Food is always fresh and hot. We have been using this spot for 15 years. Closed on Mondays. Lunch specials are a good deal and they come with a soda. They have different dinner specials too! read more

Food is decent, the guy running the register and kitchen is nice to customers, makes no mistake taking orders, I can't say the same about the rude "lady" always with a bad attitude. I paid for 2 meals I only got one, when I complained she insults me. Said I only paid for 1 meal, receipt only shows the amount paid not the items bought. This is not the first time she has done this to me and my coworkers. I'm done with this place. I'm taking my money somewhere else. read more

Great food, and they have a lunch special. Tiny place, but they cook fast and serve fast! It is on our rotation list options! read more

China Garden - Sesame Chicken, Gen Tso, Pancake and Rangoons. LL VERY DELISH AND FILLING! - Chinese Near Me - Alexandria, Virginia

First time here and from the reviews seems to be the best place ever- not sure if it's what we're ordered but it didn't sit well for my husband-too greasy. He was up most of the night. He got sweet n sour chicken ( no veggies came with it) and fried rice. I got the puppy platter, which was 2 ribs-tasty, 2 egg rolls-best thing, 4 shrimp deep fried and crunchy-good, cream cheese wontons-delicious, pork something also deep fried-burnt-no a fan, and 2 wings-large deep fried and so very fatty-not a fan. May have to try something else next time to see if it's better. Have had better in AZ, $31.75 read more

Upon receiving our order, my husband bit into a piece of chicken and chomped on an old nail that was cooked into the chicken! When he called the restaurant, the only response he received was, "we've never had any complaints". We won't be ordering from here again. read more

China Garden - a person's hand holding a tiny piece of food - Chinese Near Me - Alexandria, Virginia

great value and delicious food. The general tso chicken is pretty good and portions are huge. My go to Chinese take out joint.

Pretty solid American Chinese food place. They give pretty solid portions, cook the vegetables pretty well, and the meats taste pretty good. The meat is usually the big slices, so definitely a good delicious mouthful to down. Word of advice is to try to stick to the American Chinese classics like Beef and Broccoli or General Tsos Chicken. I will add that the string beans are solid too. Dinner usually tastes better because they have a better chef in house during that time. read more

China Garden - Beef and Broccoli - Chinese Near Me - Alexandria, Virginia

Best broccoli beef in the area. Hot, fresh, tender, flavorful beef with broccoli done perfectly in a delicious brown sauce. Friendly service, owners always appreciative. Simple, small, Chinese restaurant with dine-in or carry-out options. Ample strip mall parking. read more

Last few times we've ordered from here the food was consistent and delicious! We love the General Tso's chicken (white meat, no broccoli, and extra spicy is how we order it!) Looking forward to trying other items! :-) read more

Solid place for some (American style) Chinese food. Spring rolls are hot and perfectly crisp. The vegetable fried rice is what you would expect it to be, no more no less. Broccoli with garlic sauce was very tasty, a large portion size, and actually filled with broccoli which I always appreciate. My husband found the Szechuan chicken to be exactly as he would expect from an above average Take-out Chinese food place: good amount of chicken (didn't use veggies as filler), well seasoned without being salty and overly greasy, and just the right amount of heat he was hoping for. Appreciated that they have more than two for vegetarians and appreciated the option to sub brown rice for white, which made me feel just a little bit better about the health profile of the meal! Would happily order from here again. read more

Hello, my current go-to Chinese food delivery place! I definitely wouldn't say I'm in a committed relationship with China Garden, but it's getting a little serious. We've ordered here about 3 times now for delivery and I don't see us switching to a new place anytime soon. The customer service is great and they're so quick! I haven't personally been to the restaurant, so I can only rate this place based on the food and the service. Top picks are their Sweet and Sour Pork, House Special Fried Rice, BBQ Spare Ribs, and their Chicken Wings. They also make the standard egg drop soup, which I love, and their spring rolls are pretty tasty, too! I would avoid the Kung Pao Shrimp though. I was disappointed with that one. If you're craving some Chinese food and you're too lazy to leave your house, order from here! read more

This is our local fast Chinese food place. It is right around the corner with typical American Chinese food. It's fast, they're friendly and managed to stay open during Covid. We eat here regularly. You get what you expect with nothing too fancy. read more

Good food, reasonably priced. I always order the wide flat rice noodles, family likes them.

We did carry out here for our movers, and it turned out great. Spicy shrimp fried rice actually had a little heat, and they gave us plenty of silverware and fortune cookies! read more

China Garden - a take out box of rice with a fork - Chinese Near Me - Alexandria, Virginia

We always enjoy the food. It's always fresh tasty and the service is impeccable. I have been a regular customer for the last five years and not one single day. I've had a bad meal from them. It's not a fancy place, but it's a great carry out run by a family. Give them a try. read more

Tried this place out for the first time today, shrimp fried rice and chicken fried rice was delicious! Definitely American style Chinese food but much better than Panda Express across the street. I only gave a 4 star since we only had the fried rice. read more

Is it cheap Chinese food? Yeah. Is the delivery slow if you live miles away? Yeah. This isn't Peking Duck or FedEx guys! For less than $10 for most meals, you need to come back to Earth! I've been to so many Chinese takeouts that I lost count long ago. I'm good at math btw. Anyways, this place/location is one of the best I've been too. I've been to Chinese takeouts in shady areas where the pavement looks like a jackhammer was just used and where the grass never gets cut. I've been to other Chinese takeouts that are in fancy neighborhoods but the food is plastic. Then there is China Garden. Not sure what to say about the menu. You've seen one, you've seen them all - literally. I swear the same dude makes the menu for every Chinese takeout in the nation. I wonder how rich he is lol. The location itself is in a pretty good area that is not brand new, but definitely not old where you are guessing rats and other rodents. A huge plus is that this is right off of base and reputation is everything. Make one soldier sick and you can forget about business from another thousand. For $10, you can't complain. The portions here are great. And I am not talking about getting something like Chicken & Broccoli with just a lot more broccoli. I mean they really pack on the chicken. And for the reviewer comparing this to Panda Express. Wrong! Panda Express cooks a ton of food, lets it sit all day, serves it to you, and you wonder why the food tastes bad. Here, the kitchen is open so you can see they are cooking food around the clock. Everything is made fresh - with exception to maybe the rice. Overall, China Garden is a solid bang for your buck! read more

Decided to stop by, was in the mood for some Chinese food. The inside is small and does not seem pleasant, but nothing I'm surprised with considering it's a delivery Chinese place. Ordered an order of fried dumplings, small order of double cooked pork, and the lunch special general tsos chicken. The total came to be about $20, not bad. The dumplings weren't very good, the sauce they gave with it made it a whole lot better though. The lunch special general tsos was a good sized portion, but the chicken did not taste very moist or good. Not bad but not good. The double cooked pork was good but it was 3/4 vegetables. It was what I expect from Chinese takeout though so whatever. All in all, not bad price and taste. But not good either read more

This is one of those fast food Chinese places where you wonder how many rats are in the kitchen and whether they defecated on the food they're about to prepare. Nonetheless, when you're hungry, you still march forward since you sort of knew what to expect when you walked in. This is exactly what I did and decided to get the beef with broccoli, or what I like to call NUMBER SEEEVEN!!! I have to say, it was pretty much what I expected. Cheap Chinese food that wasn't so great. I would say this place is about as good as Panda Express. read more

Love this Chinese restaurant! My go to. They deliver in a timely manner, don't skimp on sauces or sides, and portion sizes are great for value. Love the kung pao chicken and lo mein. Huge menu with lots of options. Tons of drink options as well. Recommend highly to anyone read more

This is a good place to get some take out Chinese food if you are in local area, or if you want something different than Panda Express across the way. There really isn't anything that sets this one apart from the rest of the Chinese take out places. You have your standard menu of choices as well as Lunch specials to choose from. Service was quick and the people are friendly. read more

Oh the life of a security guard, forever on the hunt for good delivery food. China garden has probably my favorite Gen Tso's chicken, it has this garlicky thing about it that I love. And the chicken is good, almost crispy but right on the cusp. It just really is my favorite Gen Tso's ever. If China garden would get egg rolls, the right kind, instead of or in conjunction with their spring rolls there'd be no stopping them. The spring rolls however are pretty awesome, for spring rolls. There's miniature shrimp inside and it makes up for any other grievances I might have with spring rolls. So I'll just have to order the spring rolls for now but honestly I'm not complaining they're pretty legit Best thing ever? THEY HAVE CANNED PEPSI!! Oh China Garden how did you know? The quickest way to my heart is with cold Pepsi in a can, *love sigh* I also ordered their marinated teriyaki beef on a stick, really good. It's very well marinated but not seasoned. And while I'm no expert in Chinese cuisine, I think it would be a touch better if they'd season the steak :/ I dunno. Yea, If ya need to eat but can't leave your seat, give China garden a call they'll...bring you lunch read more

This place charges full price for plain lo mein noodles!! Unreasonable management. All I wanted was vegetable lo mein with veggies on side. Super aggressive woman on the other end stated they will not do it and they charge full price for plain noodles. Sigh. Picky eaters avoid here. read more

We've been regulars here for the past 3 years, always great except for tonight. Eating our usual spring roll order and in it was this piece of glass. I immediately contacted them and they at first seemed confused, I had to keep repeating that it was glass and that I wanted them to know and if by some chance someone broke a glass in the prep area they should clean the area. I was a little put off that I was told that they couldn't attend to it now and made me feel like I was lying i was offered a credit of free spring rolls next time... I advised that they weren't taking my concern seriously and we would not be ordering spring rolls again. I understand stuff happens, but glass in the kitchen is a no no and the response is not how it should have been handled. Afraid to eat the rest of our dinner. read more

So first the negative. Thought I ordered a vegetable roll but giving the benefit of the doubt if I selected spring roll there was no description and it had shrimp in which I'm allergic to. Took a nice bite. The meat in the spring roll needs to be identified on electronic menu. Husband got General Tsos chicken and he loved it. I ordered the Hunan Chicken and it also was really good. Crab rangoon's also were really good for my husband. I did not like the dumplings they were doughy and tough. read more

Always fresh, always lots to eat and extremely tasty. In my opinion, it's the best Chinese in the area. Let it be known I have only tried two other Chinese places close by off route 1 and on Belvoir. So there may be better just haven't tried it. Why, when this place is so great?! read more

Awesome! I stopped in for a late lunch, i was the only one dining in which was nice. I ordered the general tso chicken, fried rice, spring roll and a wonton soup to go.. so i could eat that as my supper. Let me tell you.. when they brought my food out I was blown away.. 2 plates!! One entirely of chicken and one entirely of rice!! Lets just say i ended up eating it for supper as well. I loved the crispiness and tastiness of the spring roll and the best part.. the wonton soup.. the broth wasnt dark or muggy, super flavorful and there was no mystery meat inside the wonton you could clearly tell what was in it! Not the place if you are looking for gourmet Chinese food, but it will do if you are looking for something filling and don't feel like spending a lot of money. Service was quick. I called in my order and the food was ready when I went to pick up about 15 minutes later. The portions are generous even though they are listed as small on the menu.
