    Beef Chow Foon

If you're looking for a classic American Chinese restaurant then look no further. There are a number of reasons why I'd rate this 5/5. The prices are very fair for the entrees. The portions are quite generous and to-go containers are filled. Every dish I thought was delicious and I ordered a variety of dishes to eat throughout the week. Chicken dishes are the crispy gone soggy texture. I'm not bothered by this. The dishes that weren't sauced had a good crispy texture. The only item I thought was maybe a little lackluster was the rangoons. It's just a folded wonton with cream cheese, but dipped in the sweet and sour sauce... still delicious. The shrimp toast was nice and crispy... a little oily, but overall very little to complain about. The fried rice that you get in the dinner specials I might pass on and just go with the white rice. The chow fun was very good. I'd say this is a must order. Even the following day warmed up the noodles were able to separate and did not stick together like a blob. I've been looking for a long time to find a takeout spot like this and I definitely think I've found it. Sure, the food may not "instagrammable" but who cares? It's delicious.

I'm confused on the name of this restaurant. The receipts says "Ho Kim" and locals call it "Hos" but the outside name says "Peking Chinese " and the website is under "Peking express".... Idk... But as for the carry out itself, it came up as standard carry out for me. Not too bad But not all that Great either. Let's get into the Good stuff. I love a reasonably priced carry out and Peking was just that. The quantity of the food was very much appreciated aswell. The Mumbo sauce was classic. And I enjoyed the spicy sauce on my shrimp and broccoli. Some things that I didn't enjoy was the Mushy over cooked shrimp. The shrimp were so soft it crumbled like a mashed potato. And that's a no -No... horrible shrimp... The wings had a weird after taste and the meat tasted a little rubbery.. (kinda through me off with that.) The egg rolls were free (they give you 2 free egg rolls with your order which is a PLUS ) but I can tell why it's free. The taste was disappointed (over cooked and flavorless) Lastly the customer service was very dry. We're spending money in your establishment atlease you can greet your guest say hello or thank you when they leave. All in all.... Not a bad place. Very standard City style carry out (to me)...

Ordered food for delivery from Peking Express. We ordered steamed pork dumplings, Pork Lo Mein, Beef Chow Foon, General Tso's Shrimp, and Honey Sesame Shrimp. Their delivery was SOO fast. We received our order 20 minutes before we were expecting it which was great. The pork dumplings are a bit different now than what I had ordered previously. The wrappers are a bit more delicate now. The filling and the dipping sauce still tasted good and I would definitely order it again The General Tso's Shrimp had good flavor. For me, I found that the sauce was too watery and I would have enjoyed if it was a bit thicker. The shrimps were big however didn't have a nice crisp from being fried. The Honey Sesame Shrimp also had good flavors however was missing the crispiness. I am always a fan of their lo mein and their portions are always big so I always have leftovers. For their Beef Chow Foon, i was disappointed as it was pretty bland. I will probably try to recook it with more flavors and seasonings.

If I could leave negative stars, I would. I'm minding my business, eating my lo mein and general tso's and WHAT DO I FIND. METAL. There was metal in my chicken. Not in the noodles, not in the breading of the chicken, it was INSIDE THE MEAT OF THE CHICKEN. This isn't a piece of aluminum foil, this is a HARD SHARD OF METAL.

I order this place all the time. I typically get he general taoas chicken, shrimp fried rice and an eggroll. The food has been fresh & delicious everytime for the last 2 years. I definitely recommend this place. It very well may be the best Chinese food I've ever had.

Supposed to be chicken, corn soup.. that is NOT chicken

The ribs were dry and practically no meat. 70 % bone. The food is so so. Was just hungry and pining for Chinese food and they're near me.

It also has a really cool vibe on the inside. It's situated at the bottom of the Hyatt on King/Harvard. We ordered the samosa chat, pav bhaji, butter chicken, and CTM. Everything was so delicious. The samosa chaat comes with the tamarind and mint dressings already mixed in. Our server, Sam, was attentive and super kind! STEAMED CHICKEN MOMO (6) - 13 The chicken momos sat on top of a creamy chili garlic sauce that was a bit spicy. The momos were juicy and the filling was soft and flavorful. Good appetizer to share between the three of us. BUTTER CHICKEN - 19 Creamy and rich, tasted a bit sweeter than I was used to, almost like a chicken tikka masala. Pretty standard, but got the job done. Plenty of chicken in our curry. SAAG PANEER - 19 Vibrant green with the perfect loose, creamy texture that wasn't too chunky. Good amount of paneer in our portion. The spinach actually tasted like spinach, which I find rare at other restaurants that also serve saag/palak paneer. Definitely one of the better ones I've had! GARLIC NAAN - 4 Pretty typical, but good nonetheless. It was a bit greasy than I would have liked, but went well with the curries when we wanted to switch between bites of the basmati rice. Portions were pretty big and generous. Everything we ordered hit and all above average. The three of us were quite full after sharing an app + naan + two entrees. Stop by if you're in the area!

The restaurant had a back section that looked like it could be used as a separate party room and more booths and table in the front. Our server was good. He checked in with us frequently and made sure to keep us informed on our food status after taking our order. We tried the scallion bubble pancake, walnut shrimp, Mr Zhangs red braised pork belly, and beef chow fun. The bubble pancake was fun and had a good crunch and served with like a curry dip sauce. I would say if you get this, you should eat it first/soonest since i enjoyed it more at first bite while it was hot. The walnut shrimp was good, the shrimps were the smaller ones that were an easy way to snack. The braised pork belly was so tender. It reminded me of char siu, flavor wise, as long as you're ok with the pork belly (aka fatty pieces). Beef chow fun was good. They used nice wide noodles that were cooked well, not too soft, and had good onions, bean sprouts, and other veggies. I would come back try other things!

I only saw food items that looked really good. It wasn't until I saw the bubble pancake did I realize. So of course we ordered the bubble and bento to begin. Loved the variety in the bento box and wished that it came with at least two of the soup dumplings, siu mai, and har gow. You just can't share a soup dumpling! We ordered the chow fun and salt and pepper shrimp. This was the perfect amount of food for the two of us. The chow fun will always be my favorite childhood noodle dish. The shrimp was nice and crispy. And for any non-alcoholic drinkers out there, they have a lychee drink which was very refreshing. My only complaint is that with a party of seven, we were told that there was a $20 deposit per person for a reservation. Our reservation was for the non-busy hour of 4:30 p.m. I can understand large parties of say 20 or more in which you will be taking up a good portion of the restaurant but this policy is a first for me. Parking is available in the paid garage on the same block.
