pork and Shrimp & Pork Dumplings, Chicken Soup Dumplings
    Loan L.

Stopped by for a late meal, was craving dumplings and dan dan doodle. The dumplings tasted more like frozen one, and it had a weird aftertaste, was not enjoyable. The thai tea did not taste like the traditional/ normal ones you usually get at other places. The dan dan noodles was pretty decent, super spicy but not bad. The service could definitely be a lot better. The interior is gorgeous though, to be honest i think that's the only best part. But the neighbor customer ordered their main entree, looked pretty pleasing. maybe i'll give another try but so far, not great. ):

My boyfriend and I went to China a few years ago and we have been searching for good Shanghai dumplings/pork buns in the area ever since. I saw they had them in the menu and that's why we came here for dinner on Friday night. It was not busy at all when we were there but they had a steady food pickup. In addition to the dumplings/pork buns we got the chicken soup dumplings and the string beans. Everything overall was pretty tasty. The Shanghai buns came with a serving of 5 - 2 of them were seasoned nicely inside and the other 3 were bland with no spices. Not sure what happened between those batches. The string beans were a bit salty but otherwise excellent. I did like the soup dumplings but would try something else next time. We will be back to give the buns another try and also to try some of the other dishes. The staff were all very friendly as well.

This place is turning out to be a family favorite. The food is consistently good and our server always looks to take care of us. There plenty of free parking so going here is no trouble at all. The setting is very casual. We continue trying new dishes but definitely have some favorites that are hard not to order because they are so good. Some favorites are the fried string beans and chongqing chicken. We recently tried the Dan Dan noodles, which were very good (but I think I make better). I loved the noodles themselves and there was a perfect amount of meat and sauce. My family really loves the mayo tofu.

I came to try the soup dumplings and left with pork buns. The pork buns were exceptionally good! Very soft, delicious and tasty! Soup dumplings were also tasty. I did a carry out order, so service was fast. And it's a cute little casual restaurant with ample seating as they didn't seem particularly busy with dine in customers

Ordered takeout when I was in town staying with some friends. I wasn't privy to knowing what we ordered but there was a smorgasbord of items. They were all amazing. My takeaway from this is either: 1. My friends have really nailed which the best items in n the menu are. Or 2. Everything on the menu has gigachad aura. When we walked into pickup the food, our host was immediately available with our to-go boxes. Everything was packed nicely and we received an appropriate amount of napkins, chopsticks, hot sauce etc for 3 people. She was smiling and overall the exchange was positive. Def would recommend.

Very quiet. The only people there again! Food is good and prepared fresh. Service was excellent but not over baring. A great spot for a quiet late lunch.

It appears Kungfu Kitchen has pivoted to more authentic Chinese recipes. It is still rather expensive, as mentioned in my last review, but it is well worth it. The Pork Soup Dumplings are amazing. We also really liked Yuxiang Eggplant, the Dandan Noodles, the Fried String Beans, and the Scallion Pancake with Beef.

Was in the mood for Szechuan food so we came to kungfu kitchen. Got a lot of items to try which are pictured below. This included the Shanghai pan fried pork buns, spicy shredded pork with cilantro, pork soup dumplings, chongqing spicy chicken, spicy sliced beef tendon in chili oil, and cucumber salad. To be honest, there was not any dish that stood out to me. It was all fine but a little too pricy for the taste and the portion. Service was meh, there was not enough people working. There was only one waitress who was trying to run the whole entire restaurant, from dine in to carry out. Our order also came out not uniformly, where we got some dishes really early on and some towards the end of our meal. Ambiance was alright and it was clean. Overall, it's an okay place, I just don't think I would come again if they don't improve in service and taste.

The soup dumplings here aren't that bad. Service is ok. There are plenty of seating available for large or small groups. They are a bit pricey for the food that's mediocre.

really good! friendly service and delicious food! maybe the best soup dumplings in the DMV!! The string beans were especially tasty! The mapo tofu is very well done here and not too spicy at all! great!

Came here for their soup dumplings. I thought the service was nice and the food quality was decent. I craved for better soup dumplings after trying the pork one here. The pan fried dumplings were better I think. I ordered the scallion pancake with meat but the server brought me just scallion pancakes. The decorations are a bit strange. There are Lego figures in the front window and a hand drawn wall. The chopsticks were wooden and seemed like they have gone through a lot of use. I was tempted to ask for disposable ones. There is plenty of parking right outside so that is convenient. There's a huge soup bowl looking sink in the bathroom.

This is a family-run restaurant and it was great to see that they had their very young son manning the counter and the cash register in a totally professional way. The menu is straight-forward with the usual and expected dishes. One dish I did not expect to see, but did, were hush puppies! Everything we ordered for takeout was excellent. Portions are generous and inexpensive. Note: there are two tables in the restaurant if you prefer to dine in. We ordered egg drop soup, crispy pork wontons, Mongolian Chicken and Mongolian Beef. The egg drop soup was better than your typical egg drop soup, with a flavorful broth and silky but still hearty texture. The wontons were packed with pork and came with a tasty bright red dipping sauce that complimented the wontons nicely. The Mongolian Beef and Mongolian Chicken are the same dish, with the only difference being the meat. These dishes were very well prepared with just the right amount of onion, scallion and sauce. The beef had a delicious slightly smoky flavor and was cut into nicely shaped pieces. The Mongolian dishes automatically come with white rice. Speaking of the rice, it had a great texture and just the right amount of moisture. Take out orders may take up to a half hour for them to be prepared, but it is well worth the wait. We will be back.

We've eaten at nearly every asian restaurant in the area because we're pretty picky and if we want consistently good American Chinese food where we'd actually finish the leftovers, we always come here. We only wished sometimes they'd offer real Chinese dishes and a smaller portion for smaller price (so we can order more dishes) but that might be adventurous, though I feel for this area the palate would allow it. Also, as a security person I want to comment on the website/credit card compromise several old reviews mention: This type of scam is happening to other restaurants in the area (such as Momo's) and I would recommend against ever ordering online through websites (for pickup or delivery). UberEats and GrubHub takes a painful bite out of profits for small restaurants, but BeyondMenu doesn't take as much of a cut and the restaurant gets to use their own delivery drivers. I support them this way. I recommend the restaurant consolidate their orders in a safe way that discourages online ordering through their website to avoid this issue. Finally, phone orders are probably still a good way to do business, but I recommend pickup and to pay with tap or smart chip, not slide. I really think they deserve more stars than they have.

The food came out a little bit slow despite the restaurant not being full, which contributed to us eating less than I expected to during the 90 min res.
