Mannnnn... this was 12 out of 10. My wife and I came here after church, since she was craving Chinese food, and we were floored with how delicious & fresh the food was. We loved everything we had: sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, white rice, and chicken lo mein. It was amazing... Bonus: We loved that the portions were basically shareable for the table. We had plenty leftovers for a late dinner and lunch the next day. It was quiet when we went on Sunday afternoon, but definitely have to go back for the food. Service was great!!! Our waitress was fun, hospitable, and ON IT!! She helped box our food and all. Such a nice and affordable experience. We will certainly make our way back to this place for Chinese food in the future. Was greeted nicely during our pick up order. Reviewed the order and thought that is a touch of professionalism. The soups were on point, yummy and full of flavor. The Hot and Sour soup and egg drop soup is traditional in taste. The fried dumplings had fresh meat and were some of the best I tasted in Springfield. My daughter and I visited Asian Grill today for lunch. The service is excellent. We had a very attentive waitress. We started with egg rolls and we were told the sauces were made in house. Watch out for that mustard. It was so spicy. I ordered Mongolian beef and my daughter ordered sesame chicken. Both were huge portions. Both dishes were flavorful and well prepared. Extremely slow service on Christmas Eve at 5:30pm. They should have stopped taking phone and online orders to be able to serve the people eating in. We sat at a table for 45 minutes with two small kids and no food, before we finally got up and left. Others had been sitting much longer waiting for their food. I can't understand the ratings on Yelp for Asian Grill(4.2) . I'm not sure which was worse, the food or the service. My elderly Mother and I ate there last Monday evening and the restaurant was empty at 6 PM. That scared me and I soon found out why. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and my Mom ordered the chicken chow mein. I found my sweet and sour chicken deep fried and watery. My Mom actually liked her Chicken Chow Mein with (watery chicken and deep fried noodles). Apparently, she hasn't eaten real Chinese food. They also charged my Mom $9 for a single spring roll. When it came time for the check they took my Mother's credit card and ran an additional charge of $38 which they still haven't credited back yet, despite my calls last week. I guess they took us for naive , white tourists. Springfield deserves better than this! read more

Came here for Sunday lunch and the place was surprisingly empty, so we were seated right away. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Food did not take long to come out. Overall, the food was just average, and prices a little high. The dishes we ordered were generally salty because the waitress said they add MSG -- sesame chicken, chicken with broccoli, egg drop soup. Sesame chicken had too much batter around the meat. The crispy wings appetizer was tasty, and not oily. The waitress stated to ask for no MSG when ordering next time. The only dish that was not too salty and tasted good was the mandarin combination. The place is a little bit old and needs some renovation. Lots of free parking. Maybe, I'll give this place another chance since they have such a large menu selection. read more

We tried the Asian Grill for the first time on the occasion of our nephew visiting from College. This restaurant had been recommended to us by three different friends. They did not disappoint! The staff was very friendly and the food was tasty and plentiful. We were impressed by the variety offered in the menu and especially noticed the several vegan offerings as some of our younger family members are vegan. This place is such a hidden gem. Our family of four dropped in after some time at the nearby playground and the kids were enamored with the fish tank. The owner came over and promised to let them feed the fish if they finish their dinner. He was so kind and friendly and the kids warmed up instantly giving him high fives. He let us take the biggest table in the place with the lazy Susan even though we didn't have a party of six to appease our excited daughters. We ordered broccoli tofu, vegan general Tso's chicken and chicken lo mien for the girls. They had brown rice which is a win. All of the food was great and came out instantly. We inhaled it before we could take pictures. The jasmine tea was also great. And they gave us free ice creams with fortune cookies for each of our girls! BLUF:. Food is on par with most family style Asian restaurants. The standouts are in service and cocktails. Four of us went on a Saturday evening. One got one of the healthy dishes they offer, one got moo goo gai pan, I tried the Thai red curry, and the other person got Mongolian beef. The person who got moo goo gai pan rated it as about average, as did the person who got the healthy meal. The Mongolian beef eater rated it has a little bit above average. My Curry was actually quite tasty, so I would give it 4 out of 5 stars. The the cocktails we had were both flavorful and made with an honest pour, meaning it didn't seem like they scrimped on the alcohol to save money. The servers are also very friendly and attentive. In the end it was about a three or a little higher for the food but the score got brought up by the service and the cocktails. I'd go back if I was in the area but I wouldn't actively plan to go back to that place in particular, because the food quality was really not much better than than other places that are more convenient read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This used to be my go to Chinese food place. But... I placed an order online, including soup. The total, with tax, was shown to be $28.57. I got a call that the crunchy noodles were $0.75. I said that was fine. When my husband got my order home, he said it was over $30. Then, they forgot my soup. When I called to ask a credit, they said they didn't charge me for soup and that the noodles were $1.50, not the $0.75 they claimed when they called. I asked how it was more without the soup than it was with. They asked how I ordered and I had to explain three times I ordered on their website. They finally said they would give me a credit, but they were incredibly rude the entire time. Just as importantly, the food that I did get was horrible. The crab wontons were greasy and had sparse, dry filling. The chicken was greasy and had too much thickening agent for the texture to be right. We are done with them. read more

The 2 lady's that worked today were outstanding and got me all my food and then some, I ordered sesame chicken and broccoli beef and did try their steamed dumplings. The portions were generous and everything tasted fresh and was well seasoned, not bland at all. When I got my food she said she put a little extra in there and when I got home I found soup that I didn't order and let me tell you I am not a fan of soup but I could not stop eating it was just THAT good. We've been going to/ordering out from this Asian restaurant for many years(even back when it was under a different name). This place has not disappointed on any of our visits. Eat in or to go, they always take care of us. During the COVID19 crazy days, the owner was kind enough to share his home made chocolate chip cookies that his wife made. They always acknowledge and recognize me(I do the pickup). Our orders are usually $50 - $75 orders and EVERYTIME the Manager/Owner(Mr. or Mrs. Ho) offers a free soup or free wontons(oh yeah, the food is always money and delicious BTW). My only go to Chinese restaurant nowadays in Springfield(Terriaki Grill is now closed and Magic Wok is just so so these days). read more
