Love this place! Great food, lightning fast takeout! Highly recommend! We've been slowly working our way through the menu for the past 6 months. Our family loves this place for takeout. When calling in an order they usually only need 10 minutes. Our little kids love the chicken w/ cashew nuts and the steamed dumplings. Dad's favorite is the egg rolls. Mom likes the sesame beef and lo mein w/ pork. Kung pao chicken, crispy shredded beef, and crab rangoons are also favorites. I went to chopstick over 6 months ago and wasn't impressed. Recently I went in and noticed the decor is a lot nicer and the staff is extremely friendly. I also noticed there is some authentic Szechuan dishes on their menu and decided to take a chance. Well, I'll have to say they are legit! Let's start with the good - our food arrived extremely quickly. We ordered off the GrubHub app and our food got to us in about 15 minutes and we live about seven minutes away from this place. However, I now realize that our food got to us so quickly because it was either pre-cooked or it was cooked very fast. At least that is what I figure. I very much like Chopsticks Express at the Huntsman Square shopping center. It is Chinese take-out only, but don't let that dissuade you from trying it! I typically pick up lunch here when home on a weekday. I select one of the Executive Lunch Box specials that incldue a main dish, fried rice, and a egg roll. Most recently I had Szechwan Chicken. Ordered the Gen Tsao's lunch special with white rice and the Combinaton Lo Mein with fried rice. Both lunch specials came with a spring roll. $7.95 each. The meals came in the separated plastic reusable containers which I liked. I ran to Giant to get something I had forgotten after ordering from this place. It still wasnt ready when I returned so I strapped my kids up in the minivan and parked at the curb. One of the employees came out of the store as I got out of my car to approach the store (which was nice). So, food taste? Actually, not too shabby. The chicken was fried dark meat pieces (which I prefer) and there were plenty of chicken! The lo mein was pretty tasty, but could do without the napa since it has a bitter tinge but replaced with some green cabbage. The fried rice actually had some wok hei to it! I went to this restaurant today to buy lunch for the people working on my house. I ordered beef and broccoli, and two orders of shrimp and broccoli. These three platters were enough for three people. I called the other in,by phone and by the time that I drove over there, the food was ready and placed into a brown bag. The one thing that was really cool is that they provided canned soda for free. Usually other Chinese restaurants want to charge out the nose for drinks. They all sat quietly on the back deck eating and watching soccer on their cellphones. The Foreman of the group gave me great thanks for buying his team lunch, and said that everyone enjoyed their Chinese food. The prices at this store we're comparable to the chain Chinese restaurants, but I believe that the give a little bit more portions from here. First time trying this place. I ordered our food via a delivery service. We ordered Won Ton soup, Pu Pu Platter, cashew chicken and an order of crispy shrimp and walnuts. The bill came to $35.21. My cashew chicken was delicious BUT they put mushrooms in the recipe? I hate mushrooms. They're like rubber chew toys. I have eaten cashew chicken from hundreds of Chinese restaurants and I have never seen mushrooms in the mix. As far as the rest of the meal, all was delicious though it was tough splitting the PuPu Platter because everything was so tasty but there was only one of each item. We come here just for their orange chicken and pork fried rice but this time around, just all white meat orange chicken. Chopsticks is a bit out of he way but they have the best orange chicken. Reliable Chinese takeout. Not special but reliably good. Always fast and accurate. If you want something a notch better go for one of the Cantonese style dishes. Shrimp with lobster sauce is surprisingly excellent. But the standbys will be as you expect. I love that they offer white meat chicken or fried rice for a reasonable upcharge. My go to takeout. I also like that they use beyond menu and have their own delivery guy. That app takes a reasonable 5 percent from the restaurant unlike grubhub which takes 20 percent or more AND gouges the customer as well. read more

Anyone that knows me, knows I have had a hard time finding good take out. I have been here a couple of times, since it is in my neighborhood. The food is always good. My husband gets the Generals Chicken, and I tend to flip between the Generals and the Garlic Beef. The chicken is always juicy and has a nice crisp breading and the sauce is always very flavorful. I will say even if you tell them extra spicy, don't hold your breath... Unless I have just burned my taste buds to the point of not recognizing heat at all, It is a bit on the sweet side, but still yummy. The beef is a good quality cut, not full of fat and a nice garlicy brown sauce, but again, I couldn't get it hot enough for my taste. But I am used to things hot enough to numb your tongue :-) I will say, the Wonton soup was made with pork broth I think and was odd tasting to me, not bad, just different than what I was used to. The biggest reason I didn't give 5 stars is the price. For 2 dinner entrees and a small soup was 27$, and that was with no bells or whistles. But on occasion, I don't mind paying a little more for quality food. read more

Nothing special. Our normal go to was closed for renovations. The service was super fast and they were very nice, but the food lacked flavor, and vegetables. Crab Rangoon was so sweet that it seemed like it was supposed to be for dessert, General tso's was soggy, fried rice was mush, and the lo mein seemed like poorly dressed up spaghetti noodles. I am somewhat of a Chinese takeout snob, when I lived in Potomac Yard (Alexandria) I tried at least 5 places and couldn't find one I would want to order from again. When we moved to Newington Forest the previous owners left this as a place they strongly recommended ordering from. I am so glad they did. We order a couple times a month and I love their general tsos chicken and their egg rolls. They make their food crispy so you don't have nasty soggy Chinese food. Delivery is free and always timely.
