    two trays of food

Always come here for fresh roast/peking duck and pig. Come early in the day as they sell out fast and close once they're sold out. Typically the batch of duck and pig is really around noon, there are times, everything is sold out by 5pm. Prices are less compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area. The lady behind the counter is really nice. When I order a pound of roast pig, she sometimes add a few extra pieces. They also have other options too such as chicken, and a few Vietnamese deli item (buns, pork grinds, etc)

Inside fresh world el grande grocery, off to the left. Very friendly and clean. You can see them prepare your order! Duck, chicken and toast pork. Different kinds of bao/buns! And more! Enjoy! Near St. James on industrial drive.

Lured by the promise of hot tasty pork belly, I just couldn't resist. Was doing my weekly produce shopping in the Fresh World International Market and noticed a new business had opened over in the "food court" area. The lady working the counter chats away friendly with each customer that comes up to the counter. Not sure what language it was, but she switched over to English when it was my turn. She made sure to trim my pork belly so I wasn't paying for all fat and asked me if I wanted it chopped up. I just wanted a big chunk (would take care of slicing and chopping at home). So she weighed and priced my order, then she proceeded to shove even more of the tender juicy meat in the container. :-) I could barely make it through the rest of my shopping. I was dizzy from the aroma coming from the package in my cart. And you bet I popped open that puppy when I got in the car and drove down the highway happily chewing away on my yummy purchase.

The service was very friendly and fast. The work area was also very clean. When the man chopped the head off my duck I asked if I could have it. He then smiled a friendly smile and said of course. Also the prices are fair and the food is amazing. The only complaint I have is there are no menus available. Will def. Be going back. A true hidden gem.

A small deli type counter inside Fresh World supermarket carrying an assortment of bbq and roasted meats. They also carry a small assortment of baked goods, desserts, pickled veggies and cha lua ( Vietnamese ham). Unfornately they don't have a menu but I do know they have other dishes. My dad has ordered a fried tofu dish from here on many occasions. And we've also gotten a large tray of stir fry noodles catered for parties from here. They make a lemongrass chicken that is amazing!! The salt and pepper chicken comes with a ginger sauce that's ok. They also make soy sauce chicken which my brother really enjoys. For the most part prices are pretty reasonable.

The atmosphere: The restaurant is spacious, and I like it when the outdoor area is open since it has a shaded setup and a fire pit. Otherwise, there's still plenty of indoor seating. The food: We started with the Korean Fried Chicken in the soy garlic flavor, which was probably my favorite part of the meal. It came out hot and crispy. We also ordered two rolls, the Double Toro Roll and the Double Salmon Roll. Both were drenched in a Japanese dressing or soy-based sauce, which caused them to fall apart almost immediately after picking them up. The flavor was overly sour and salty, making it hard to taste the freshness of the fish. Overall, the balance of flavors felt completely off. We also tried the Spicy Crunchy Tuna Bites, and to our surprise, the only crunchy element was a small part of the outer rice shell. Everything else was chewy and overloaded with mayo, so it wasn't a favorite for us. The service: The service was a bit touch-and-go throughout the meal.

We ordered shrimp sushi, chicken udon noodles, and chicken basil rice. We skipped ordering extra curry at first because we weren't sure about the portion sizes--and honestly, good call. The portions were huge. Definitely more than one person's meal. We couldn't even finish two of the items and had to pack them up to take home. Ordering curry on top of that would've been total overkill. Food-wise, everything tasted fresh and well-balanced. Not overly salty, which I really appreciated. The flavors were enjoyable without being heavy. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated--calm, clean, and inviting. Overall, a very satisfying experience. They had several specialties that I had not heard of so I got what I knew would sit well with me- the California Roll platter. We laughed about the item I wanted to order not being available. They were attentive to the older ladies I was with. No complaints. The server is why this is two stars instead of one. Sadly, the food. Sigh. I know all these fusion places are disappointing, but mom wanted to come here. I asked if I could get the salad I wanted without the beef it comes with, but the answer was no. After reading the way too big menu twice, I ordered what I knew would be an incredibly sad drunken noodle. I'm not sure the restaurant knows what drunken noodle is. Does Fuse Box exist in an alternate pocket dimension where drunken noodle, with no listed fusion on the menu other than a strange "contains peanuts" warning, is drenched in a sweet peanut sauce even though it's listed as spicy with two peppers next to it on the menu? Where the noodles are just weird soggy mush? Where the spiciness rating scale might actually be a sweet sugar scale instead? Yes. Yes it does. Don't eat here. Just don't. I refused to eat my food. With FB, you're fortunate to explore a sampling of Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai & Vietnamese dishes respectively. The DIFFERENCE from most Asian fusion places is that each dish is a cultural stand alone. For example, if you order Kim Chee fried rice, you'll get a Kim Chee fried rice that you'd get at a Korean restaurant. Fried pork chops? Classic Vietnamese flavors.
