I would have probably slurped the remaining dressing from the salad bowl. I'm definitely coming back and it shouldn't be difficult because the prices seem fairly inexpensive. read more

One of our favorite lunch spots near Fort Belvoir! We dine here often and it never disappoint, even the kids love it! The seating area is small and can be crowded during the lunch rush but they do have a very active carry out business as well. The food is always fresh and comes out quickly. Some favorites are the ocean fries, pad Thai, garlic obsession, basil fried rice, and spicy beef salad. This is our favorite place for food & has a special place in our hearts & stomachs. ------------------------ Five Stars - A Hidden very low key food gem to experience. I heard about Le Thai from a picky & very experienced foodie, cook, & beauty & spa owner in 2023 & their unique orange chicken. She said it was different from most orange chicken & her little boy loved it a lot. I finally came here, and the food was beyond my expectations. We experienced no traffic and it was easy locating the place. We went for a late brunch around 3 PM-ish. First impressions, it seemed like a very small and low key restaurant. We ended up being the only ones in the tiny restaurant - an immense delight. The other party there left after we were served our food. The ambiance was simple, quiet, and seemed like it had the decor you would see in Asian home. The menu was exciting with so many options and the lunch menu special was ideal in options and low affordable prices. I decided to get the orange chicken as a takeout and select the lunch special of green curry with chicken (an old favorite of mine) with spring rolls. My husband decided to get the shrimp fried rice. For a fun and new experience with something I never tried before. I selected the Thai Coffee (recommended by my server). My husband got the Thai Tea. Our server was Pearl. She was professional, excellent in providing recommendations, and very amicable. I liked her immediately and rarely like servers that swiftly. She expedited food and services swiftly and efficiently. She was very intuitive and required little & no prompting as a server. The Thai coffee she recommended was the best coffee I ever tasted. She mentioned how wonderful the tilapia entree was and that is in my future meal order at this place. We loved how delicious and fresh our food was. The green curry was good. My husband ate all of his shrimp fried rice quickly despite not feeling hungry. The portions were large for such low prices. I ate only half of my green curry and half of one spring roll. Saved the rest for dinner and had it packaged to go with my orange chicken take out. We plan to make this a future date place and a place to order food from in the near future. The best way to order food is through them directly and not through other services like Grub hub. Above and beyond at this tiny eatery: I described a dish i had once eaten and they tried to recreate it for me. They may be small (5 tables) but the food quality is high--and the takeout/delivery drivers constantly coming in are proof of that. I enjoyed fried tofu before my custom curry dish. I've had take out from here twice, both times it was solid! They're really thoughtful in how they send out wings - they cut the corners of the top of the box to let steam escape so they don't lose their crisp! As far as I can tell that's the only place they cut corners. The pad see ew I first had was lovely, great value on the spring rolls, my wife had the green thai curry and it was phenomenal. I unfortunately didn't have a great pad Thai experience the second time, it was a little bit of a funky flavor and smell that was a little off-putting. I definitely believe it was a one off based on the consistency of everything else coming out of the kitchen. We finished up our second take out order with a Buddha salad and by the time I turned around it was gone! It was highly recommended by my wife... Best place you'll visit in the area! Location: Perfect; near Fort Belvoir, but away from overly crowded traffic locations. Parking: Spacious and not crowded during mid day operation. Restaurant: Small, maybe 10-12 tables, but we were alone most of meal during 3pm time frame which was very peaceful. Service: Fast, accurate, and nice. Food: Delicious options for everyone. Recommend the shrimp fried rice. They don't offer yum yum sauce, but no need for added sauce when the meal is cooked to perfection. Drinks: Recommend the Tai Coffee, sweet iced coffee better than any Starbucks. Also, had the Tai tea which was also an iced delight. Technology: This place has an ordering tablet at their counter for placing an order to go and their website design is clean modern easy to read found easily on their business cards which shows full menu, location, and hours of operation. I had the pad thai and spring rolls. The pad thai was different than other Thai places I've been too. It had the thin noodles but I niece they add thicker noodles as well (which I wasn't upset about because it made the dish more filling and is a HUGE bang for your buck). The spring rolls were good. My brother and I drove by and saw a strip mall align with multiple eateries in which we had to choose on this rainy day. This restaurant is small, cozy and manageable. They have some decor and you're greeted immediately with a smile. You can feel the warmth and easygoing melodies while you eat. We ordered four items: 1) Massaman curry 2) Drunken noodle 3) Mango sticky rice 4) Coconut tres leches. The massaman curry was good but a tad sweet for our taste. The sweetness of the broth overpowered the spicy flavor that we were use to. The drunken noodles with beef were on point. It had the right amount of heat that will make your forehead sweat ..lol. It was very aromatic and so far the best I've tasted. For the mango sticky rice was a plus especially with pandan infused in the coconut sticky rice but unfortunately we can't predict how sweet the mango will be. It was tasty though. The highlight of our trip was the coconut tres leches. We were both surprised of how moist, divine and absolutely delicious it was! If I could, I would order this cake for my next birthday. It's been a while since I ordered here but was craving Thai so Uber eats some dinner. I ordered panang curry, papaya salad, regular sticky rice, sweet sticky rice, and tres leches and received a free order of egg rolls. The panang curry is always my favorite there with amazing rich flavor and tender chicken. The papaya salad had more sauce and flavor I just should have ordered it a little spicier. The sticky rice was a wild black rice which I was skeptical about but it was delicious and an amazing texture. I haven't tried dessert yet but they look delicious! read more

I was really feeling like pad Thai, so that's what we went with. The pad Thai was top notch. The sauce was absolutely perfect and the heat level was exactly as expected. The chicken was perfectly good and I felt like the portions and price were good for what you get. It's about $12 a piece for the two meals. We also got the pineapple fried rice with chicken and while that was still good, it was not as good as my local option. The fried rice was fried, but could have been fried a bit longer. I could have also used a bit of cilantro in it and a little more pineapple or the chunks of pineapple cut smaller. Overall, I would eat here again, but would try something else and keep the pad Thai! There is a small section for dine in, but we ordered to go. The staff was very pleasant and the food was quickly made. Took less than 10 minutes and was still piping hot after a couple miles drive. read more

Parking is readily available without any issues. It is a small location with a family putting together the order without much of a sit down area in the restaurant. It was my first time trying massaman curry (usually get Panang curry) and I was very happy with it. Nicely steamed broccoli and carrots and potatoes and a good serving of rice. I went several times prior to COVID when you could sit in and have a quiet lunch, this last time I ordered take out of one of my favorite dishes-Crispy Basil Tilapia (The Basil Fried Rice is a close 2nd) and I'm happy to report- it's still good. I ordered the spiciest level you can #3 and it's enough kick to make my nose run but isn't too spicy to eat. I ordered from the Yelp app which unfortunately doesn't have the lunch specials that you can get if you order from the restaurant directly, so if you're trying for the first time you'd get great value by calling in a lunch menu option. Decided to meet the fam out for dinner on a chilly Wednesday night and we were all craving delicious, no frills, filling Thai food. Le Thai more than delivered! It's not much from the outside, situated in an industrial park, but the minute you enter, you are greeted with a smile and smells that overwhelm in the best way. We were the only group inside but there were at least a dozen people that came in during our meal to pick up, so clearly this place is respected by locals. Every one of us was thoroughly impressed with our food. I can honestly say that it is some of the most delicious Thai food I've had since I visited Thailand. I also love how flexible they are in vegan-izing dishes. And I have to admit that their 5/5 spice level is almost deadly (I asked for it!). My brother loved his fried tilapia dish and my dad loved his shrimp fried rice. I cried happy (spicy) tears gobbling down my tofu/veggie wild curry - and had more than enough leftover to eat the next day. Who doesn't love that? The spring rolls were also super fresh - piping hot and delicately crispy! Don't sleep on the stir fried eggplant either - would order that again in a heartbeat. Finally be sure to finish your meal with an order of mango sticky rice. Best I've had anywhere because their mangoes were perfectly ripe and the flavors were perfectly balanced (and it was ooey gooey, with a nice interplay between the cold fruit and warm rice!). Hole in the wall joint with pretty good Thai food. I've been to Thailand before and know what authentic food tastes like. They are pretty close compared to most spots around the DMV. They offer competitive pricing and they are very respectful with customers which is always a PLUS! The indoor seating is not much because they do a lot of to go orders from what it seems, but they prepare your food in a way that it stays hot and fresh for to go orders which is honestly one of the best to go spots I've ever had. I definitely recommend them and I believe they're even open later than most other places which is a huge plus as well! The Panang curry is good but only once I ordered it and it was kinda watery but the orange chicken is so damnnnnn good!! Im still going to try the panang again tho! read more

Pretty good takeout. Solid choice for thai with fresh tasting food and great carry out service. We had a large order on a Saturday night. We also had a couple special requests. Even considering all of that, we had a good experience. Spring rolls are crispy but average tasting. The pad thai is sweeter than I prefer but the noodles are perfectly chewy and overall it's still an above average pad Thai. The spicy eggplant is simply stellar -- truly spicy with plenty of eggplant. Siamese beef was average, not particularly flavorful. Bikini shrimp is was perfectly cooked and a real hit with my husband; best eaten with the dipping sauce they provide. The massaman curry with chicken is also delicious with plenty of chicken pieces and the perfect medium spicy. Overall there was nothing specifically wrong with it, but nothing specifically memorable about it. read more

(4.5/5) The "asian noodle" dish was also pretty good. Similar to a pad see ew dish but I wasn't blown away. (4/5) Now for the desserts. I love their coconut cake, especially if you let the coconut milk soak in-- it's similar to a coconut tres leches. I've always enjoyed it more on the second day, but it's a great item for the price. (5/5) In contrast, could not recommend the ube coconut pie. I LOVE taro/ube, but this pie lacked flavor and was unremarkable. If you have a sweet tooth, go for the coconut cake. Exceptional! We started with an order of spring rolls which had the perfect crunchy exterior with clean, crisp veggies filling every ounce of the interior. Our main course consisted of Pad Thai - one with chicken and one with shrimp. Both were perfectly prepared and the flavor was spot on from the first bite, lasting through the final reheat of the leftovers. For desert we chose the mango sticky rice. It was beautifully prepared but the beauty of the dish does not even compare to the flavor. Fresh mango, blueberries, and THAT sauce. Let's just say no leftovers went home with us. The service was equally as impressive. The interior is small with maybe 5 tables but we were comfortable and enjoyed the space. Throughout our meal there was a steady stream of customers picking up orders. I certainly understand why. If I lived in this area I would stop once a week just to get my "fix". Randomly stopped in after finding this place on yelp and saw it was on the route home. Not a typical area I would think a good lil restaurant would be at but pleasantly surprised. Food was amazing. Super flavorful. Tom yum was delish, great portion size for a bowl, it had 4 pieces of shrimp. I could have easily shared it with someone else instead of getting my own. The papaya salad was a hearty portion as well. We got medium spiciness and it was pretty spicy. Star of the meal was the drunken noodles. A great portion size to share with someone else. The noodles were cooked to perfection and the flavor was absolutely amazing, we didn't wanna stop eating it. The mango sticky rice was a good ending to the meal.
